Mae laughed and held on as she nuzzled him "somewhere quiet and romantic" she mused playing with his spikey hair.Damon grinned ecstatic that she liked them as well! "Let's start with the first then!" He got the movie started and brought back the popcorn.
Torch nodded. "You got it." He agreed, pumping his wings higher and soaring up through the clouds. He leveled out and floated for a while, before swooping down to a hill that overlooked the city. He set her down gently, sitting down on the soft grass and folding his tired wings.Lexi grinned plopping down on the couch as the movie started. She waited for him to join before snuggling up against him and relaxing. This was perfect. This was where she wanted to be.
Mae smiled and lay on his stomach and watched the stars starting to appear "so love...a name list?" She glanced upside down at him and smiled.Damon smiled and kissed her head feeding her a chocolate strawberry "are you happy love?..."
Torch smiled and stroked her hair gently. "Hmmm. Yes. Names. Any ideas?" He asked her, looking up at the stars.Lexi grinned nodding and resting her head on his chest. "Happy doesn't even begin to describe it." She said softly, smiling up at him. She kissed his cheek gently.
Mae smiled "I'll pick the girl name, and you pick the boy one...whichever it is." She played with the bump feeling the movement "so will it automatically be a demon?...or have a chance to choose?"Damon grinned down at her and kissed her tenderly "you introduced that emotion to me my love..." He whispered and played with her soft curls "would you ever want a family after the month is up?..."
Torch sighed softly. "It can be either human or demon. But most choose to be demons anyways." He said, shaking his head. Then he nodeed and smiled. "Sure. That works out well. But what if you dont like the name I choose?"Lexi smiled and hugged him. "I did nothing. You discovered it on your own." She encouraged. Then she bit her lip. "I would love a family with you." She looked up at him shyly. "But im kind of scared of being pregnant and childbirth..."
Mae smiled "just tell me! I'm sure I will love it" she assured and blinked "they just kicked! Baby feel!" She put his hand where she felt it her face glowing with excitement.Damon nodded a little "whatever you want love, we'll take it slow enjoy every moment. You can babysit Mae's kid when they need a break."
Torch smiled at her look of excitement. He gently placed his hand on her stomach to feel the baby. "I feel it!" He exclaimed. Then he smiled. "I have always like James." He said honestly.Lexi nodded and smiled, resting her head against him. "Thank you." She closed her eyes and let herself relax, slowly falling asleep in his arms.
Mae smiled and kissed him "I love the name James...I'm hoping they will keep their name and not a nickname. Not that I don't love my Torch!" She added and stroke his cheek.Damon smiled and turned off the movie as he lifted her into his arms and carried her upstairs to their bed and tucked her in. Tomorrow was a big day and she needed all the sleep she could get.
Torch laughed softly. "If I didnt have a reason to use a nickname, I wouldnt have gotten one." He said, kissing her back. His hand rested gently on her waist.Lexi slept soundly even though she was being moved. She was in a deep sleep as she was so tired from today's training. She smiled softly in her sleep, looking positively happy.
Mae smiled and pulled him closer while she lay on the soft grass. "I like the name London....and the middle name Marie, whichever it is I know they will be perfect." She played in his hair and pecked his lips "I'm a little nervous..." She admitted.The next morning Damon woke up early to fix her a healthy breakfast and pull her training clothes together. He had taken care of all the preparation work and now she just had to shine and blow them away. He had no doubts that she wouldn't pass. They would love her!
Torch hugfed her gently, rubbing her arms soothingly. "Ill be here everystep of the way." He promised. "You'll be great." He assured.Lexi groaned when she woke up and her heart immediately started pounding. Today was the day. She jumped up and started getting dressed. "Oh gosh oh gosh. How am I going to do this!?" She muttered to herself.
Mae smiled up at him and nodded holding him close, he was so perfect and she loved him so much "let's head home? I'm kind of feeling tired..." She yawned and snuggled into his chest.Damon came in with the food and helped her get ready "you are going to be great Lex, just remember what we trained and always be respectful...it'll be done soon and then we can just be alone afterwards alright?"
Torch nodded and smiled. "Sure thing." He agreed, scooping her gently into his arms and standing slowly. He spread his large leathery wings and took to the air with two powerful flaps.Lexi nodded, breathing through pursed lips to try and calm down. "Ok.' She nodded slowly. "And after we'll be alone." She repeated, just to assure herself. Despite her apparent control over her emotions, her hands were shaking badly.
Mae held on and sighed trying to ignore the instant nausea. They arrived home and she got ready for bed. She grinned in the mirror at her curve "Alex...do the supernatural have a quicker pregnancy? I'm bigger then I should be"Damon took her hands and gripped them tightly "breathe...it's time to go, you ready?" He asked softly and took her down to the giant black gates of hell. "Welcome to hell, home sweet home."
Torch walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist gently. "Yeah. Sometimes they do. It isnt uncommon." He agreed, nodding. "How much longer at this rate?" He asked, curious.Lexi nodded, trying to relax. When they reached hell, she stared up at the giant black gates. "Crap. This doesnt do anything for nerves. Why dont we just have the exam in the scariest place ever!?" She stuck close to Damon as they slowly moved inside.
Mae looked up at him "I don't know...but I'm not going back to the exam room from Hell...literally." She moved his hands and smiled and then blinked, two kicks in different places "did you feel that?"Damon kissed her cheek "home sweet home..." They moved to the main hall and in front of the long table. The same woman stood and smiled "welcome Lexi, we've heard great things about you. Please, don't be nervous dear."
Torch laughed. "Ok. You dont have to go back." He promised. Then he shifted his hands to feel the kicking, and he grinned. "Now thats something." He said reverently. He was beyond excited to be a father.Lexi smiled and nodded nervously at the woman who had adressed her. "Thank you." She said politely, managing a small smile. She couldn't calm the fluttering in her heart and stomach. She would end up making Damon into a slave if she failed, and those were high stakes.
Mae was pushing on her stomach and frowned confused "I felt them both at the same time...unless the baby was doing the splits that is impossible..."Victoria the woman smiled "Damon have a seat" she respected the demon highly. Damon sat and watched cautiously. "Dear, will you pleases shift for us?" She asked calmly and kindly.
((So sorry but I have to go now and I wont be on for the next four days :( until then. ))
Torch laughed softly at her realization. "Or there could be two of them..." he pointed out, kissing her cheek. Lexi looked around the crowd at everyone there and her hands started to tremble. Damon was there, but somehow his eyes didnt help. She nodded slowly and shifted in the blink of an eye. She stood with her claws extended and ears flattened back like she had been taught.
((Yay! :) ))Mae paled slightly and then a smile found it's way on her face "no wonder I'm getting big...twins!" She hugged him tightly and nuzzled him "looks like we are going to have to do some changes on the nursery"
Damon nodded glad that she remembered, he glanced at the Elders who were writing and whispering to each other "very good Lexi." A dummy was placed in front of her that looked like a human "how would you attack if provoked? Please demonstrate"
Torch smiled happily running a hand through her hair. "That shouldnt be too hard to arrange." He promised. He grinned. "We're going to be parents! "Lexi nodded, breathing slowly through her nose as her pupils dilated. In one second, she was standing in front of the dummy, and in the next second, she was on the other side, its head in her mouth. Being mostly cat she was graced with amazing agility, speed, and reflexes.
Mae laughed and nodded hugging him tightly "I love you so much!" She pecked his nose and nuzzled him "let's go baby shopping tomorrow! I'm so excited now!"Damon grinned excitedly, that was awesome! The demons nodded in approval and smiled "very good, shift back and show us how you would attack in human form?"
Torch grinned, hugging her tight. "Sure thing luv." He kissed the top of her head. He guided her gently to their bed and slipped under the covers with her. "Tomorrow, ok?"Lexi nodded, shifting back as a new dummy was placed in front of her. She kept her wings. That was allowed, right? After all, demons did keep their wings out most of the time. Her eyes flashed yellow and she waved her hand in a slicing motion sideways. The dummy's head severed and fell off without her even touching it. That was a trick she had been saving and practicing on her own.
Mae smiled and nodded snuggling into his chest and sighing trying to lay comfortably "Damon and Lexi are doing their test...hope it goes well..."Damon blinked and nearly stood in surprise, where did that come from?! They did not practice that! The demons were even more pleased "excellent, now you will fight against our strongest demon...Damon, no killing but maiming is fine. It's not whether you defeat him it's about creativity and on the ball thinking."
Torch nodded. Part of him was waiting, watching for when his friends would emerge. He held her gently, smiling a little. "Goodnight my love."He whispered.Lexi's eyes widened. Nothing they had trained would prepair her for this. She shook her head back and forth. "No. No you cant do that. Hes my mentor!" She exclaimed. "Please. I dont want to fight him." She begged.
Mae smiled and yawned falling asleep on him pretty quickly, she was exhausted and he was so warm that she felt utterly safe.Damon held her shoulders and shook his head, telling her not to argue. He nodded to the Elder's I'll let her have the upper hand..." He put on his wrist guards and helped her with hers and hugged her tightly "it's going to be alright...just do what I taught you."
Torch watched his girl for a while, stroking her hair gently as she slept against him. Then he allowed his softly glowing eyes to close, and ye quickly fell asleep.Lexi hugged him back, wanting so badly to refuse, but she would listen to him and not argue. The wrist guards felt like cuffs and a soft cry rose in her throat. She didnt nod nor shake her head at Damon. She just stared at him in shock and fear. "I cant." She finally choked out so only he could hear. "I cant hurt you."
Damon gave her a look "you have no choice in this matter Lex! If you don't I'll get killed anyways...it'll be alright..." He let her go and sighed waiting for her to go into defense position. This was a cruel test but she still had to pass! He gave her a nod and the demons waited in anticipation.
Lexi gulped slowly. He was right. He would be killed anyways... so hurting him was for his own good. Hat was what she had to convince herself. Because inside she was tearing. Tearing because of what she had to do. It was something she had sworn never to do. She nodded numbly and tried to relax, shifting into the defensive position. Her eyes were not sharp like they usually were. "Your move." She whispered, too numb to attack him first.
Damon swallowed, his mind trying to think of any moved that wouldn't hurt her. If he blocked her moves he wouldn't get hurt either! He grabbed onto her in a soft back lock knowing she knew how to get out of it.
Lexi snapped down and shoved out at the same time, getting away from him. She turned to face him and just stood there. She couldnt do this. Shcpuldnt bring herself to make the first move. She bit her lip and looked down for a moment, before looking back at him. "Make me mad. Its the only way I could fight you."
Damon swallowed not knowing how to make her mad, "you can't do it anyways, mad or not...you are just a weak fledgling...anyone can push you around." He hoped with all of his heart that she knew he was completely lying.
Lexi bit her lip. She blew a blast at him, one blast by flicking her her hand at him. Her eyes had glazed further. "Keep going." She whispered. She knew why he was doing this, but it still struck her, even though she knew it was necessary.
Damon ducked the blow and swallowed trying to think of things that wouldn't crumble her "You need someone to save you for everything! You are a damsel in distress that can't even hurt a fly! You are nothing! You aren't a demon just a wimpy angel...there isn't anything scary about you!"
The life in her eyes left that instant. Lexi's hands curled into fists and a growl/cry escaped her lips. A rapid succession of blows emanated from her and she jumped on him, tackling him to the ground. She stared at him for a full minute before she bit her lip and turned her face away, pulling herself off of him. She backed up and didnt look at him.
Damon got pretty badly beat up and groaned trying to sit up but his stomach hurt far too much. He gave her a small smile "that's my girl..." He looked at the Elders and they nodded "you have proven yourself strong and worthy Lexi." They handed her a black certificate with a red ribbon "we are pleased to have you join us."
Lexi nodded, swallowing slowly. "Thanks." She managed to wheeze. She walked over to Damon and scooped him up, carrying him up to earth. She set him down in bed and methodically bound his wounds and dressed him into pjs, making sure he was comfortable before leaving quietly.
Damon frowned worriedly after her "Lexi..." He begged not wanting her to go, he was so angry with the Elders for forcing her to fight him...he was more angry at himself however for the things that he said. "Please...stay..."
Lexi paused at the door. He didnt deserve this. He didnt deserve how she was acting, and she didnt want him to feel bad. So she shrugged. "Im hungry. Im going to go get food." She lied, slipping out the door and down stairs. She grabbed an apple to make it look like she was eating, and then just cried.
Damon sighed and lay back in the pillows and shut his eyes, he wished they could just be happy for once, without any loopholes or problems. He slowly sat up wincing the entire time as he called Torch, he knew it was late but oh well.
Torch groaned, waking up slowly. He jerked up however when he realized Damon was calling him. "I'll be right back." He promised Mae, before jumping up and flying to Damon's. He flew in a window. "What's up?" He asked. He would normally have just talked to him, but he was worried because the test was today.
Damon hung up the phone and chuckled painfully "never one to do the expected..." He lay back down "The Elders forced Lexi to fight me...she wouldn't do it so I had to make her mad...she won't even look at me, I wish I could go down and talk to her but as you can see I can't even sit up well..."
Torch's eyes widened. He thought about him fighting Mae and he immediately shuddered. "Crap Damon. That's messed." He sighed. "Want me to bring her up her for you?" He asked.
Damon nodded "yeah, if you could that would be great...yeah they are getting more twisted everyday, how's your preggo angel doing?"
Torch smiled happily. "She's great." He replied, grinning. He walked to the door. 'Ill be right back." He promised. He ran downstairs, and walked in on Lexi sobbing. He shifted awkwardly. "Can you go upstairs please Lex? Damon wants to see you." He asked gently.Lexi nodded slowly, frantically trying to whipe away her tears. She walked up the stairs slowly and stood in the doorframe, hoping her eyes didnt look as swollen as they felt.
Damon instantly caught onto the redness of her eyes and tear stained cheeks and shirt. He motioned her over his face full of worry, she still wouldn't look at him...he glanced at Torch hoping he got the clue that he could head back home.
Lexi laughed. "Who said watching Lord of the Rings is nerdy!? It's a good movie! And I haven't seen them in years..." She shook her head sadly.
