Team Bones
I will be finishing The Martian real soon. I'll need a little hand holding in choosing my next book for the mini. I'm confused.... does anyone want to tell me what we could use most? In looking at the blue seven list vs. the letters used chart....whatever just give me a letter or two and I'll find a book......lol. Please?
Trinia wrote: "Hey Billy :D How about an R or a Y? That can be Title, Author or Character name :)"
Thank you, Trinia. You are the best!
See under our scrabble table it says 0 available for the letter Y. But R it says 5 available. Hence my confusions.
I have 2 books I know I'll be reading later this week - I'll link them when I get home and off the app. I should be able to get two more done next week, but I won't be able to pick those until some of my challenge tasks come out Sunday. I'll be on the lookout for Ys though!

Oh I see where you are looking - that table helped when figuring out the words themselves. The sheets are now all updated, so I would suggest a book that satisfies a: P E or N.
Thanks Billy!
Team Bones UpdateFirst off, Trinia and I SOOOOO appreciate how diligent and accurate you guys are when updating the planning sheets. It makes getting books assigned so much easier :)
We now have all but 7 Wild Cards and a reverse assigned for our March hands - woohoo!
We can decide as a team how we want to finish off the Mini challenge, in addition to the 3 7-letter words (with blue background on the planning sheet.) I'm thinking 3 5-letter words (15 books) is the safest, as we get 2 pts per finished word. (We've got a final 4 letter word we could use after if we have the books.)

Here are the open letters (needed) for our first few words:
M T L F P P N E
Hey y'all! I'm currently reading : Nineteen Minutes ; Tiger Lily
Still finishing Rebecca ~ But may push into April to get through some shorter books.
I've added A Dog's Purpose, as it came up on my hold list from the library.
And I'll get 2 new books tomorrow for challenges.
That brings my total to 2 CR books, with 3 added and potential of 2 more. So in grand total I should have a minimum of 7 more books finished by the end of the month.
Well, that sure is confusing ;P LOL!
I've added an E book (dog's purpose), so looks like we still could use:
M T L F P P N
Stacey wrote: "If we can use last names on characters, I have an F book. I'll be reading that one next."We can - great! :)
FYI. I will be finishing The Martian shortly and will add another book to finish out the month. I hope to have a chance to do so later this evening. .......TEAM BONES !!!!!!!! (Yep I screamed it.)
Billy "D" wrote: "FYI. I will be finishing The Martian shortly and will add another book to finish out the month. I hope to have a chance to do so later this evening. .......TEAM BONES !!!!!!!! (Yep I screamed it.)"Way to Go Billy! You got this ;D

:)

Trinia, is your last name Wood by chance? As in thee, "Evelyn Wood." You know the speed reading course. Huh?
I guess we can use an M or a T book. So I will read, The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit ( M- author and T- char. Terry Hughes) I will add it to the sheet ,later this evening.
Billy "D" wrote: "Trinia wrote: "Hey y'all! I'm currently reading : Nineteen Minutes ; Tiger Lily

Ha! I wish ;) Nah, I just listen to audiobooks. Usually I can listen at 1.5x speed. When I can't listen, I read, which is why I usually have 3-4 books under my currently reading shelf.
And Yes, for an M or T book. Thanks!
Shamber wrote: "awesome job everyone! a special shout out to those managing the sheets! it's so helpful!! :)"Thanks Shamber, but I must give all the spreadsheet credit to our lovely Teddie this month! She is the Queen Bee of the Spreadsheets. Now that I'm back I'm hoping to give her some relief ;D
Elizabeth wrote: "For right now, though, if I am reading it right we need a T. I can read Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances by Neil Gaiman."Thanks Elizabeth - that works great as we could also use it for a N :)
Elizabeth wrote: "And Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman for the N (x2!)"And all those character names!!! :)
So at this point, we need an F and a P to get all the letters from the first 3 words assigned. Then we unlock the next word :)
EDIT: If you would like to move a current book into the F or P spot and take the letter it held, just post here, or make the update and then post here :)
I'm waiting on 2 other challenges to post their tasks today, should be any minute! I'll keep my eyes open for a P or an F. I've also postponed A Dog's Purpose, as I didn't realize I own it and I could return it to the library.... one of those oversights from being a book addict. Already bought that one ;) and we don't really need any of those letters.
LOL
~Michelle~ wrote: "Just added a book with an F and a P.Fierce Peace has a character named Peter Townsend."
Thanks Michelle! I'll put it under F, but will keep in mind for the P ;)
Ok, all I've done a little rearranging on the mini-challenge. Please just check that your book is listed. I've got Michelle's book under P, Billy's under F and I added an M. Are we onto our 5's next? This strategy confuses me ;)
Shamber wrote: "All done with The Hedge Knight: The Graphic Novel."Way to go! I've updated dates on the spreadsheet ;)
Thanks! It was a good, quick read. I am a Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire fan. So this was an interesting prequel. I plan to read the others if I can get them from the library too.
Yes, onto the 5's!This strategy is to try to get as many bonus points as possible - we have to have a full word completed for bonus pts, and only get partial credit for 1 book. I wasn't sure how many more we would finish by the end of the month, but as usual you guys are blowing it away! :)
I finished
by Tarryn Fisher... It was one crazy and wild story! Warning though , it is not for the light hearted. Multiple touchy topics including child abuse, neglect, murder and an eye for an eye type revenge. I think I'm due for a feel good book like
Shamber wrote: "I finished
. There are LOTS of characters. I think I have them all added to the spreadsheet."Great! Thanks for updating ;)
I am still reading
for the mini, which is amazing, but it's taking me longer than expected because I got sidetracked with a Mercy Thompson re-read. I didn't mean for it to happen, but after reading the latest book I couldn't help myself from going back for a re-read. And it's just as good the second time around =)
Victoria wrote: "Oh, I also filled in three more scrabble letters - we're almost done!!"Your awesome!!!! Thanks Victoria ;D
Way to go Team Bones! We have all the Mini books claimed / covered !!
I could probably read one more book before the end of the month, so if anyone would like to put off finishing a book until April, please let me know!
(If you are having trouble seeing the sheet let Trinia or I know and we can PM you re: the books you have to committed to finishing in March.)
Also, I updated our official Bones spreadsheet with our completed words for part 2 of the Mini and we are sitting at #4 :)
In case you "Boss Ladies" are concerned about Billy D finishing before Saturday.....lol. Have no fear!
No problem Stacey! We have until the end of the month. I'll look for the countdown and try to post it.
Here's the
Countdown Clock to the End of March / Start of April
The planning sheets for April are also now available on our doc if you want to take a look and start adding your next books. There are 15 hands in April, but if everyone stays consistent with how they have been reading, we shouldn't have any problems covering all the cards. Please take a look at the color cards - we have all 4 colors this month, and it would be great to get those covered first and out of the way! :)
Elizabeth wrote: "I finished my last three books for the month! Ghost Story was another Dresden Files book, and I felt it wasn't quite as strong as "Changes." It was a decent transition book, though..."
Great Job Elizabeth! Way to finish strong ;D I think you deserve a break , lol. Take it easy and rest up for April!
Thanks for updating the spreadsheet!

I'm so looking forward to reading Norse Mythology! Gaiman geeked out a little yesterday because Ursula Le Guin reviewed it for The Guardian, although it seems like she may have wanted things to be a little less ... pleasant. ;)

Ok Team Bones - since we are reading above what was initially expected, I redid the March Mini part 2 words so that we used all the letters.
Here is what is currently needed to max out our part 2 bonus points:
A
E
S
S
T
We can probably move a few books around of course, but if you think you can finish another book by the end of the month, please post to the thread!
