25.6 - Lavender's Task: Derivative Work
Book 1: I read Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie.
Book 2: I read Three Theban Plays by Sophocles. Because the playscript of Antigone is not greater than 100 pages on it's own, I read the entirety of this edition which contains all three Theban plays: Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone.
Home Fire is a re-working/re-telling of Sophocles's play Antigone - it's not in the GR blurb, but the connection is mentioned in many reviews/commentary. This link is to the Guardian review.

Task #50.1 - On the Mend
Option 1 - Read a book with a present-tense action verb that requires active use of the limbs in motion in the title. I read Dancing with the Devil in the City of God: Rio de Janeiro and the Olympic Dream by Juliana Barbassa (336pp).

Option 2 - Read a book by an author she has read in her travels (found in posts 14-16). I picked Edwidge Danticat from Haiti in post #15, and read Haiti Noir. Because she is the editor and a contributor, rather than the sole author, I had this approved in the task help thread (posts 40 and 42). (300pp).

Option 6 - Read a book by an author whose initials can be found in PHYSICALTHERAPY. I read A Perfect Crime by A Yi (208pp).

336+300+208 = 844pp
