worst book you have ever read that's popular?
Adriana wrote: "Looking For Alaska. Hands down. I don't understand why everyone loved this book so much. Don't get me wrong, John Green is great! I just could not stand any of the characters.."I sort of liked the book, but I didn't get the idea that much.
<----- This. What is up with this series? OK! I loved the
but then that it... It went all down hill in CoA
keep reading it will get better.... but that book sucked. lol most of the book that u guys don't like are books I love :) lol
It's interesting how varied this list is. It shows how different we all are when it comes to our taste in books.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar ChildrenWorld War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
Didn't HATE them, but two of the hardest/ boring books.
I can't stand the Mortal Instruments series. Could barely make it through the first book. The movie was just as bad.
Tayler wrote: "I can't stand the Mortal Instruments series. Could barely make it through the first book. The movie was just as bad."Movie WAS bad not even close to the book. frst book was good actually... secnd book it ws tht I fell asleep after a few pages.... Hate it.
I did not care for this! I tried so hard to like it since it is so popular and got such great reviews but I really couldn't get past the horribly unlikable characters...especially the main character, Cath.

Someone who agrees with me!! haha! I didn't hate it, I just couldn't get past Cath! I mean really girl, go find the cafeteria!!!

Totally agree with you about Insurgent and Allegiant!! So disappointed by those!!!!
Tayler wrote: "I can't stand the Mortal Instruments series. Could barely make it through the first book. The movie was just as bad."Completely agree. My eyes were bleeding.
Glad someone mentioned the maze runner, im attempting to finish it at the moment and I'm just finding it so dul!And insurgent, divergent was alright but I just couldn't stans Insurgent it was so annoying!!
@Tayler: I love the Mortal Instruments books, but I agree with you about the movie - it really wasn't that good. But they're planning a TV series reboot, so... *fingers crossed*
@Erica: Neither did I! :D And I always manage to forget that one when I list off the books I really don't like.

She was so horribly uncomfortable doing everything that involved being around other humans...I just couldn't relate to this at all. There was also pretty much zero character growth. I thought maybe she would come out of her shell but I didn't really see it.

I think she would have had more growth this way, and she wouldn't have been as scared of any human interaction.
For me it would be Nevermore. The plot was good but it felt like there was no emotion or suspense. The author would just state what was happening without any emotion or detail to back it up. I just felt very disconnected to the characters. House of Night I enjoyed at first but after the fifth guy was introduced I was annoyed and disappointed. I gave up I think on book 4 or 5.

the plot and the characters were terrible"I'm actually going to buy this. What was so bad about it?
Ricky wrote: "@Tayler: I love the Mortal Instruments books, but I agree with you about the movie - it really wasn't that good. But they're planning a TV series reboot, so... *fingers crossed*"I must be the only one that loved both the movie and book of Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
I think the casting was spot on. and everything direction they took with the film was awesome. I was actually disappointed about the TV show being announced. I hope they keep the original cast.
The mortal instruments series is horrific. I could barely get through the first book....and the movie was torture :/I despise those fallen books as well. The protagonist is an idiot female with no sense at all. Why are they so popular?
No i couldnt finish world war z either
Olana wrote: "No i couldnt finish world war z either"The movie GREAT, book beyond HORRIBLE, they were nothing like each other.
I absolutely hate the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver, the first book was alright but I couldn't even get through the last 2. I tried to skim through and see if it got better but it didn't. It was torture!!!!
I also really didn't like Eleanor and Park. I read it to see why everyone loved it so much, but I don't get why they do. :(
Joanne wrote: "Fallen (Guardian Trilogy) Laury Falter. Yawn!"I agree (though I don't think it was the worst I've ever read).
The Darkest Minds, the whole trilogy! I dislike Ruby and Liam, they annoy me so much! And the whole thing is just a Debbie-Downer. But everyone seems really love it. Just not for me I guess. And Fifty Shades, probably the most stupid book I have ever read.

WORST Love Triangle Ever
Unpopular opinion but The Fault In Our Stars... It just seems like the most pointless drivel John Green has ever released, it's terribly crafted and people say it makes me heartless but my god I didn't feel for the characters even the most minuscule amount.

I was the same as you, Sabrina. Then I read The Dream Thieves and went back to hating the series. I don't plan on reading the rest of the books.

I have yet to like any romance books at all. I am extremely unpopular. :( haha.
I was so excited to sit down and read A Fault in Our Stars and was COMPLETELY disappointed...... in my opinion it was SUCKY as heck!!!!!!!!! I have read books that I have disliked, but this was honestly the first book in a long time that I HATE!!!!!
Definitely the House of Night books. I was really into them a few years ago but I finally realized they were going nowhere and I hated the main character. Not sure these are popular books, but I think the authors are.
I just couldn't get into The Graveyard Book and I was SO confused during The Summer Prince. DNF either of them...
