McKensie and Lara

Damon shook his head and took her hands softly "I said no. You don't have to do this...I'll be fine, I don't want to put you in the dark...you are far more amazing as an angel..."

Lexi looked up, her face scrunching in pain. "Thank you." She whispered. "But I can't just let you do that for me, and then get killed. I cant. I would never be able to live with myself. Like you said, not all demons are evil, right?" She asked hopefully. She knew she had to change... for him. And she would do it, but she was afraid.

Damon sighed "Maybe I won't get killed? You'd have changed your entire life and morals for me...for no reason. I couldn't be content knowing that! This isn't about me...you have to want to do this, for you."

Torch nodded, sensing she wasn't too happy about this. "Yeah. It is." He agreed, smiling a little. "Oh, that's another thing. It will be a whole lot easier to stay alive if we live together for the next couple months. See, there's this 'you get weaker when you're apart' thing. So we could stay at our own houses, but we may not live through the night." He shrugged, as if it was nothing.
Lexi shook her head. "I can't take that chance." She smiled a little. "It wouldn't be for nothing. It would be to clear your name and very possibly save your life. Besides. I owe you. This is for me. For my peace of mind." She said, sighing. "I have to. Don't make me change my mind now." Lexi bit her lip, counted to three and closed her eyes, starting to Fall then and there before he could argue her out of it.

Mae took a deep breath "Alright I'm sure that would be fine. We've become such good friends down here" she said sarcastically but then smiled "before I move in with a man I'm pretty sure I should know his name?"
Damon sighed but she was far more stubborn then he had to ever deal with. He nodded "I'll be here to help you through this...we have to stay close it's kind of like a bond between you and me..." He helped her inside and got a garbage can for when she started to barf.

Lexi's eyes widened in surprise, and partially shock at his words, but she didn't have time to protest, as a couple seconds later she had to bend over the garbage can he had brought to keep from getting blood all over his floor. "Please tell me this is normal." She gasped.
((Thanks :) ))

Damon nodded pulling her hair back so it wouldn't get bloody "unfortunately yes, this is the start of the process..." He emptied the trash can out and then got it back to her quickly. "You're going to feel a lot if weird sensations, all of them are normal. And if you feel like attacking or releasing pent up anger take it out on me. I'm not that sensitive."

Lexi shuddered, trembling a little as she continued to throw up. "Anger?" She coughed, surprised. Was that really something that came with being a demon? Was that a trait they naturally possessed? She was going to ask him, but then searing fire ran up and down her back, and she cried out as her wings shuddered and wilted, falling off her back and turning to dust. Then something kindled inside her. Something warm, and dark. And it was growing hotter, stirring her inside.

Damon rubbed her back comfortingly "the worse is almost over..." He assured and sighed "I'm sorry..." He repeated over and over. He went to get her a glass of water "I'm Damon by the way."

Lexi leaned against the garbage can weakly, coughing and gasping as she finally stopped throwing up. She eagerly took the glass of water he offered her, almost inhaling its contents immediately. "Lexi." She managed, smiling weakly. "Nice to um... meet you? I guess?" She wasn't sure if that was what you would call exchanging names. "You said something about a demon form?" She asked suddenly. "Will I have one?"

Damon nodded "that's what you are developing right now...I'm sure that you will be equisite...and powerful..." He sighed and got another glass for her. "I'm sorry for the suffering..."

Lexi frowned. She was developing? What on earth did that mean? She drank the other glass he gave her quickly as well. The fire in her was growing to be so hot it was almost unbearable. "No. It's not your fault." She managed to stammer, before she collapsed to the ground, shaking. She felt like the fire would consume her completely and burn her away. She moaned then, tears squeezing from her eyes as her body started to change.
((Have to go soon. May only get one or two more posts in))

Damon stroke her back hating to see her in pain, it tore him apart "it's almost over..." He comforted and sighed "almost over...I'm sorry...I did this to you"

Lexi was trembling violently, but somehow she managed to shake her head and stammer, "Not... your... fault." Then she screamed and her body shifted then, changing until she was something completely different then she was before. At first, she just looked like a pile of black and red fur, along with two leathery wings, but when she lifted her head and stumbled to her feet, or paws rather, it was evident what she was. She was a rather large black and red cat with wings. Lexi looked down at herself and groaned. "It had to be a cat." She said, her voice sounding like a kitten mew.
((G2G Bye!))

Damon watched and stroke her head "you ok?...." He smoothed down her fur and wings "you are a better looking demon then I could ever be!"

Lexi purred when he stroked her head and body, smoothing her down. "Yeah. I feel fine now." Then she grinned softly. If she had been human, she would have been blushing. "Thank you." She said, purring louder. "Speaking of which, are you ever going to show me what you look like?" She really wanted to see him how he really was, but she understood if he didn't want to show her.
((last post. lol))

Damon sighed "Lex...not now, I lose too much control I'm not myself...I don't want to hurt you..." He scratched her ears "now you have to learn to turn back."

Lexi raised and eyebrow. "I think I can handle myself." She said, smiling a little. She was even more curious about seeing his other form now. But to be honest, she was a little nervous about this whole... losing control thing. "Yeah." She purred. "Turning back. How on earth do I do that?" She asked, tipping her head and closing her eyes when he scratched her ears.

Damon smiled "first you get yourself relaxed...and focus on what you look like, every small detail. You focus hard until you feel a cooling sensation and then you just let it happen...it takes practice."

Lexi nodded and closed her eyes tightly, trying to force herself to relax. Then she pictured herself in her mind, as well as she could. She tried to picture every little detail, which required a crazy amount of concentration. "Is it working?" She asked hopefully.

"No...don't lose focus by even talking or thinking about me. You can't force it, it just has to come..." He stroke her fur watching her visibly relax naturally, he knew she could do this.

Lexi nodded, and tried to close out everything around her. She let her mind blank and slowly felt herself relaxing. Then she thought of herself. Her human self. She thought of it as hard as she could, thinking of every single detail. Then suddenly, it was as if the fire in her was being contained, and everything grew cooler. Lexi stayed as relaxed as possible as she felt herself start to shift again. When she opened her eyes, she was human again, and she grinned.

Damon grinned approvingly "very good...see? Wasn't too hard. Now that you have your form it's going to be a challenge to keep it in, you have to find what works for you."

Lexi nodded, frowning a little. "Keep it in... like keeping down the fire?" She asked, trying to focus on what she felt. She was trying to understand what her demon form pushing to the surface actually felt like, and how to stop it.

Damon shrugged "kind of? You'll feel it more then the burning it'll feel like it trying to break through the surface..."

Lexi nodded, concentrating hard to try and feel it. She could, after a while, and she smiled. "Ok. Great. Thanks." She said, smiling. "Do you... um..." She found it a little awkward to ask. "Have any food?"

Damon chuckled and nodded leading her into the kitchen "my house is your house, I can...well we can go to the store if there is anything specific you want."

Lexi shook her head, smiling. "Oh no. I'm not that picky. I'll eat almost anything. So anything you have is great." she said, smiling. In the back of her mind, she was wondering what would happen next. Would she be staying with him forever? Or just a while? What would happen?

Damon nodded and showed her where everything was "help yourself, I don't get that hungry so don't worry if there is none left I'll...we'll just buy some more."

Lexi eagerly grabbed an apple and bit into it. "Thank you." she said, finishing the apple surprisingly quickly before moving onto some other food. She ate until she was no longer hungry, but not full either. Then she shut the fridge again and sat down on a nearby chair, rubbing her stomach happily. "So. I guess I should get to know you some... Care to tell me about you?" She asked, smiling gently.

Damon watched and smiled munching on some beef jerky "My name is Damon Sylver, I gave up my soul to save my family....but when I came back to them they wanted nothing to do with me...I don't like to stay at the underground for too long, I love my best mate Torch...i can't read very well but I like to listen to books on tape or whatever...I don't know what you want to know?..."

Lexi listened and her heart wrenched a little when he talked about his family. She felt seriously bad for him now. That sounded like a horrible thing to happen to anyone. "You are one interesting demon." She said softly. "Um. I guess I should tell you about me?" She asked. She chewed her lip for a minute, before starting talking. "My name is Lexi James. I was kidnapped into being an angel, don't even know who it was, but he had to save his skin from falling by converting an angel or something." She shrugged. "I was raped, which you know. Before I was an angel, I grew up in an orphanage, and then foster homes. Never knew my parents, and never had any other family. I stuck to myself. I hate pears, but other than that, I like all types of food. Oh, and I'm seriously ticklish." She blushed. "Don't you dare use that against me." She gave him a pointed glare.

Damon grinned a little and poked her side "you shouldn't have told me that love! I am one mean tickle machine!" He plopped on the bean bag "so what kind of movies do you like? I don't have a lot but we could get some." He was just trying to make her feel comfortable.

Lexi squealed and jumped back when he poked her. "Great. Someone shoot me now. And I trusted you!" She protested, teasing. She sat on a nearby couch and folded her hands. "Well, I'm a sucker for chuck flicks, but I also love adventure and thriller movies as well. Horror's fine, as long as it isn't gory. Don't have the greatest stomach for overly gory stuff." She said, grimacing. "But honestly, I'm great with anything. I haven't watched movies in forever, so don't worry about me seeing anything recently or anything like that." She said, smiling a little. "Oh, and I've been meaning to ask you this. Why do demons have different forms? I thought they were all the same for some reason." She admitted.

Damon laughed at her movie list...pretty much she named every genre, but he'd figure it out. Movies were a good distraction and kept everything calm and at bay. He blinked at her question "different demon types...different jobs that we are in charge of...all angels aren't the same right?"

Lexi nodded slowly shrugging. "Well, small differences, but not like, completely different forms like with demons." She said, shrugging. "I mean, angels all have wings, and human bodies. And power projections that are different colours." She sighed softly. "But yeah, besides that, mostly the same." She pulled at her hair absentmindedly, looking away then.

Damon frowned wanting to change the subject "want to see your room?...it's not done I'm going to make it comfortable." He promised and led her to the guest room.

Lexi nodded enthusiastically, glad he had changed the subject. "Yes!" She said, following him upstairs to the guest room. It was large, but cozy, and very nicely furnished. "What do you mean, comfortable? This is great just like this!" She exclaimed, smiling in excitement. After being used to foster homes, this was really, really, nice.

Damon looked at her confused, he couldn't see what she saw apparently. He saw plain white walls, a boring bed and so much space to fill. "You can pick out paint and bedspreads and stuff...we could do whatever you want with it."

Lexi nodded slowly, it was so much to take in. A whole room? All to herself? Now she knew she was dreaming. Lexi grinned and before she thought at all, she jumped on Damon and hugged him, squealing, "Thank you!" Then she blushed beet red, realizing what she had done. She let go of him and backed up a couple steps, looking down in embarrassment. "I'm... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to..." she stammered.

Damon turned a couple of shades red as well, being surprised was an understatement as he caught her in his arms. He actually really liked it, the heat between them. She looked so sweet all embarrassed he walked over to her and gave a soft hug "hey...it's alright"

Lexi was more than surprised when he hugged her again. Did he actually... like the hug? Well, she never would have guessed that. It made her turn even redder, but she found herself hugging him back slowly, trying to hide how much she was enjoying being in his arms. "O-Ok." She said hesitantly, relaxing again.

Damon smiled a little and pat her back letting her go, he didn't understand how she couldn't stand to be touched and now was hugging him. Did he gain her trust? Even a little bit? He put his hands on her shoulders lightly "this is a safe place, you don't have to be embarrassed about anything...ok?"

Lexi's eyes widened a little in surprise when she thought about the scenario. She had willingly hugged someone. She had... hugged someone! The strange thing was that it had not bothered her. It hadn't felt like a sensual action at all, more friendly, comforting. It actually was something she welcomed, longed even. She looked up into his eyes slowly and nodded, smiling. "Ok." She agreed. "Thank you."

Damon smiled feeling relief when he saw her smiling back. He nodded and glanced into the empty closet "you can put you clothes in here..." He paused they didn't stop to get her things. "Do you want to drop by somewhere and get your things?"

Lexi nodded, shrugging a little. "Yeah. Guess that might be good." She grinned. "My stuff's at 384 Main street." She said. "Is that close enough to go get now?" She asked him, not wanting to make any extra work or trouble for him.

Damon nodded "yeah, I can fly you over there easily enough." He gave a smile "you aren't a burden, stop thinking like that ok?" She was easy to read, like a book. It made things easier for him to be honest.

Lexi raised an eyebrow then. Was she really that easy to read that he could figure out what she was thinking? Well that's embarrassing. She thought. "Um, ok?" She said, not so sure she could think other wise, but she would give it a try.

Damon shrugged and led her back outside "hold on darling." He wrapped his arms around her and two large black leathery wings came out as he shot towards the sky heading to mainstreet.
Torch raised his hands in surrender. "I was just making sure." Then he nodded and smiled. "Yes, yes they are. When used properly." He added. Then he nodded. "So you will shift into your demon form, and then you can learn to shift back, and then you just well... continue on with your life."
Lexi sighed. His silence answered her just fine. "No. You're... you're more than that." She whispered, sighing softly. "You're more than just one demon. You saved me. The least I can do is to save you." She chewed her lip and closed her eyes making up her mind.
