McKensie and Lara

Damon glanced at her and chuckled how white her face was and the wide surprised look in her eyes. "They can't see you when you fly this high, plus I need the adrenaline..." He swooshed down like a bullet and then evened out looking for the correct address.

Lexi squealed despite herself when he dived, and she shook her head. "Well I don't need it."
((g2g))

Damon grinned "I think you do, adrenaline makes people happy it's about the hormones and chemicals! And you need some excitement and happiness in your life!" He swooped down at her place and gently let go but made sure she could stand first.
((Bye :) ))

Torch gave her a small bow. "Why thank you." Then he grinned. "I don't know. Why don't you fly down here?" he joked. "Just focus on yourself. Your human self, that is. Focus on it real hard and your body will do the shift." he explained. "Oh, yeah. And try to relax while you're focusing." He added, realizing that that might be an important detail.
Lexi swayed a little. "Sure. Makes you happy." She repeated. "I just feel dizzy." She smiled a little then. "Hey, maybe I'll get used to it eventually." She looked up at the house, her latest foster home, and sighed. "You better stay here, I'll be right back." She said, before entering the house softly, hoping she would not be spotted.

"Oh right, like that's possible" she said sarcastically and sighed closing her eyes and letting her large wings just relax as she focused on her. Or the last time she looked into the mirror...hmm this did not help self confidence issues! But she felt herself cool down and change...but too late she realized she was still on the ceiling and started to fall "Alex!"
Damon watched her cautiously approach the house, if it was her house why was she being so sneaky? But, he recalled her saying something about foster homes...this was probably her most recent. For some reason that made him nervous for her, he watched ready to step in if there was trouble.

Lexi crept down the hallway and up the stairs, heading towards her room. Every couple of minutes she would pause to listen for any suspicious noise. But there was just silence. So far so good. She was just turning into her room when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She jumped in surprise and spun to find Derek, her foster brother, grinning down at her.
He was handsome enough, and had at least a dozen girlfriends, but Lexi, no matter how many times he tried, was just not into him. Not into anyone really, after that one night.
Derek smiled down at her. "Now, where have you been sugar?" He asked.
Lexi tried to back up, but he had a firm grip on her arm. "Derek. I-I told you not to call me that!"
He shook his head. "What else could I call someone as sweet as you?" He was trying to be charming, but it came out more threatening to Lexi.
"Derek, please, please let me go." She begged.
Derek advanced slowly, pinning her against a wall. "Why? I'm not done yet. I've been waiting so long to do this." He whispered in her ear.
Lexi shuddered and convulsed, tears running down her cheeks.
And that was when Derek kissed her, hard.
Lexi squirmed and writhed, jerking hard enough to break away and scream before Derek silenced her with his lips again.

Damon sensed her anguish and fear and slipped into the house like smoke, he formed into his ghoulish demon the type that nightmares were truly made of, smoke and shadows gathered around him showing his power. He wretched Derek away from Lexi and grinned menacingly at him "sweet dreams" and he knocked him out letting him crumble on the hallway floor before he quickly put him on a bed, he would think it was just a nightmare.

Lexi barely knew what was happening when Derek was suddenly wrenched off of her. She was barely sane she was so petrified. She slid down the wall to the floor, collapsing in a small trembling heap, sobbing.

Damon went back into his human form and held her close cradling her as he grabbed all of her things and walked silently out of the house. He was grateful she didn't know what had happened he'd rather have it that she never knew that side of him.

Lexi was still trembling violently, but somehow she registered that it was Damon holding her, and not Derek. Her hand curled around a handful of his t-shirt, gripping him like she was afraid of letting go.

Damon looked down at her hand gripped tightly, he stroke it carefully "shhh it's ok, I'm here...I'm not going to let anything touch you..." He whispered and walked, she was far too shaken for him to fly. He sighed feeling like he should have gone in with her...and then he felt guilty that he did the same thing...and more...

Lexi nodded slowly, her eyes still closed tightly. His words comforted her, and slowly, very slowly, she stopped trembling. Her face was still as white as a sheet though. She buried her face against his chest, trying to hide from the world.

Damon gently pecked her forehead and kept walking slowly so that he wouldn't jostle her about. They didn't need to talk or anything, this was a personal moment and every move was delicate he didn't want to lose her trust.

Lexi stayed like that for the rest of the walk, just regaining her wits. She had calmed down majorly by the time they reached his house again, and the pink had started to return to her cheeks. She pulled her face away and looked up at him, smiling weakly. "Thank you." She said softly, hoping he understood.

Damon nodded and smiled moving a piece of hair from her face "that's what I'm here for..." He led her inside the house and locked it showing her that they were safe. He put her down and yawned stretching "ready to get to bed?"

Lexi visibly relaxed once they were inside the house with the door locked. It was like she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Yeah." She nodded. She was afraid of going to sleep, but she wasn't going to bother him about that, or keep him up. She decided to just try and weather the night, and hope morning came quickly. She tried to act brave regarding the night ahead, but she couldn't help but look a little nervous.
((just realized that today is the last day I have internet for a week.... agk! I am so gonna miss this rp. Sorry :( ))

Mae moved just a little bit closer and snuggled into the pillow and smiled at him, she could imagine how warm his arms would be around her and how stern his chest would be. She pushed those thoughts where her emotions were and locked them up "goodnight..." She whispered and flipped off the light. She saw his eyes glow in the dark and smiled amazed "glad you'll have those peepers closed or they will keep me up." She teased still whispering.
Damon frowned and moved her hair back "hey...Lex? You can sleep with me if you want?" He could tell how scared she was and she wasn't going to tell him that. He looked at her concerned "And if that makes you uncomfortable I can pull the couch in your room and sleep there."

Torch watched her carefully as she moved closer. It looked almost like she was debating something, but then the moment passed. He smiled back, and whispered. "G'night." to her, when she whispered to him. He grinned when she commented on his eyes and he blinked slowly, before opening them again. "They glow so I can see in the dark." He explained. "Very helpful, but annoying when I don't want to be seen." He said, shrugging. He shifted a bit to get comfortable. "Don't worry, I do sleep with my eyes closed." he grinned, and slowly closed them.
Lexi was somewhat relieved, and somewhat nervous about his offer. However, she wanted to sleep tonight, and knew she wouldn't be able to do so on her own. "That would be nice." She said softly. Then she shook her head slowly. "Uh, no. No, you don't have to do that." She said in response to his couch offer. "I think I'll be fine." she meant that she would be fine sleeping with him in the bed as well.

Damon nodded and led her to his room "you can change in here, and I'll change in the bathroom alright?" He asked and showed her where he will be incase she needed him. He put on his plaid pj pants and sighed, he couldn't sleep with a shirt on, it got too hot...but that might make her uncomfortable so he held one in his hand just in case and waited for her to be done.

Lexi nodded, quickly slipping into her own tank top and jogging shorts that she slept in. She then just stood there in the room, looking around as she waited for him to finish. He was done not long after, and she smiled a little. Her eyes immediately shot to his bare torso, and she looked away, blushing a little. She was nervous, yes, but another emotion had joined the nervousness, another emotion that confused her. She walked over to his bed. "Shall we, um, go to sleep?" She asked, trying to take the attention away from her actions and embarrassment.

Damon nodded and climbed into bed pulling the covers back so that she could get him, he didn't move letting her choose what was comfortable before he startled her. He ran his hand through his hair and the back of his neck stifling a yawn and smiling at her "you ok?"

Lexi followed soon after, crawling under the covers. She scooted close to him, but not too close that it would make it awkward for him. Still close enough that she could feel the warmth coming from him. She smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah. Thanks." She said, shifting to get comfortable before closing her eyes. "Night." She whispered.
((last post. Bye!))

Mae woke up with the soft sounds of the morning, the birds chirping and the sun shining in through the curtains. She sighed never waking up this peaceful before. She glanced at Alex, still asleep...she traced the stubble of his day old beard and nested back on his chest. She had never slept with a man in her bed, and she found it to be the best sleep that she had ever had!
Damon woke up to Lexi practically on top of him, she was small so it worked just fine. He chuckled a little and slowly moved her back to where she fell asleep at. He yawned and carefully got up out of bed to make his new companion some breakfast.

Lexi stayed asleep for a few minutes longer, and when she did wake, she was confused to find that she was in a strange room, in a very nice, strange, bed. Then she remembered everything and she blushed softly. She had slept in the same bed as someone! That surprised her greatly. Speaking of. Where is that demon? She wondered, slipping out of bed slowly. She ran a hand through her hair before walking out and downstairs to try and find him.
((I fit one more in! Yay! Wasn't sure I was going to be on this morning or not :P))

Damon looked up when he heard her come down the stairs and smiled softly "I was going to bring you some breakfast, let you get some more sleep,.." He motioned to the tray he was finishing up.

Lexi smiled and warmed right to her core. A gentleman. An absolute gentleman. She thought. "You are just about the nicest person I have ever met." She said, grinning. "I'm up now, sadly. So we can eat at the table, I guess?"

Damon flushed "Lex! Don't make me blush, it isn't normal for a demon." But he smiled and set up the table, pouring juice and milk since he didn't know which one she would want. There was pancakes and eggs and bacon, practically everything because he didn't know what she liked!

Lexi smiled softly, thinking to herself that she liked it when he blushed, it made him look vulnerable and absolutely adorable, like someone she could relate to. She walked over and sat at the table, staring at all the food. "This was all for me? You must think I am a bottomless pit or something!" She said, grinning. "I am definitely going to need your help to finish this." Then she smiled gently. "Thank you."

Damon grinned a little and filled up his plate "you don't have to ask me twice! Whatever you don't eat I will, or I'll give it to Torch he likes my leftovers saves him from cooking." He chuckled and shook his head "we aren't so bad you know, demons. Just like any other guys are age, still like the same things...with added bonuses!"

Lexi grinned. "You two are quite the pair." She said, pulling a couple pancakes and sausages onto her own plate, before applying a generous amount of syrup to her whole plate. She grinned sheepishly, hoping he didn't mind. She liked sugar. Then she nodded and smiled. "I'm beginning to discover this." she agreed. "Bonuses?" She asked. "Name a few said bonuses." She raised her eyebrow.

Damon watched the syrup create a river on her plate and just let it go. What she liked he would be fine with "let's see...I can fly" he counted them off on his fingers "I can be totally bad ass at all times...not many guys mess with me...I get to turn a cute angel..." He raised a brow at her and smiled munching on the bacon.

Lexi listened as he talked taking a small bite of her sausage. At his last comment, she actually flushed bright red. She knew she was blushing, so she bit her lip and looked at her plate, grinning to herself. "Thank you." she said softly. "You're not half bad yourself." She added, smiling shyly at him.

Damon tilted her head up and softly pecked her lips before pulling away, he knew how that affected her but he couldn't help himself "I'm only a sensitive guy with you around...you bring out the nice side I never knew I had" he admitted and took a bit of his pancakes his face now red.

Torch was surprised, to say the least, when she tackled him to the ground. He pouted for a couple seconds, "Hey! They're mine!" He protested, but then he grinned, shaking his head a little. "So the tiger's got claws." he pushed her off him, standing up slowly. "You're not half bad, you know. Wouldn't expect that much force to come out of a girl." He teased, grinning.
Lexi's eyes widened in shock and surprise when he kissed her briefly. But somehow, that strange feeling overpowered her fear again, and she found herself actually liking the sparks that ignited inside her. She blushed even more, smiling shyly as he talked. "You are so cute when you blush." She said softly, only half realizing she had said that out loud.

Mae laughed a little and let him pull her up, "not half bad? That's what I get huh?" She teased and went back to the waffle mix and adding the dry ingredients and the chocolate chips "As you recall, I got some pretty good hits in...bugger is that you heal." She smiled back at him.
Damon's face turned even more red, he felt the air simmering around him from his eternal heat. He quickly finished off the glass of milk to calm it down but smiled at Lexi "Don't ever let Torch know about this alright?..."

Torch laughed softly and shook his head, helping her where he could. "Good thing too." He shrugged. "It's saved my life a couple times." He said honestly, leaning on the counter and watching her work.
Lexi smiled softly when he blushed harder, and she found herself blushing with him. She nodded slowly, "my lips are sealed." She promised. But what did he mean by 'this'? She wondered. Just the kiss? Or was it something more?

Mae smiled and watched him "so is that your special demon power or do I get it as well?" She licked the batter and splat it on his nose before putting it into the warmed up waffle pan. She sighed and wiped down the counters and started on the dishes "did you sleep well? Or am I an irritating bed partner?"
Damon nodded grateful and smiled "how are you feeling? Anything new happening?" This is when she got her abilities and unique characteristics that made her special. He cleaned up the plates and made a container for Torch.

Torch grinned, wiping the batter off his face and licking it carefully off his fingers. "It's mine. But that doesn't mean you won't get it as well. It's not like we each have one power that no one else has. There are lots of overlaps." He said honestly. Then he smiled, "I slept very well thank you." He grinned. "You are a very comfy bed partner." He teased.
Lexi thought for a moment. She had been focusing on everything new and exciting, she hadn't stopped long enough to know how she was feeling. She paused for a moment, thinking. She bit her lip. "To be honest, I do feel a little lightheaded." She said, frowning. She leaned on the table then, and her hand passed right through the wood.

Damon blinked and chuckled "that would count, just slowly bring your hand out before it becomes solid and you are stuck." He helped her and clasped it making it solid "good news, you can walk through walls."

Lexi stared at her hand in shock. "That's... that's good news!? How do I control it?" She asked. She didn't want to fall through the chair she was sitting on randomly, or pass right through a wall she was leaning on. That would get extremely annoying.

Damon glanced at her hand "you just...I don't know to be honest, maybe you could let me know when you are getting light headed and I'll keep you solid for now?...obviously you will control it by yourself just takes practice, like shifting."

Lexi thought about that for a moment. It was kind of scary to be honest. Just waiting around for it to happen again. "Ok." She agreed, sighing softly. Learning how to control it might prove to be a challenge. But then she felt a strange tingling in her hands. She stared at them for a second, in complete shock, for she had become completely invisible. "Another one!?" She groaned. This powers were getting to be annoying.

Damon blinked back and chuckled a little nervously "I'm not sure how I'm going to help you with that one Lex..." He could still feel his hand in hers and it felt solid but he couldn't see anything!

Lexi groaned again. "Seriously!?" She shook her invisible head and sighed. "Being a demon is harder than it looks!" She exclaimed, huffing.

Damon chuckled "You look cute when your angry" he teased and shrugged "I tried to warn you but you wanted to be all noble and not let me die, which was sweet...now calm down and focus! Just like when you shift."

Lexi glared at him when he teased her, but she sighed, nodding. "Ok." She agreed, deciding to try it. She forced herself to calm, and focus, trying to get control. When her emotions had calmed, she thought about her want... no need, to be normal again. She didn't feel any change, but as she thought hard, she slowly became visible and tangible again.

Damon watched her slowly appear again and grinned giving her a hug when she was completely back "see? That wasn't so hard right?" He messed with her hair and continued cleaning up now that his heart wasn't racing.
Lexi nodded and clung to his arms as she suddenly felt herself propelled towards the skies. Her eyes widened in surprise and excitement. She had never flown this fast as an angel, and she had to say, it was very exhilarating. His use of a pet name briefly confused her, but she didn't think too much of it. She looked down and her eyes widened again. "Holy crap you fly high!" To be honest, she only skimmed the rooftops when she flew. Yup. She was an angel that had a fear of heights.
