If you click the link in Kathryn's "reply" post which is supposed to be Suzanne's (not Suzanne's original link) check out what comes up!!!

I think it's probably because the reply has truncated the link in Suzanne's post, and what's left links to someone else's review of a completely different book!!!

Jazs Just changed over my Currently Reading to "This Is Not A Drill: Just Another Glorious Day In The Oilfield" by Paul Carter for a 2015 Reading Challenge I'm doing for the 'funny book' prompt. I heard the first chapter or so in audio book form in my Dad's truck a few years back and thought it was quite funny what I did hear so I thought I'd choose that for the prompt as I also had found a paperbook version of it recently.

If you don't know how to link your books Jessica, just click on "add book/author" in this/your comment box and follow the prompts:) We love to check out each others' reads and linking our books makes that possible:)

Jazs Ahhh righto - that's all good! :) I only just joined the group an hour or two ago and haven't really had too much of a lurk around yet and didn't see anything mentioned about linking in the initial posts for the two threads I posted in about specific books. Will do for the future though and thanks for letting me know and fixing up those two posts. *thumbs up*

Dale Harcombe | 6879 comments Well, there is one problem after having read a great book. It's hard to settle to anything less. I have picked up, started and discarded at least five of the books here to read since this morning. Just as well there is a good supply here.

Ryan And I have finally finished The Golem and the Djinni. Here is where I justify my three star review to myself and anyone else.

Now I'm on a much shorter book, coincidentally set during the same period - Thomas Keneally's The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith. I believe this is only my second Aussie author this year. For shame!

Bread with Seven Crusts by Susan Temby and The Sunnyvale Girls by Fiona Palmer also have this theme

I'd not read this theme before The Paperbark Shoe, and funnily enough I picked up The Sunnyvale Girlstoday, brand new. Highly rated from my friends here, as you know!

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Slowly getting through The Long Ships, nearly finished Lost at Sea and about to start The Quantum Thief.

I hate reading multiple books at once :C

message 13941: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Liam, I ALWAYS have two books on the go. Admittedly very different genres, one is always an "easy" read.

message 13942: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments I always said I could never do two, but I don't mind now if one of them is an 'easy' one as Marianne said, and/or a nf..

message 13943: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9837 comments I always have two - a paperback for reading in bed and an ebook for my commute to and from work. Not always different genres.

message 13944: by Jülie ☼♄  (new)

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments I sometimes have a couple on the go, especially if one is an audio book. But generally I like to get stuck in if it's a really good book I don't want to put down, and if it's not so good, I try to hurry through it just to get it over and done with...I hate not finishing a book once I've started.

Same. Although sometimes if my paperback is really, really good it comes to work with me. Recently someone caught me reading a paperback at work (that sounds bad - it was my lunchbreak) and got all worried, thinking that something had happened to my Kindle!

I always have two books on the go - one will be a paper or ebook to read at home and the other an audiobook to listen to when I am out walking.
