worst book you have ever read that's popular?
Probably Looking for Alaska. I liked it, but it wasn't as good as everyone says, it actually is (in my opinion) the worst book by John Green.
I have to say Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (which I wouldn't have wasted my time on if I'd known she was one of the Authors Behaving Badly), and the second two Divergent books.
Anna Morgenstern wrote: "Probably Looking for Alaska. They seemed like the same characters in a different book with the same plot. I don't comprehend the John Green hysteria.
I didn't like The Selection at all. I felt like the rebels were only there as a poor way to create action. They aren't developed at all - it's like they just popped out of nowhere.
The vampire diaries and Divergent. Everone was like, it's soo much better than The Hunger Games, but I was really disappointed of the series. Except for the ending of course, VR will always have my respect for that one^^

I personally love Lord of the Rings, but I can see why some people wouldn't.
Looking for Alaska, it's not partially bad but it wasn't what I was expecting, John's more of a lesson ending writer and idk I just didn't like it that much.
The Selection. My number reason is (spoilers if you haven't read the Elite) EVERYONE WAS CHEATING ON SOMEBODY. America is, Marlee is, and Maxon could literally say to America, "I love you, but it's okay if you leave, because Kriss is my second choice."
My second reason is that it's SO PREDICTABLE. (Spoilers!) You can guess that her project is eliminating castes, that Aspen would come back, and that she chooses Maxon. Actually, I haven't read the One, so I can't confirm this, but it seems obvious.
Third reason: it has no meaning. At the end of the first book, America says, "I'm not choosing you or him. I'm choosing me." WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
And Twilight (need I explain?).
And Catching Fire (it was okay, not great or terrible), Mockingjay (most people I know didn't like it actually-it was boring and everybody died), Insurgent (summary of the book: Tris trying to kill herself, Tobias telling her to yo stop), and,
most of all,
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS.
Katlynn wrote: "Looking for Alaska, it's not partially bad but it wasn't what I was expecting, John's more of a lesson ending writer and idk I just didn't like it that much."I was about to say the same thing. I don't like books that have any connection to a life even remotely close to mine, so this book wasn't the best for me.

Not really, she just becomes more at odds with herself and continues to be torn between two boys, i mean, cliche much?
I have to say Daughter of Smoke and Bones and City of Heavenly Fire.Daughter of Smoke and Bones isn't what I expected.I just found it really confusing and creepy and weird.I was so lost at some point in the book that I just gave up and put it down. Funny thing is, I don't think I even hit the one hundred page mark yet. And City of Heavenly Fire was great and all, I just find Clary EXTREMELY annoying now. And it's been like this in the last two books before it too. Another book I'm not really a fan of is Evertrue. I've read the first two and I'm only like 1/4 the way in but UGH Nikky and Jack are THE MOST ANNOYING PEOPLE ON THE PLANET.Like they can call me when they get over themselves.
Fire (by Kristin Cashore), recently. This was how my reading process of Fire looked:
Start->stuck->proceeded slowly->stuck->proceeded slowly->...->I couldn't take it anymore->stopped at page 221
Ugh, how exhausting it was.
The Twilight, city of fallen angles, panick, crossed ( i really like matched though), and Eragon <--- these books were terrible. i don't even know how other people manage to end them.
Hmmmm...I'm going to go with Twilight...because its a given. Possibly Eragon..I didn't hate it but he is just so ridiculously descriptive about everything I found myself skipping chapters to finish. On a side note...I know we're supposed to accept everyone's opinions but every time someone says Harry Potter it hurts down to my core..like seriously..in my soul. That series is my childhood and will always be the best books ever written! Sorry if you do not agree :)
I have to admit, I liked Twilight when I first read it, cause it somehow fitted with my age at that time.. Buuuut I agree, it's terrible^^And I love HP too and I simply can't understand how somebody doesn't like it.
Well, Twiligth of course. It's very boring. But then there are books wich main characters who are totally annoying. I despise Clary and Jace from TMI, so it's very difficult to me like the series. Because that I like TID better. Other books are The Vampire Diaries ( I hate Elena Gilbert) and the Goddest Test. Sorry for my english :3
Omg the vampire diaries is really, really bad. I don't often think series or movies are better, but in that case it is true!
RIGHT?! The covers are SO cool. Thank you for the input! :) I mean as soon as they [SPOILER]........................ killed the grandfather less than half-way in, I'm like "Oh, come on!" A horrible main character AND this?! *sigh* LOL.
You are so right! :D

That one was reaaaally slow. Which was disappointing, because I LOVED Shiver.

Definitely Matched. I hate that book! I couldn't finish it. And Twilight ofcourse. I finished the first book but didn't want to start the second.
Hush Hush by Becca FitzpatrickTiger's Curse by Colleen Houck
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
I'm not sure which of the three I find the worst but, my god! Terrible, terrible books.
I don't know if it's the worst book I've ever read, but I really did not like The Hunger Games and to be honest, I'm having a tough time with If I Stay. I'm just not motivated to read it even though I like the genre, I'm just easily bored with it.
Tammie wrote: "Joi wrote: "Matched, Hunger Games, The Book Thief"are you nuts the hunger games are awesome"
I didn't like it. I only liked certain characters, and they died...sooo.
I know how you feel, Joi. I didn't like THG either.
Rangergirl819 wrote: "I know how you feel, Joi. I didn't like THG either."I disliked it so much that it turned me off from other dystopians as well, and I am upset it about that.

I agree hush hush by because Fitzpatrick was much better and out near the same time

The summoning. Or at least, I was under the impression that a lot of people liked it and I ended being kind of disappointed. Also twilight. I mean, I actually like paranormal and I think by those standards it wasn't very good. And then when you compare it with other non-paranormal it's just like...howw?
Lord of the Flies. I don't know if it's considered "popular", but when I read it in school everyone liked it but me. It was terrible. (By the way I also REALLY liked The Maze Runner, If I Stay, The Hunger Games, Uglies, Divergent, and all books by John Green).
Twilight, Matched, Looking for Alaska, The Lord of the Rings and Huckleberry Finn.I really liked tfios, hunger games and divergent though.
fallen and torment by lauren kate. wow I didn't stand with those book. the vampire diaries too. kinda surprising, im actually love the series. but didn't stand for the book.
and I have to say this, I dont really get Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi, everyone seems in love with this book but i'm not. I think its slow moves and boring and that writing style - -'' dunno I think it just depends on personal taste.
everyone said the next book is much better and fast plot line. Should I give it try bout second book?
I wouldn't say it's the worst book I've ever read or anything, I just didn't personally enjoy it. But I didn't like Perks of being a Wallflower.I also agree with Lord of the Flies and Vampire Diaries (I like the tv show though).

I Love the story and the plot but I can't stand the protagonist she's soooooo annoying the way she talks the way she thinks
