I just don't understand how this is popular; it's so badly written and the characters are all flat and stupid. I managed to make it through Fallen and Torment before throwing in the towel on the series.

I wanted to like the book, but I knew exactly what was going to happen just a few chapters into the book. And I was right. Sigh.

I liked the covers of the series. That is all.

I think that £he Fault In Our Stars' strikes some people on an emotional level. If it hits that for you, you love the book. If it doesn't, then I think most people hate it.
I could not get through Matched, and I thought MockingJay was the result of Suzanne Collins just wanting to end the series already.

Way over unrealistic. It's shameful and weak how the aftermath of a rape is described and it has nothing else but woo-hoo.
2. Beautiful Disaster
I actually liked this one until about the half of it. Then I grew tired the constant whining and overdone relationship.

Ughh the whole storyline was shallow, the heroine had a standard-YA-personality but worse and, since I've read it in dutch, the translation was TERRIBLE

I thought it was badly written and I hated all of the characters.I really don't get why it has so many positive reviews.

I also couldn't finish the Scorch Trails; I really loved the Maze Runner but the 2nd one was SOOOO boring

Arghh I so agree with daughter of S&B 2!! I loved the first one and then I started reading number 2 and it was so boring! I could not finish it. It was labelled as a lost cause about 100 pages in :(

I could not deal with it. I read the whole thing and I own it, but I'll probably never touch it again.
Same with Divergent and City of Glass (though I did read the first two and liked them).
I hated Divergent so much- it's ridiculous. I just don't like the characters (like wtf is tris doing) or the plot (FOUR??? Really??? And wouldn't everyone be divergent?). I just can't deal with YA sometimes. I also HATED Mockingjay. But I'm a huge Hunger Games fan in general-- I like the story concept, the writing is a little simplistic.
Another one I couldn't stand? Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
I adore the whole series. I'm a huge potter-head. BUT I CANNOT STAND THAT BOOK. I CAN'T. Half-Blood Prince is amazing, but Order is worthy of bullets to the head.

and Delirium was so typical.
love triangles are so stereotypical IF YOU MUST ADD IT make sure it's really awesome and not oh im such a girl i have feelings for both of them woop dee doo i love you both
-.-

I didn't like Mockingjay. The Hunger Games and Catching Fire were ok, but the Mockingjay was dull and I didn't like the ending

1) The very plot is not at all interesting
2) The main character is pure brainless
3) Too-perfect unrealistic hero with too many skills
4) I just simply don't see any point worth reading it

daughter of smoke and bone series! i got it frm the library psyched to read it, but then it got so bland...
delirium... just no.
twilight there's no depth really. i liked the idea of them loving each so fiercely, undying love, but it wasn't very great. To each their own I suppose.
twilight, and Divergent-definetly Divergent. Divergent was good in the fisrt few chapters but it just dragged on. It's like they just needed to add all the circumstances and it was too much. I disagree about Uglies though, though not the best, it was ok

SPOILER FOR MATCHED SERIES!!!! Also I hated Matched, Crossed, and Reached frankly because there was way too much things going on in the book (read my review). Plus I really only liked Xander and Cassia only ever thought about was Ky, Ky, Ky, and MORE KY! She ends up with Ky in simpler terms.

Also, I am about 3/4 through the first book in the Matched series by Ally Condle and I'm not a huge fan. I find the lead character to be really annoying and one dimensional. Has anyone read the whole series? Does it get better?

Well it's just my taste in books, it seems most people love Divergent though.
Nicole-
Hi! I read it, and nope. I thought it got progressively worse, and really random- it tried to be all Hunger Games-ey and Delirium-ish, but I just thought it fell flat. It was a pretty depressing and confusing ending, really. Up to you, but I wouldn't bother reading the rest. Don't be lured in by their cool covers! :)
