I have pledged to read and donate 50 books and I'm at 41 books for the year.

I've also donated books I haven't read but can obtain from my local library, and books I will never read. The total for this year is 315.

Books I have read from my shelves
I have over a thousand unread books in my home and I wish to read at least 50 this year.

I decided that in addition to reading the 50 books for this challenge that I must clear the shelves by accepting that I need the space on my shelves for other things. I've now taken away stacks of books and after checking if my local library has a copy, given away many.

Just finished my first physical book - Ginny Moon by Benjamin Ludwig. I work with foster children in the juvenile system every day. I would love to say that Ginny's story is an anomaly, but it isn't. The novel is very well-done, and the subject matter and point of view make it a difficult but rewarding read. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars

Just completed another ebook - Distant Shores by Kristin Hannah. An interesting, well-written book about a woman being brave enough to fight for her happiness. Good, complex characters and some nice twists along the way. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Yes, because ebooks is an electronic book so any book that is presented on a screen is an electronic book.

The Power Of One

Loved this book, The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. The book flowed, the storytelling was exceptional, sometimes mesmerizing, and the end was a surprise. It is hard to believe this was the author's 1st book. He was born to write!
