Damon grinned "it's a new record Lex! You are going to be perfect soon!"

Lexi smiled, resting her hands on her knees. "Thank you." She said, looking down for a moment as she caught her breath. "Soon, but not yet." She sighed. "And only three weeks left..."

Damon nodded "you'll be fine." He assured "The Elders will accept this time...but I know you can do better. I have faith in you love...go get some water and a snack you need a break."

Lexi nodded and smiled, encouraged by his words. "Thank you." She said, going to the fridge and pulling out an apple, before pouring a glass of water. She bit down into the apple's sweet flesh, smiling softly as she snacked.

Damon came up behind her and smiled hugging her close and kissing her neck "I don't want to be a tough coach anymore." He practically pouted

Lexi smiled and closed her eyes. "Mmmm. Well I really like what you're doing now." She cooed, turning her head to the side so she could kiss his cheek.

Damon smiled and kissed her lips lovingly "when this is all over you and I are going on a long vacation..." He promised and nuzzled her taking a bite of her apple and grinned.

Lexi lit up. "That sounds absolutely lovely." She said dreamily. "I'll hold you to that." She grinned. Then she hit his arm playfully. "Hey! Get your own!"

Damon chuckled "but yours always taste better!" He protested and pecked her lips. "Alright I guess our next focus is walking through solid matter right?"

Lexi nodded nervously. To be honest, she didn't really want to practice this one, or use it at all. Getting stuck halfway in a wall was extremely painful, as she had figured out pretty quickly. "Yeah." She agreed, sighing softly.

Damon rubbed her back "you will be fine...we have to train every aspect of your powers to impress the Elders. I know you can do this..." He soothed kissing her head. "We will try thin walls first" he went to the garage and got different size walls he created for this purpose.

Lexi nodded, breathing deeply as she tried to find the courage that seemed to have deserted her right then. "Ok." She agreed. "I'll try." She took a couple steps back from it and ran at the wall at a jog, hoping to get through it faster. She closed her eyes for the actual passing and was surprised to run smack into the wall, not passing through it at all. Utterly embarrassed, she tried again, and managed to pass through this time, but very slowly, and with a lot of focus. She shook her head, looking away from the wall. "I can't do it." She whispered.

Damon frowned "if you keep saying that you won't be able to...you did just fine, it's hard. When I first transported I would leave half my body or an arm or leg behind. I felt stupid and like I couldn't do it...but I practiced and now it's my favorite and most useful one."

Lexi sighed and raked a hand through her hair. "It's very hard to believe that I'll ever like this one. But if you insist..." She stared at the wall determinedly and started to walk through it. When she did, it felt like she was walking against a current, or a strong wind, but she did pass through. "You're right. It's hard." She said, glaring at the wall. Oh how she wanted to kick it right now.

Damon frowned seeing how angry she was and hugged her close "if it's that horrible you don't have to do it..." He whispered, though they had to come up with something to really wow them!

Lexi shook her head determinedly. "No. Ill get it. I just have to practice more I guess." She said, sighing. She walked towards the wall and passed through it slowly again, but a little faster.

Damon grabbed his stop watch and grinned pressing the button "that's faster then last time, alright let's get training!"

Lexi nodded and her lips pressed into a thin line as she focused on passing through that wall as fast as she could.

Again and again they practiced till it just came second nature to her. Damon grinned and kissed her deeply "that's my girl! You tell me where we are going for vacation!"

Lexi grinned proudly and kissed him back, before running kisses down his jaw to his ear. "Somewhere alone with you, in the sun." She whispered in his ear, kissing it gently.

Damon shivered and eyed her kissing the side of her mouth and slipping his hands to her waist "you got it...just us, I won't even bring my cell phone."

Lexi smiled and started kissing down his neck. "Perfect." She agreed. She shivered when she felt his hands on her waist. She had freaked out the first time he did that, but now she felt it was quite nice. She was trying to be brave and adventurous for him. She was trying to not be afraid.

Damon took it slow with her, she was still healing but he didn't want her to be afraid. He wanted to love her all of her but he knew how fragile that side of her was. He caressed her waist and smiled down at her "I love you"

Lexi broke away from his neck and smiled up into his eyes. "I love you too." she said softly, kissing his lips gently. "Thank you. By the way. For being gentle and patient with me. I know I can be annoying sometimes."
((I am going now for a little while. Wont be back till tonight.))

Damon shook his head "I love you, and that means making sure that you are comfortable and happy...I am going to take it as slow as you need alright?"

Torch nodded, grinning. "Of course it will be fun! I can't wait." He assured her, kissing her cheek. "Were would you like to go?"
Lexi nodded and smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "Thank you." She said softly, loving just spending time with him like this. He made her feel safe, protected, and brave.

Mae smiled and shrugged "surprise me!" She said eagerly and slipped off of the counter "I'm going to go get ready alright?"
Damon stroke back her hair and smiled rubbing her back "you're my most important priority right now, whatever you need I'll do it."

Lexi nodded and smiled. Then she thought for a moment. "Why are you so worried about your demon side?" She asked. "I have heard you and Torch talking. Talking about how you isn't really you and honestly I have no idea what you're talking about." She said, sighing softly. "I guess what I am saying, is that I want to know you. All of you. The real you. So if this isn't you, what you're being around me... then..." She looked up at him.

Damon shut his eyes tight, once he thought he could escape that side she always brought it up again...he couldn't do it, it was harder and harder to stay in control these days with him being so open with her. "Please Lex...this is the best side of me...none of it is fake. I'm honest with you..."

Lexi sighed softly. "Im sorry. I just... I want you to be you. I dont want to fall in love with something fake." She said, looking down. She was worried that all of this was too good to be true.

Damon swallowed feeling sick to his stomach and nodded "yeah..." He sighed running his hand through his hair "I'm going to go shower ok?..."

Lexi nodded. It was a very random response to her, but she wasn't going to question him. "Alright. Ill be here." She said, walking over to the sofa and plopping onto it.

Damon went up to the bathroom and sank in the empty tub sobbing, he didn't know what to do. She thinks he is fake, and he couldn't show her that side ever! Why couldn't things just stay nice the way they were? He loved her!

Lexi flicked on the tv and fliped through channels, looking at everything while she waited for Damon to finish up. Why was he always so distressed about his demon form? Lexi didnt understand.

Mae blinked as his phone rang and watched him pull off the side of the road to talk.

Lexi ended up falling asleep on the couch, the tv still on.

Lexi jerked awake. What was that? What on earth was going on? Was Damon ok? He should just be taking a shower, right? Lexi jumped up and ran upstairs, but when she got to the bathroom, she just stared in through the doorway, swallowing slowly. What she saw chilled her to the bone. She was frozen in place, her eyes locked on the creature, even though she wanted to look away. What was that!? Did it get Damon!? Lexi felt panic rising in her throat. But then she frowned a little as a thought crossed her mind, and the second it did, her mouth fell open a little. "D-Damon?" She asked hesitantly.

Damon's eyes glared at the being standing at the framework of the door. He had no thought process of who it was, he wasn't Damon anymore, he sauntered towards her, his claws scratching against the tiles like nails on a chalk board. He made another screech and then charged for her.

Lexi backed up a little. "Damon?" she asked again, her heart thudding in her chest. She knew it was him. She could feel in her heart that it was him. It made sense now, why he was reluctant to shift. "Are you ok?" she asked him. As always, she was more worried about his needs than her own. And she honestly didn't believe that Damon would actually hurt her.

Damon snarled and ripped up the floorboards and the upper floor bannister of the stairs. He knocked her over by her knees sending her down the stairs. He jumped on the ceiling hanging by his claws and tore that up as well till it was nothing but plywood.

Lexi shrieked when she found herself tumbling head over heals down the stairs. Her ankle crunched sickeningly beneath her and she cried out, holding it in her hands once she was at the bottom of the stairs. She looked up at Damon in fear and crawled backwards away from him. "W-what are you doing?" She asked him, panicked.

Damon grabbed the blade in his claw and started ripping at his skin, once he heard her scream in pain. His human side was fighting hard and hated himself, he wanted to end this and not hurt anybody ever again! He promised her...

Torch leaped out of the car and sprinted into the house, shifting into his demon form in mid leap. The dragon landed on Damon and knocked him to the floor, one claw on each of his limbs. He wrenched the blade away in his jaws and snapped it. He growled, his eyes flashing. Get a hold of yourself! Come on. I know you have more control than that!

Damon snarled knocking him over and panting lightly, green acid drool dripped from his mouth. He finally recognized Torch and slumped in defeat making a screech of sadness. His black skin was torn up but he didn't care, he hurt the only girl he could ever love...he noticed Mae had left with her, they were past the time that being apart would kill him but he wished he could just die.

Torch let himself roll before sitting up and folding his wings. There you go. He said gently. Lexi will be alright mate. Chin up. Can you shift back? He said, shifting himself as he asked. He put his hands in his pockets and watched his friend sadly.

Damon slowly and painfully shifted back, he looked defeated and exhausted. He refused to look at his friend or the mess he caused...but he just stared at the blood at the bottom of the stairs...he did that. She would never trust him again, he lost her...
Lexi's face was set in grim determination. The second he started the stop watch, she frowned and focused. Then she went invisible, and about one second later, she was visible again, and then another second, invisible. It was still slow, but much faster than she had been before.
