Lexi heard screaming and she looked up from the babies she was trying to calm. There was a storm raging outside and Lexi immediately knew it was Mae. What had happened? She got up quickly, debating whether to help her friend, or watch the kids.

Mae stormed to Hell and caused a ruckous heading quickly to Lucas and wrapping her hands around his neck "you killed him!"

Lexi ran into the room, saw Damon on the floor, and practically went into hysterics. "What did you do!?" She screamed, draping herself over Damon. "What did you do to him!?"
Torch growled. "Leave him alone and get Mae now!" He shouted at her.
Lexi growled and leaped at Torch, trying to tear his throat out. "You killed Damon!" She cried. "You killed him!"
Lucas knocked her off him and summoned the guards of the pallace, having them swarm around her. "You have made a very fatal mistake my dear. It shall cost you, make no mistake about that."

Mae growled attacking the guards "kill me! I don't care! You took the only thing that msttered!"

Torch sighed softly and knelt by his friend, helping him sit up. "Sorry, and thank you." He said, laughing weakly. "This really is a mess. I just hope Mae doesn't do something stupid."
Lucas frowned. "No. I didn't. He left you himself." He said seriously. "I will not kill you. Death is a coward's way out." He hissed, nodding to the guards. A control cuff was snapped around Mae's neck. It would weaken and sedate her, keeping her tame while they figured out what to do with her.

Mae cried out as she crumbled, his words echoed in her head 'he left you himself...'

Lexi made it into hell, and when she saw Mae, she flew over to her and gathered her into her arms. "Mae... Mae what have you done?" She asked. "Torch is alright. I promise. Damon brought him back. You need to stop fighting." She looked up at Lucas. "I'm sorry. She's a little out of it, don't blame her for this, she acted out of panic."

Mae weakly opened her eyes and was going to speak but a shock went through her body and she fell limply again, defeated and trapped. She didn't believe that Torch was back, she watched him die.

Lexi bit her lip, seeing her friend wince and fall back, almost as if she had been struck. What was wrong with her? Lexi hugged her closer, "He's alive." She promised gently. "You'll be alright."

Mae couldn't respond or she would be struck again, she looked at Lucas weakly and let go of Lexi "go...home..." She whispered knowing that Lucas wasn't going to take back this action. She deserved it.

Torch folded his wings and knelt by his girl, deeply disturbed by the collar around her neck. It matched the cuff on his arm exactly, and he knew what it was for, as well as its effects. He picked her up gently in his arms, kissing her forehead. "Mae..." He whispered, tears springing into his eyes.

Lucas glared, grinding his teeth as he tried to make a decision. Then he nodded numbly. "Just this once." He said firmly, and the collar around Mae's neck snapped off.
Torch smiled. "Time to go home baby." He said gently, scooping her up and taking off back to his house.
Lexi got up and spread her own wings, flying back towards the house and Damon.

Damon was struggling to even stand let alone walk, his balance was off without his huge black wings.

Lexi swooped inside and ran upstairs, finding Damon standing, but not looking great at all. She ran over to him and looped his arm over her shoulders, helping him stand. "Are you ok?" She asked, worried.

Damon leaned into her nearly collapsing "yeah..."

Lexi frowned, helping him over to Torch's bed where she lowered him slowly. "No you're not. Please tell me what is wrong?" she asked, hoping she could help him.

Damon sighed "I gave Torch my wings...I'm just off balanced...I'm fine really!"

Lexi paled, swallowing hard. "You. You what?" She asked, looking up into his eyes with worry. "Damon..." She said, her hand brushing over his cheek gently. "You shouldn't have done that." She whispered.

Damon shook his head "I'm stronger than him, I can handle it better...Lexi, I just have to get used to it..."

Lexi shook her head furiously. "Damon. I know what wings mean to demons. I have not always been a demon, I'll fare better without wings than you will. Take mine." She insisted, pleading him with her eyes. "Please." She begged.

Damon shook his head "no Lex...it doesn't work that way. It was a true sacrifice which is why he's alive...I'll be on really!"

Lexi frowned in determination. "Well I'm going to make a true sacrifice and give you my wings." She said seriously. "Don't pretend like you don't want them." She said, almost in a scolding fashion. "Besides. How are you supposed to protect me and our future family without wings?" She asked. "I can't have you weak." She said, kissing his cheek. She truely was worried about him.

Damon sighed "I do want them...but I can't take yours. It doesn't work like that...I could give Torch mine because he was dead and I was saving him...it's not something that can usually happen."

Lexi bit her lip. "But you're not doing well. Why can't I give you mine?" She asked. She looked up at him, pain in her eyes. "I hate seeing you like this Damon. I just want you to be happy."

Damon gave a small smile "I will be....if it means that much to you I suppose you could ask the Elders...but it hurts, I don't want you feeling like this either..."

Lexi's eyes widened. "It hurts!? You've been hurting and you never told me!?" She asked, chewing her lip. "When you get the wings, come get me out of hell, ok?" She asked, unfurling her wings and flying down into hell. She had made up her mind. She couldn't stand Damon being in pain and wingless when she knew how disgraceful that was for a demon.

Damon was going to protest but he obviously couldn't follow her, he cursed and lay against the pillows and worried about her...it did hurt he could hardly walk and he didn't want her to hurt.

Lexi reached hell and immediately went to the elders. "I'm here to request giving up my wings." the courtyard went silent and Lucas stood. "Whom do you want to give them to?" He asked.
"Damon." She said, without faltering.
Lucas nodded. "Very well." He waved his hand and two bloody red lines slowly appeared on her back, just as they had on Torch's. Lexi gasped, but she bit back the tears. She sank to her knees weakly, unable to stand.

Damon felt the sharp burn and the wings appeared on his back. He swallowed hating it and dove down going to his Lexi and holding her close "can you please get a healing balm for her?..."

Lexi leaned against Damon, closing her eyes and breathing heavily. She managed a smile. "I did it." She whispered.
A vial of balm was brought to him, and left in his hands. "Apply once daily." The girl instructed, before leaving as quickly as she had come.

Damon started to cry and nodded his thanks as he carried her back to their house and spread the balm over her back carefully as he cried.

Lexi winced when his hands touched the wounds where her wings were severed. She heard a soft sound behind her, and by shifting her head, she was able to see Damon's tears. "Don't cry." She whispered. "Please. Don't cry for me."

Damon shook his head "im allowed to cry...I hurt you...because of selfish reasons...baby I'm so sorry..."

Lexi bit her lip. "No. No. I hurt myself. You can't blame yourself for that. even if you had done this Damon, I wouldn't stop loving you." She said softly, smiling up at him, even though she had tears of pain in her eyes. She refused to dwell in it. It was pain she had inflicted on herself.

Damon kissed her neck tenderly and leaned in close trying to sooth the pain "thank you..." He felt ashamed that he didn't express his gratitude for such an amazing gift.

Lexi closed her eyes, smiling happily when he kissed her neck. She sighed in pleasure and nodded. "You're welcome." She said, opening her eyes again and smiling at him. Yes, her back burned like nothing else, but when he touched her, held her, kissed her, she forgot about everything but him.

Don kissed her lips tenderly and played with her hair "baby...I want to start our family...it's like an overwhelming thing." He took her hand and kissed it.

Lexi kissed him back, smiling happily. Her smile turned into a curious stare when he started talking about their family. "You want to... want to have kids?" She asked, clarifying. "Now?"

Damon bit his lip and nodded "yeah...I don't know, I just...I'm sorry, nevermind..." He said embarrased

Lexi smiled, amused by how cute he was when he blushed. "We can have kids now if you wish Damon." She said softly, giving her consent. "I'm ok with trying to have them now."

Damon kissed her deeply "grazi..." He chuckled "why am I the one with longing? Thought that's the woman."

Lexi smiled and grunting softly, she flipped herself onto her back so that she could look up at him easily, and get better access to his lips. She pulled him down on top of her and took advantage of the moment, kissing him again. "Hm. Well. I'm pretty sure the guy can long as well." She teased. "I'm flattered that you do." she said, smiling up at him.

Damon smiled and played with her hair lovingly "is it what you want though? You are the vessel of the child..."

Lexi bit her lip, remembering Mae's birth, and then thinking back to the joy of the kids. She nodded. "Yes. It's what I want." She assured, nodding slowly. She was nervous, yes, but she trusted Damon to stand by her through it all.

Damon smiled "I'll be here every step...I love you Lexi" he tenderly touched her waist and up her stomach "you'll be an amazing mom...I see you with the twins and I have no doubt..."

Lexi smiled back. "Thank you. And you know I love you with all my heart." She said, shivering when he touched her stomach. She loved having someone who would look out for her, someone she could trust. And she loved how his hands made her blush, even when they were just wrapped around her in a hug.
