McKensie and Lara

Damon blinked not wanting to think about what would happen if he didn't have control "it comes to the fact that I have no choice, and that was a big enough incentive to never let it control me...Torch helped a lot, thankfully he heals."

Lexi bit her lip. "That bad, huh?" She asked him sympathetically. This guy had a rough life. And though she knew it was dangerous, him talking about his demon form just made her all the more interested in it.

Damon sighed "That guy that attacked you...if the luckiest man to be alive, though I'm pretty sure I damaged him mentally..." He ran his hand through his dark hair and sighed "can we talk about something else?"

Now Lexi was dying of curiosity. "You know, if you did shift... I'm pretty sure you could not scare me. It would take a whole lot to scare someone like me." She said honestly, sighing. "Don't feel badly about yourself Damon." She said gently. "You can't be that horrible, when you are such a nice person."

Damon flinched he hated thinking about it, she wouldn't be able to handle it. He would hurt her and he knew it...the Elders banned him from shifting unless in defense but that rule was still shaky "I'm not Damon anymore when I shift...I have no control and I...please Lex let's talk about something else!" He practically begged.

Lexi bit her lip, her stomach actually twisting in pain for him. How could it be that bad? She didn't know, but he was obviously in pain because of them talking about it, and that made her feel guilty. "I'm sorry." She whispered, looking down. She fidgeted a little. "I'm really sorry." She said again, getting up slowly and walking back upstairs. She felt absolutely horrible for prying like that, so horrible that she wanted to cry, but she knew that was probably not appropriate, and would just make her seem weak, so she curled up on the bed and hid her face. It seemed that no matter how hard she tried to be nice to everyone, she always ended up hurting someone.

Damon felt pain in his chest when she looked upset and went upstairs. He clenched his hair and groaned he didn't want her sad because of him! He headed up with a cup of cocoa because that's what he liked when he was upset. He knocked on her door and sat down on her bed and rubbed her back "Lex...it's ok, please don't be upset..." He whispered playing with a lock of her hair.

Lexi heard him coming upstairs, but she didn't bother moving from where she was. She stayed curled up in a tiny pitiful ball on the bed, trying to gain composure again. "I'm sorry." she whispered softly, not looking up. "I-I didn't mean to... and I hurt you... and... and I'm sorry."

Damon frowned and curled up by her making her look at him "hey,,,you didn't hurt me alright? I shouldn't have snapped...you are just curious and I get that.." He moved her hair back "please don't be sad...you do not want to see me cry and blush on the same day. That would definitely earn me jeers from my peers." He was trying to make her smile again.

Torch watched her, purring happily. He pawed the ground and then caught the steak easily when she tossed it, swallowing it whole. Then he rumbled happily and curled up on the ground, closing his eyes sleepily as he waited for the meat to digest.
Lexi looked at him hesitantly as he spoke, actually managing a small smile at his last comment. She nodded slowly. "I just. I just don't want to hurt anyone. I don't want to hurt you and..." she sighed softly. "I'm sorry." She hugged him. "I didn't know it was a touchy subject."

Damon held her close stroking her hair "you could never hurt me Lex...you couldn't hurt a fly. You are too sweet and caring..." He pecked her hair gently "one day I'll show you, but when I know you will be strong enough to handle it alright?..."
((Bye!))

Lexi nodded, hiding her face against him. She enjoyed being in his arms. It calmed her somehow, to be in someone's arms who would not hurt her. "Fair enough." She said softly, smiling a little at him.

Damon kissed her nose "you up for going to see my friend Torch? I won't let him hurt you." He promised and sat up on the bed "just have to get that food to him before I get a million texts on how starving he is..."

Lexi nodded and smiled. "Sure." She agreed, sitting a little straighter. She thought it was so cute how those two were such good friends. It made her wish that she had a friend like that.

Damon took her hand and helped her up as he grabbed the food containers from downstairs and headed out the door. He spread out his wings and picked her up heading a couple of miles away to Torch's elaborate house.

Lexi followed behind him the whole way wondering briefly to herself if Torch had killed her new friend Mae. That thought horrified her, and she swallowed hard and pushed it away. Clinging to Damon as he took off, she grinned and lit up as they started to fly.

Damon swooped down and carefully lowered her as he knocked on the door. He rolled his eyes glancing at the house "my friend is not a humble demon..." He muttered but smirked "he has a pool though, it's easy to blackmail him into using it."

Lexi scanned the house, her eyes wide. "Yeah, no kidding..." She breathed, shaking her head. This house was insane. But using a pool sounded really nice. Then she gulped and shrank back a bit behind Damon, eyeing Torch warily.

Mae followed behind him and blinked recognizing both of them and rushing to the angel "oh my gosh Lexi! I thought..." Well, she didn't say what she thought since both demons were present but she got the gist of it. She looked back at Torcb "invite them in" she urged trying to get him to calm down.

Lexi's eyes widened when she saw Mae. She understood, as she had thought the same about her. "I'm so glad you're ok." she said, hugging the girl. "You are ok, right?" She asked hopefully.
Torch nodded in response to Mae. "Yeah. Come on in guys. Come on in." He offered, gesturing inside his house.

Mae nodded and hugged her back "I'm fine...not an angel but, I think it's better this way...what about you?" She glanced at Damon warily not being able to trust him, he wasn't like Alex.

Lexi followed him and Mae inside warily. "Yeah. I'm ok. I turned too." She admitted. She smiled a little then. "It's been very nice to be honest. I guess you're in the same situation as me?"
((have to go for a couple minutes, then I'll be back.

Damon and Torch headed outside so they could talk privately "she chose it, I...I was going to let her go Torch, I couldn't hurt her...it was like she had already been killed inside...but when she found out I was going to be killed...she told me to turn her...it's weird, she's making me lose my mind and yet I like it." He never talked like this and he was worried Torch was going to lay him out for it.

Torch listened to Damon, not interrupting him all the while. Then he raised an eyebrow. "She was already killed inside?" He asked softly, not entirely understanding. But the angel had turned to save Damon? What kind of move was that? Angels never saved demons. "She's making you lose your mind, and you like it?" He repeated, shaking his head. He smiled a little then. "If she's not good for you Damon, you've got to leave her. But from what I hear, I think you've got something going for her." he said, smiling.

Damon sighed "She was taken advantage of...Torch you have no idea what torture it was like just watching her...not even phased by pain. She makes me blush, and kiss her! I'm suddenly this sensitive sap and she thinks that's how I always am! But I just...I can't help it, you know?..."

Torch frowned then. Taken advantage of? Well that was unforgivable. His suspicions about the little redhead lessened a little. Torch laughed then. "Actually, yeah. I do know. It's the same with Mae." He admitted, shrugging. "You know Damon, I think you may be in love."

Damon blinked and nearly coughed up his water "impossible! I am the most feared demon in the underground! How could I fall in love?!" It was appalling to think about. It certaintly would dim his reputation...but it was worth it if it made Lex happy...Dang it!

Torch chuckled softly. "Denial's the clincher." He teased, grinning. "You're in looooove." He cooed. Then he patted his friend on the back. "You know it's not that big of a deal. It does happen to even the most feared people you know." He assured.

Dame groaned and slugged Torch in the arm "shut it or this fist is going down your throat...ugh what am I supposed to do? You know what happens when I shift...I could really hurt her if I become that attached and commited!"

Torch rubbed his arm, still chuckling. Then he grew serious at his question. "Yeah. I know. And it's rather unfortunate." He admitted, sighing. "How do you know you will hurt her? You yourself said she brought out a gentler you, what if that is transferred to the demon as well?" he offered, trying to encourage his friend.

Damon sighed "I melted the mind of this guy at her foster home that was harassing her...I would have killed him easily if it wasn't so public. I haven't changed I may be getting worse..." He whispered and ran a hand through his hair "Tell me about this Mae?..."

Torch bit his lip. Getting worse? That would not be good at all. Not at all. "But you didn't hurt her when you were in that form, right?" Torch asked, hopeful. Then he smiled sheepishly. "She's nice." He said, shrugging. "Like with you and your girl, she brings out the best in me, which is strange, like you said, but nice. And she is funny, and lighthearted some of the time." He chuckled. "I'm working on that, but she's fun to be around, and I find myself wanting to be around her more and more often." He admitted.

Damien smirked listening to him "Boy, she has you wrapped around her little finger! You think I'm the one in love? Take a look in the mirror Torch, you've never talked about anyone like that...especially girls!"

Torch shook his head. "She's a friend Damon, a very nice friend. That's all. I'm not a confused evil demon like you. I don't settle. For anything. I, and I know this for sure, am not in love." He insisted, shaking his head in denial.

Damien smirked "Denial is the clincher." He repeated and shook his head stretching tired of sitting. "Don't forget at the end of the month we need to take them to the Elders to prove themselves...or become eternal slaves. No pressure."

Torch glared, and then grinned. "Maybe." He admitted, shrugging. Then he nodded, sighing and running his hands through his hair. "Yeah. How could I forget? How on earth do we pull this off?" He asked, stressed.
((got to go. Love this rp by the way. See you at the end of the day. Or I guess the morning in your time :P))

Mae smiled a little "I'm healed from it" she assured and sighed "I just have a hard time being carefree, Torch calls me a stick in the mud but it's hard to be that open and let go...but he deserves not having a boring and dull roommate, plus I do have fun with him."
Damien sighed "we just have to train them, perfect them. Lex turns invisible...and goes through matter, at least yours stays solid!" He teased and stood up "come on, the girls are going to chat all day. It's hot and I want to swim."

Lexi nodded and sighed. "Well I can relate to that." She said honestly. "I just hope it all works out. I mean, becoming a demon, and finding a crush in like two days is kinda a huge deal." She said, shrugging.
Torch laughed then. "Seriously? Well that one will be hard to work with. Good luck mate." He said, standing as well. "I honestly have no idea what my little angel can do yet." He said honestly. "Took a while for her form to show up, so it will probably be the same with the powers." Then he grinned and nodded. "Great. I'll go get changed. Do the girls have something to swim in, you think?"

Damon chuckled and went to Lexi and kissed her cheek, she looked happier maybe this Mae wasn't such bad news after all. "We want to go swimming!"
Mae grinned at Lexi "I have an extra suit you can wear!"

Torch grinned. "It's settled then. Feel free to use the washrooms to change. I'll be in my room. Meet you all in the pool!" He said, racing upstairs to get changed.

Damon took the downstairs washroom to change since that's where he kept his clothes when he stayed over with Torch. Now those days were over they both had someone to take care of.

Torch finished up changed just as quickly as he could, slipping into his swim shorts and dumping his shirt on the bed before racing down the stairs, outside, and cannon balling into the pool. It was a comfortable temperature, not too hot, not too cold. He broke the surface, laughing and shaking his head to rid his hair of water.

Mae laughed and splashed him "you almost landed on me you jerk!" She teased and jumped on his back pushing him under the water. She loved to play in the pool it was when she really could be her hyper wacky self!

Torch grinned. "But I didn't." He teased. Then all of a sudden, he was under the water and he smiled softly to himself. So was this really what she was like? Deep down? He struggled and swam away from her, surfacing a little ways further. "And you almost drowned me!"

Mae laughed and pouted "almost is the key word! And I would have gotten away with it if there weren't any witnesses!" She teased and splashed him swimming over to the edge and grinning at the others "Torch is lucky you showed up!"

Torch laughed a little then. "Yeah yeah sure. I think I could have handled myself thank you very much." He retorted. He eyed Lexi for a moment, before grinning at Damon. "Come on in!" He urged.

Mae grinned "I'm game!" She swam to the other side of the pool "let's have a underwater race, swim back and forth and whoever comes up first to take a breath loses!"

Torch shrugged. "Sounds good to me." He said, smiling at both of them. When they were touching the wall, he nodded and counted down from three outloud, before taking a huge breath and starting off on the race.

Mae smirked mischievously and quickly and silently got out of the pool as the race started, she grinned at Lexi and motioned her over as she crept to the freezer and grabbed the huge container of ice.
Lexi sighed and smiled, nodding slowly. "Yeah. I guess. Still annoying though. Angel powers are much easier to control." She said seriously, shaking her head. "I don't know how you manage to keep all yours calm like that." she said honestly.
