Name: Mae Ringly
Species: Angel
Age: 17

Mae was in the music conservatory she was playing the piano gracefully, almost heavenly if someone wanted to be ironic about it. The keys trickled and filled the hall with peaceful sounds. She smiled to herself as the bell rang and she got up getting the ancient manuscript of music in her folder and walking to class.

Lexi was passing the music room when the bell rang. She heard the most beautiful playing, and she closed her eyes, breathing deeply. It reminded her of where she was from, and in that instant, she wanted to just unfurl her wings and fly. But of course, that was strictly forbidden around humans. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Lexi smiled at the girl that emerged from the classroom. "Were you playing that?"

Mae jumped a little surprised, usually no one was around here in the morning. But, she smiled and nodded a little shyly "Yeah...I've been teaching myself, I like music brings the soul and the body together as one...in the present moment." She tried to explain, but she doubted the girl would understand mortals weren't quite as developed.

Lexi's eyes widened a little at her statement. The girl knew of that? Not many did. "I totally understand." She said softly, watching her carefully. Either she was an incredibly genius human, which was unlikely, or she was a demon in disguise, which was dangerous, or she actually was an angel. "Sometimes the music just makes your soul want to take flight." She added, which was true, she experienced this often. part of the joy of having wings, was you could actually take flight in one of those moments.

Mae blinked at the last statement, obviously her comrade that she was speaking to was not mortal. But could she take the risk and ask her? If she was a demon, which might be likely because they patrolled the school grounds. But if she was an angel she wouldn't feel so alone, she'd have a supportive empathetic friend "wings are only a burden when you are trapped..." She said cautiously slightly wincing waiting for the response.

Lexi chewed her lip. Human was knocked off the list, but a well informed demon could still be on the menu. However, that was also unlikely. So she decided to take a chance. "Mhm. Sometimes you just have to spread them and fly." pulling the girl gently into a side hallway, she let her wings unfurl slowly, shimmering in the dim light. Oh it felt so good to let them go. Hiding them was a burden, like the girl had said. Lexi smiled at her hesitantly, stretching her wings a little. "Please tell me you're not a demon?"

Mae let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and gave a soft smile and let her own wings out, the muscles in her back relaxing for once. She glanced around to make sure no one was around. "I thought I was the only one here..." She whispered and gave a quick hug "it's not safe here...the demons are controlling every corner..." She said with a warning and swallowed.

Lexi nodded. "I did too." She said softly, hugging the girl back. It was so good to know she was not alone. Hiding was tedious, tiresome, and plain old stressful. She had no idea why they were hiding anyways. She wanted to fight back, but she had to agree that the demons had grown stronger, bolder. "I know." She said softly, reluctantly hiding her wings again. "We should probably head to class, and not be seen together either. I'll go ahead, and you wait at least two minutes before leaving as well, ok?" Lexi didn't wait for her to answer before she added. "See you at lunch I guess." She smiled, shouldered her bag, and walked out.
Torch was waiting. He immediately punched the ginger in the jaw, sending her sprawling backwards. Lexi squeaked in surprise, but her surprise didn't last long. "Run!" She shouted to the other girl. She got up then, facing the demon. He was older than her, and definitely stronger, but Lexi was relying on her speed against him. She lashed out and kicked him in the stomach.
Toch clutched his stomach, winded for a moment, and sent a mental message to Damon. Angel! May be more than one. The aura's strong. Get over here now! Then his features set in a grim line and he advanced towards Lexi, pouncing on her and knocking her to the floor, pinning her down. "Not so tough now, are you?" He asked, grinning harshly at her.

Damon rushed to where he felt the sensation before and pinned the ginger to the wall as she tried to escape. He roughly yanked her arms behind her back and let his hands heat up wanting to burn her, wanting to smell that sickening sweet smell they produced get masked by the burning flesh.

The second Lexi was free, she jumped up and tried to run, but she was immediately pinned to a wall. She looked at her captor in shock and fear. He looked hard, unforgiving, and that scared her. She wriggled against his grasp, trying to get free, and that was when she felt her wrists burning. She stiffened and cried out, tears of pain squeezing from her eyes.

Damon let his hands cool down leaving the imprint around her wrists. He felt satisfied at the fear and tears streaming down her pale cheeks. He grabbed a handful of her hair and sneered at her "what am I going to do with you?..."

Lexi turned her face away and closed her eyes when he touched her. She was trembling like a leaf in the wind now, scared for her life. She had been captured. Captured by a demon. That was practically a death sentence. She bit her lip and tried to still her trembling. What is he going to do with me!? "Please let me go." She whispered, not looking at him. Her burned wrists seared painfully beneath his hands, even though they were cooler now. "You're hurting me."

Damon growled and snapped back but they were gone and the bell had rang so all of the humans were in plain sight and they couldn't do much anyways. He glanced at Torch "you asked for healthy angels..." He grumbled completely pissed off.

Torch nodded, rolling his shoulders. "Yeah, I asked for them, and I am up for the challenge. The weakness of this form is frustrating though. I just wish there were less humans so I could get rid of it." Just like hiding wings was tedious, hiding his true form was a burden as well. He longed to let the inner beast go, so he could easily overtake the angels, but he knew he couldn't... not here. Not now.

Damon laughed and shook his head "she kicked your butt...I'd be embarrassed if I were you, she was tiny and delicate." He wiped the blood off of his face and smirked "We'll get them, They are scared."

Torch laughed softly and shrugged. "She may have gotten away, but that doesn't mean I didn't let her. What were we supposed to do with two captured angels now, anyways? Too many humans around here to lug them out." He gestured to the hallways. "We have to wait until after school."

Damon nodded and cracked his knuckles "I want to see the ginger cry out in fear again! She's pretty and I enjoy that." He admitted and chuckled "Your angel has a bit of an edge...you could turn her to our side."

Torch smiled, shifting his weight to his other foot. "Don't worry, you'll have time for a lot of that. The death never has to come fast." He said, grinning. "Yes. That worm does have teeth, doesn't she? I could try. If she is reluctant, killing is just as much fun." He smiled softly.
((skip to the end of the day?))

Lexi had fallen asleep in the tree, leaning on Mae a little, as they waited for school to get out. They knew they were safe there for now, so they didn't leave.
Torch crept up slowly through the shadows, his eyes glowing orange softly in the darkness, his knife shining silver. He crawled up the trunk silently, his knife in his teeth. Walking along the branch slowly, and almost effortlessly, he did two things at once. one: He wrapped his arm around the brunette's throat and squeezed the dagger against it. Two: He shoved the unsuspecting ginger out of the tree and down to the ground where he knew Damon was waiting.

Damon caught her easily and laughed tying her up and cradling her mockingly "oh look an angel fell from the sky...how poetic." His grin ferrile and steel he waited for Torch to catch his.

Lwxi struggled furiously against her bonds, yanking and tugging at them. But when she realized she was going no where, she stilled. She just sat there, staring up at her captor in wide eyed terror, trembling. She frowned a little at his words though. "Oh don't be so stuck up."
((have to go. Bye! Will post in the morning :) so in 8 hours or so))
