Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((ok, back :) ))

Torch raised his hands in surrender. "I was just making sure." Then he nodded and smiled. "Yes, yes they are. When used properly." He added. Then he nodded. "So you will shift into your demon form, and then you can learn to shift back, and then you just well... continue on with your life."

Lexi sighed. His silence answered her just fine. "No. You're... you're more than that." She whispered, sighing softly. "You're more than just one demon. You saved me. The least I can do is to save you." She chewed her lip and closed her eyes making up her mind.

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae nodded a little and carefully put the bow down, she rubbed her hands together feeling intense heat that actually was freezing. "What will you do now? Just leave?"

Damon shook his head and took her hands softly "I said no. You don't have to do this...I'll be fine, I don't want to put you in the dark...you are far more amazing as an angel..."

message 103: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch raised an eyebrow, a smirk crawling across his features. "You don't know much about the demon thing, do you?" He asked, shaking his head. "I turned you, so I'm kind of like 'bound'" Air quotes, "To you until you learn how to be a well... demon." He explained. "So like it or not honey, I'm here to stay for a while."

Lexi looked up, her face scrunching in pain. "Thank you." She whispered. "But I can't just let you do that for me, and then get killed. I cant. I would never be able to live with myself. Like you said, not all demons are evil, right?" She asked hopefully. She knew she had to change... for him. And she would do it, but she was afraid.

message 104: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae blinked, seriously? Why didn't he tell her that before he turned her? She didn't want to be rude so she just nodded "fine, and no I don't know much...I guess that's your job to teach me"

Damon sighed "Maybe I won't get killed? You'd have changed your entire life and morals for me...for no reason. I couldn't be content knowing that! This isn't about me...you have to want to do this, for you."

message 105: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((so sorry this took so long!))

Torch nodded, sensing she wasn't too happy about this. "Yeah. It is." He agreed, smiling a little. "Oh, that's another thing. It will be a whole lot easier to stay alive if we live together for the next couple months. See, there's this 'you get weaker when you're apart' thing. So we could stay at our own houses, but we may not live through the night." He shrugged, as if it was nothing.

Lexi shook her head. "I can't take that chance." She smiled a little. "It wouldn't be for nothing. It would be to clear your name and very possibly save your life. Besides. I owe you. This is for me. For my peace of mind." She said, sighing. "I have to. Don't make me change my mind now." Lexi bit her lip, counted to three and closed her eyes, starting to Fall then and there before he could argue her out of it.

message 106: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments ((It's ok :) no worries!))

Mae took a deep breath "Alright I'm sure that would be fine. We've become such good friends down here" she said sarcastically but then smiled "before I move in with a man I'm pretty sure I should know his name?"

Damon sighed but she was far more stubborn then he had to ever deal with. He nodded "I'll be here to help you through this...we have to stay close it's kind of like a bond between you and me..." He helped her inside and got a garbage can for when she started to barf.

message 107: by Lara (last edited Jun 07, 2014 01:13PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed at her dry humor. So she does know how to have fun a little. Then he frowned, rubbing his hand over the back of his neck. "Uh... yeah... well... um... I'm T- no... Alex. Alex Milton. But no one calls me that. I go by Torch." He finally said after collecting a coherent sentence.

Lexi's eyes widened in surprise, and partially shock at his words, but she didn't have time to protest, as a couple seconds later she had to bend over the garbage can he had brought to keep from getting blood all over his floor. "Please tell me this is normal." She gasped.

((Thanks :) ))

message 108: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae laughed a little, so a demon gets nervous too? Interesting. "Well, Alex" she emphasized his name "I'm Mae, no clause connected, just three little letters." She smiled and rubbed her bare arms "can I at least get some things from my house?"

Damon nodded pulling her hair back so it wouldn't get bloody "unfortunately yes, this is the start of the process..." He emptied the trash can out and then got it back to her quickly. "You're going to feel a lot if weird sensations, all of them are normal. And if you feel like attacking or releasing pent up anger take it out on me. I'm not that sensitive."

message 109: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch raised a brow pointedly when she purposely called him Alex and not Torch. Is she teasing me? He wondered. Then he nodded. "Of course. Um... I guess I should go with you?" He asked. He wasn't sure if he would be welcome at her house.

Lexi shuddered, trembling a little as she continued to throw up. "Anger?" She coughed, surprised. Was that really something that came with being a demon? Was that a trait they naturally possessed? She was going to ask him, but then searing fire ran up and down her back, and she cried out as her wings shuddered and wilted, falling off her back and turning to dust. Then something kindled inside her. Something warm, and dark. And it was growing hotter, stirring her inside.

message 110: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae nodded "it's just me so there's no need to worry...seriously you tell me your name and now your as skittish as a roach..." She pocketed some knives and started up the stairs "well come on Alex!" She called down.

Damon rubbed her back comfortingly "the worse is almost over..." He assured and sighed "I'm sorry..." He repeated over and over. He went to get her a glass of water "I'm Damon by the way."

message 111: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch shook his head, trying to gather his wits. "Yeah, well the name's setting me off. If you need to know. No one calls me that for a reason." He sighed. "No one's called me that for years. Not since I was an angel anyways." He shrugged. Then he jogged after her.

Lexi leaned against the garbage can weakly, coughing and gasping as she finally stopped throwing up. She eagerly took the glass of water he offered her, almost inhaling its contents immediately. "Lexi." She managed, smiling weakly. "Nice to um... meet you? I guess?" She wasn't sure if that was what you would call exchanging names. "You said something about a demon form?" She asked suddenly. "Will I have one?"

message 112: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae frowned and touched his shoulder "I wasn't meaning to upset you...I just like the name Alex better then Torch." She quickly removed her hand and sighed "I'm sorry that being an angel was so horrible for you..."

Damon nodded "that's what you are developing right now...I'm sure that you will be equisite...and powerful..." He sighed and got another glass for her. "I'm sorry for the suffering..."

message 113: by Lara (last edited Jun 07, 2014 02:26PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch shook his head. "No. It's ok. You can call me that if you want. I'll get over it." He smiled then. "Are you actually apologizing? Let's document this date in history shall we?" He laughed softly. "It's ok. It wasn't your fault."

Lexi frowned. She was developing? What on earth did that mean? She drank the other glass he gave her quickly as well. The fire in her was growing to be so hot it was almost unbearable. "No. It's not your fault." She managed to stammer, before she collapsed to the ground, shaking. She felt like the fire would consume her completely and burn her away. She moaned then, tears squeezing from her eyes as her body started to change.

((Have to go soon. May only get one or two more posts in))

message 114: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae smiled "I apologized for stabbing you...and I know that, you've had a bad past...doesn't mean you have to have a bad future." She led him down the run down part of town to her apartment "not much...but" she shrugged opening the door.

Damon stroke her back hating to see her in pain, it tore him apart "it's almost over..." He comforted and sighed "almost over...I'm sorry...I did this to you"

message 115: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch nodded slowly. That was a very optimistic way of thinking about things, and he had to admit, it did make him feel better. "It's nice." He said, smiling as he walked into her apartment after her.

Lexi was trembling violently, but somehow she managed to shake her head and stammer, "Not... your... fault." Then she screamed and her body shifted then, changing until she was something completely different then she was before. At first, she just looked like a pile of black and red fur, along with two leathery wings, but when she lifted her head and stumbled to her feet, or paws rather, it was evident what she was. She was a rather large black and red cat with wings. Lexi looked down at herself and groaned. "It had to be a cat." She said, her voice sounding like a kitten mew.

((G2G Bye!))

message 116: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae shook her head "its a piece of crap, you don't have to be nice about it." She smiled and packed a duffle bag with all of her stuff which wasn't much." There was a knock at the door and angry voice "Mae you bitch! You better open this door!" Mae actually looked scared.

Damon watched and stroke her head "you ok?...." He smoothed down her fur and wings "you are a better looking demon then I could ever be!"

message 117: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed a little at that. "It really is nice. Better than some others I've seen." He said honestly. "Even if it isn't the best." He let her pack her clothes. Then he heard a voice that caused him to tense. "Who's that?" He whispered, noticing that Mae looked afraid.

Lexi purred when he stroked her head and body, smoothing her down. "Yeah. I feel fine now." Then she grinned softly. If she had been human, she would have been blushing. "Thank you." She said, purring louder. "Speaking of which, are you ever going to show me what you look like?" She really wanted to see him how he really was, but she understood if he didn't want to show her.

((last post. lol))

message 118: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae shook her head biting her lip, tears streamed down her cheeks "it's ok..." She whispered. More yelling happened with a lot of names that not even the scum of the earth would use. She opened the window wanting to climb out of it.

Damon sighed "Lex...not now, I lose too much control I'm not myself...I don't want to hurt you..." He scratched her ears "now you have to learn to turn back."

message 119: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch frowned, his fire stirring and his eyes flashed redder than their usual golden brown. "Who is that?" He repeated softly. "They don't have any right to talk like that." He looked over at her. "Who is that? Tell me. Now." He said softly, halfway between demanding and asking gently.

Lexi raised and eyebrow. "I think I can handle myself." She said, smiling a little. She was even more curious about seeing his other form now. But to be honest, she was a little nervous about this whole... losing control thing. "Yeah." She purred. "Turning back. How on earth do I do that?" She asked, tipping her head and closing her eyes when he scratched her ears.

message 120: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae sighed and swallowed "just a neighbor...he harasses me everyday, we went out once and I ended up at the hospital...he doesn't take no for an answer...let's just go please? He's going to try and break in."

Damon smiled "first you get yourself relaxed...and focus on what you look like, every small detail. You focus hard until you feel a cooling sensation and then you just let it happen...it takes practice."

message 121: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch felt his insides boiling, and that was dangerous. The air around him started to shimmer from the heat and he clenched his fists, trying to get it under control again. When he started to cool once more, he nodded slowly and sighed. "Yeah. Of course. Let's go." He followed her and jumped out of the window after her.

Lexi nodded and closed her eyes tightly, trying to force herself to relax. Then she pictured herself in her mind, as well as she could. She tried to picture every little detail, which required a crazy amount of concentration. "Is it working?" She asked hopefully.

message 122: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae shivered at the energy change in the air, like they were in a sauna. She watched him, was he upset about that? She started expertly crawling down the drain pipe and balconies. "Careful" she warned though it really was a stupid thing to say.

"No...don't lose focus by even talking or thinking about me. You can't force it, it just has to come..." He stroke her fur watching her visibly relax naturally, he knew she could do this.

message 123: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed softly and nodded at her warning. "Got it." He responded, following after her at the same pace. he wasn't too worried about falling. He had wings to catch him if he fell.

Lexi nodded, and tried to close out everything around her. She let her mind blank and slowly felt herself relaxing. Then she thought of herself. Her human self. She thought of it as hard as she could, thinking of every single detail. Then suddenly, it was as if the fire in her was being contained, and everything grew cooler. Lexi stayed as relaxed as possible as she felt herself start to shift again. When she opened her eyes, she was human again, and she grinned.

message 124: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae landed on the sidewalk and brushed herself off, she froze watching the guy walk by and willed herself to be invisible. Don't look over here...just get in your car and go! She begged in her mind. She clenched her duffle bag strap tightly trying not to lose control.

Damon grinned approvingly "very good...see? Wasn't too hard. Now that you have your form it's going to be a challenge to keep it in, you have to find what works for you."

message 125: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch followed close behind, sticking in the shadows as the guy walked by. His coal orange eyes followed the man as he passed, his whole body tense. He hated abusive people and bullies. He had a bad past with them. The man turned and started walking this way then, and Torch couldn't stop a low growl from erupting in his throat. "Hold on." he whispered to Mae. His wings unfurled like sails and he promptly wrapped his arms around her. Concealing them both, he took off into the air.

Lexi nodded, frowning a little. "Keep it in... like keeping down the fire?" She asked, trying to focus on what she felt. She was trying to understand what her demon form pushing to the surface actually felt like, and how to stop it.

message 126: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments She held onto him tight, not sure what was happening but so grateful that he got her out of there in time. He was turning into more of an asset then an enemy.

Damon shrugged "kind of? You'll feel it more then the burning it'll feel like it trying to break through the surface..."

message 127: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch smiled a little, closing his eyes. "Mmm. It feels good to fly." He said softly, before grinning down at her. "You ok? I'm just going to go right to my house now." He told her, leveling out and just soaring.

Lexi nodded, concentrating hard to try and feel it. She could, after a while, and she smiled. "Ok. Great. Thanks." She said, smiling. "Do you... um..." She found it a little awkward to ask. "Have any food?"

message 128: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae nodded and smiled, she loved the feeling of flying and the wind current, it was a long time since she has been in the air. "Don't drop me..." She teased "thank you...for getting me out of there."

Damon chuckled and nodded leading her into the kitchen "my house is your house, I can...well we can go to the store if there is anything specific you want."

message 129: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed softly, a roguish grin on his features. "Why? Cause you're scared of falling?" He asked. Then he nodded. "Yeah, no problem. Don't know if you should be thanking me though. You might slip and I'd drop you by accident." As if to demonstrate, he acted like he lost grip on her and actually dropped her. He watched her falling for a moment before he said. "Hm, guess I should catch you?" He dived down after her, and right before she hit the ground, he scooped her up again. "So, scared of falling, are we?" He asked.

Lexi shook her head, smiling. "Oh no. I'm not that picky. I'll eat almost anything. So anything you have is great." she said, smiling. In the back of her mind, she was wondering what would happen next. Would she be staying with him forever? Or just a while? What would happen?

message 130: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae was too shocked and out of breath, she slapped him hard "that wasn't funny!" Her whole body was shaking and she gripped the duffle bag tightly. Why in the world did she have to stay with him?! He was going to kill her!

Damon nodded and showed her where everything was "help yourself, I don't get that hungry so don't worry if there is none left I'll...we'll just buy some more."

message 131: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch grinned. "I thought it was." He was back to his usual, lighthearted self. He was rarely serious. He carried her evenly the rest of the way, swooping down on his doorstep and concealing his wings before he unlocked the door. "You should learn to loosen up a little, girl." he said, grinning and holding the door open for her. "I wouldn't have let you crash. You die, I die. That's how the bond works." He shrugged.

Lexi eagerly grabbed an apple and bit into it. "Thank you." she said, finishing the apple surprisingly quickly before moving onto some other food. She ate until she was no longer hungry, but not full either. Then she shut the fridge again and sat down on a nearby chair, rubbing her stomach happily. "So. I guess I should get to know you some... Care to tell me about you?" She asked, smiling gently.

message 132: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae sighed and nodded, why did he keep saying she needed to loosen up? She just got out of a torture session by him and was changing her entire identity. She glanced around his house, it was really nice "this is your place?...it's amazing..."

Damon watched and smiled munching on some beef jerky "My name is Damon Sylver, I gave up my soul to save my family....but when I came back to them they wanted nothing to do with me...I don't like to stay at the underground for too long, I love my best mate Torch...i can't read very well but I like to listen to books on tape or whatever...I don't know what you want to know?..."

message 133: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch shrugged, dumping his keys on the counter in the kitchen. "yeah. It's mine. Not anything flashy, but it's nice." He said, walking to the fridge. He got out some cold pizza and took a bite. "Want something?" he offered, looking back over to her.

Lexi listened and her heart wrenched a little when he talked about his family. She felt seriously bad for him now. That sounded like a horrible thing to happen to anyone. "You are one interesting demon." She said softly. "Um. I guess I should tell you about me?" She asked. She chewed her lip for a minute, before starting talking. "My name is Lexi James. I was kidnapped into being an angel, don't even know who it was, but he had to save his skin from falling by converting an angel or something." She shrugged. "I was raped, which you know. Before I was an angel, I grew up in an orphanage, and then foster homes. Never knew my parents, and never had any other family. I stuck to myself. I hate pears, but other than that, I like all types of food. Oh, and I'm seriously ticklish." She blushed. "Don't you dare use that against me." She gave him a pointed glare.

message 134: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae was looking at pictures and was startled back into reality "sorry...no I'm fine!" She assured and looked around at anything that could tell her something about her new room mate. She smiled running to the window and seeing a pool "how did you get this place?"

Damon grinned a little and poked her side "you shouldn't have told me that love! I am one mean tickle machine!" He plopped on the bean bag "so what kind of movies do you like? I don't have a lot but we could get some." He was just trying to make her feel comfortable.

message 135: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch nodded, shutting the fridge and hoisting himself onto a nearby counter top as he ate his pizza. He shrugged. "Ah, luck of the draw I guess." He said, smiling a little when she discovered his pool. "I've gambled once or twice when I'm low on money." He explained. "There's no rules against magic." He said, smiling a little.

Lexi squealed and jumped back when he poked her. "Great. Someone shoot me now. And I trusted you!" She protested, teasing. She sat on a nearby couch and folded her hands. "Well, I'm a sucker for chuck flicks, but I also love adventure and thriller movies as well. Horror's fine, as long as it isn't gory. Don't have the greatest stomach for overly gory stuff." She said, grimacing. "But honestly, I'm great with anything. I haven't watched movies in forever, so don't worry about me seeing anything recently or anything like that." She said, smiling a little. "Oh, and I've been meaning to ask you this. Why do demons have different forms? I thought they were all the same for some reason." She admitted.

message 136: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae laughed a little "Vegas must be swarming with demons...How do you still keep it inconspicuous? Humans aren't the brightest but they don't like to lose." She hoisted herself up onto the opposite counter and watched him "have you ever turned anyone else?"

Damon laughed at her movie list...pretty much she named every genre, but he'd figure it out. Movies were a good distraction and kept everything calm and at bay. He blinked at her question "different demon types...different jobs that we are in charge of...all angels aren't the same right?"

message 137: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed along with her. "Yeah it is. I like to go there myself. But it's quite a long flight and my wings get tired by then. But if you're up for it, it's nice." He said, shrugging. "Yeah. They don't like to lose, but I don't really care. I lose once or twice to shake suspicion." he admitted. Then he chewed his lip, nodding slowly. "I turned my brother." he admitted. "He was nine at the time. I was thirteen. Neither of us knew really what we were doing. You know, it was the whole, forbidden things are so much more fun theology."

Lexi nodded slowly shrugging. "Well, small differences, but not like, completely different forms like with demons." She said, shrugging. "I mean, angels all have wings, and human bodies. And power projections that are different colours." She sighed softly. "But yeah, besides that, mostly the same." She pulled at her hair absentmindedly, looking away then.

message 138: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae blinked that was almost like that old joke about 'flying from one place and boy my arms are tired' "you can go on a plane you know?..." She raised a brow but smiled "I don't think I'd be good at gambling, I can't keep a straight face..." She listened intrigued thinking about him so young. "What age did you fall?..."'

Damon frowned wanting to change the subject "want to see your room?...it's not done I'm going to make it comfortable." He promised and led her to the guest room.

message 139: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed. "Planes are for sissies who don't like to work." He scoffed. In reality, he just didn't like to spend that much money, when he had another way of getting there. Then he grinned. "We should play poker some time. I'm sure you're not that bad." He smiled. Then he shrugged. "Ten. That was when I got fed up with my family." He said it as if it was nothing to him, when that was really very far from the truth.

Lexi nodded enthusiastically, glad he had changed the subject. "Yes!" She said, following him upstairs to the guest room. It was large, but cozy, and very nicely furnished. "What do you mean, comfortable? This is great just like this!" She exclaimed, smiling in excitement. After being used to foster homes, this was really, really, nice.

message 140: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae watched him closely, he was wearing a mask...it was easily covered by snarky comments and being a well mannered guy. But, she knew it was a big deal she wouldn't press on the issue though. She smiled "I don't know how to play poker, you'd win by default...as you've mentioned before between the lines I'm a stick in the mud that doesn't know how to have fun."

Damon looked at her confused, he couldn't see what she saw apparently. He saw plain white walls, a boring bed and so much space to fill. "You can pick out paint and bedspreads and stuff...we could do whatever you want with it."

message 141: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch laughed, shrugging exaggeratedly. "Maybe. But we can change that." He slipped down off of the counter, walking into the living room. "So... Do you want a tour or something?" He called back over his shoulder.

Lexi nodded slowly, it was so much to take in. A whole room? All to herself? Now she knew she was dreaming. Lexi grinned and before she thought at all, she jumped on Damon and hugged him, squealing, "Thank you!" Then she blushed beet red, realizing what she had done. She let go of him and backed up a couple steps, looking down in embarrassment. "I'm... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to..." she stammered.

message 142: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae jumped down and smiled "sounds good! I might as well not get lost in the place I'm staying at..." She followed him glancing at everything piecing together slowly things about him.

Damon turned a couple of shades red as well, being surprised was an understatement as he caught her in his arms. He actually really liked it, the heat between them. She looked so sweet all embarrassed he walked over to her and gave a soft hug "hey...it's alright"

message 143: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch smiled and nodded, leading her through each room of his house. The garage, bathroom, backyard, porch, then the bedrooms upstairs. He passed a particular room - his study - and instead of showing her inside, he quickly shut the door and continued on. He reached the last couple of rooms, and showed her her bedroom, which was already nicely done with a blue/grey theme. "Here's where you'll stay. Hope you like it." He said honestly.

Lexi was more than surprised when he hugged her again. Did he actually... like the hug? Well, she never would have guessed that. It made her turn even redder, but she found herself hugging him back slowly, trying to hide how much she was enjoying being in his arms. "O-Ok." She said hesitantly, relaxing again.

message 144: by McKensie (new)

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae's curiousity went threw the roof as he shut that dark oak door. What was in there? Why didn't he want her to know? What was he hiding? She looked around the room, it was so perfectly her. She pressed her hand against the bed and nearly melted at the softness "it's perfect" she said honestly with a big smile.

Damon smiled a little and pat her back letting her go, he didn't understand how she couldn't stand to be touched and now was hugging him. Did he gain her trust? Even a little bit? He put his hands on her shoulders lightly "this is a safe place, you don't have to be embarrassed about anything...ok?"

message 145: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch nodded and smiled. "Great." he said, actually feeling relieved that she had liked it. "My home is your home for the next little while." He said, spreading his hands. "So you can go anywhere you like. But if a door is locked, it is locked for a reason." He added. There would be one door that would be locked all the time. "But you can go or do anything else you like." He said, smiling.

Lexi's eyes widened a little in surprise when she thought about the scenario. She had willingly hugged someone. She had... hugged someone! The strange thing was that it had not bothered her. It hadn't felt like a sensual action at all, more friendly, comforting. It actually was something she welcomed, longed even. She looked up into his eyes slowly and nodded, smiling. "Ok." She agreed. "Thank you."

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae smiled but in her mind she felt a little like Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Not that Alex was a beast...just the whole west wing being forbidden. "Thank you" she said sincerely "I'll try not to be a bother, I'm good at chores so whatever you need just ask." She put the dirty duffle bag in the closet feeling like it would corrupt the beautiful room.

Damon smiled feeling relief when he saw her smiling back. He nodded and glanced into the empty closet "you can put you clothes in here..." He paused they didn't stop to get her things. "Do you want to drop by somewhere and get your things?"

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch shook his head. "No need for that." He said, smiling. "We can alternate making or getting meals, depending on whether or not you can cook." He said, shrugging. "But other than that, there isn't much that needs doing around here." He said honestly. "I'm uh, going to go take care of some stuff while you get comfortable. Just call if you need me, ok?" He asked, pausing in the door frame. He wanted to give her some time to adjust.

Lexi nodded, shrugging a little. "Yeah. Guess that might be good." She grinned. "My stuff's at 384 Main street." She said. "Is that close enough to go get now?" She asked him, not wanting to make any extra work or trouble for him.

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae smiled "I can cook" she assured him and nodded laying on the soft bed. It felt like she was floating on a cloud, a lot was running through her mind and she wished she could just relax...not be so uptight like he said. She wondered why she hadn't morphed into her demon form like he was talking about...did she fall or not?

Damon nodded "yeah, I can fly you over there easily enough." He gave a smile "you aren't a burden, stop thinking like that ok?" She was easy to read, like a book. It made things easier for him to be honest.

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Torch left her some time alone and went downstairs. He wasn't quite sure what to think of his new room mate, but so far she was nice enough. Uptight, but nice. There could be the problem of her prying, but he didn't think she was the type of person to ask too many questions or snoop around so he wasn't too worried. He flopped back on the couch and flicked on the tv.

Lexi raised an eyebrow then. Was she really that easy to read that he could figure out what she was thinking? Well that's embarrassing. She thought. "Um, ok?" She said, not so sure she could think other wise, but she would give it a try.

McKensie (that-one-girl) | 5564 comments Mae sighed and glanced out the window, the view was beautiful and she was happy here. But even with him downstairs she felt alone...she missed her friends and classmates. Would she be able to go back to school? She got out her book from her bag and started to read before dosing off.

Damon shrugged and led her back outside "hold on darling." He wrapped his arms around her and two large black leathery wings came out as he shot towards the sky heading to mainstreet.
