It had the potential for awesome for me but some of the world building kept tripping me up. Loved the flow of the book and characters and the premise behind the story. I LOVED ZU!!!...haha(view spoiler)[ I kept scratching my head at some things. There are buildings abandoned so you would think there would be less people in that area. Then they were being followed by a car a couple cars back?? So I guess there is traffic? The Walmart being abandoned but still having food and clothes was a head scratcher. The president hiding his sons disappearance by saying he is off at college didn't really add up for me. With all that being said I enjoyed it and 4 starred it. Def had the potential for 5. :o) (hide spoiler)]

We had the same reaction. Some things about the world building didn't quite make sense, but I was so engrossed in the basic story that I was able to not let it bother me too much.
