Great review Brenda. Apparently I had already liked it because I automatically hit the button and then saw I had unliked it, so I quickly hit like again. The mysteries of the computer sometimes baffle me :)

is great so far, but not being a catholic, I have have always had the assumption, due to films and books, that there are so many mean nuns.. I think I've met a nice one here, though.

Hi everyone - has anyone read or is about to read The Beast's Garden by Kate Forsyth? And if so would they be interested in doing a guest review for my magazine? We're doing a fairy-tale theme this month and I only just realised this was coming out…unfortunately I have three other books to review in the next week and won't be able to get to it. I was going to include Bitter Greens, but it would be great if we could include something brand new instead (especially as this one seems a bit controversial)

Hi Ash, it looks like a lot of my friends have this on their list but haven't yet read it as yet. I haven't read this author as yet, but have heard her speak many times on the radio. She has such a nice way about her. I hope you can find someone who has this book!

Another (Aussie facticious.;) novel springs to mind, that you might like: The Convent by Maureen McCarthy it is set in Melbourne and based on facts.

No but I have it on my wish list. Why is it controversial?

That’s true, she is so thorough and talented.

No not at all Rita...really educational but in an entertaining way; it's not force feeding medical information - it's fiction based on fact and that's why her research is so good, and her real talent at turning them into excellent novels:)

My review for A Corpse in the Koryo https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... It was an unusual plot - but then again, North Korea is an unusual setting.

This is a really sweet book 365 Gratefuls: Celebrating Treasures, Big and Small, breaking up the more serious nature of Unforgivable. It's s good mix actually.
I just finished The Dark Between the Stars by Kevin J. Anderson. Took me a while but gosh it was good.

Five star read for me, Unforgivable, I'm so glad I read this book. Here is my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I started Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen this morning and I am really enjoying it. It is my first Sarah Dessen book though I have been hearing good things about her books for while. This one has been pretty easy to get into and I am quietly happy I have the afternoon free to read this afternoon as I would like to finish it today :-)
I've just finished a very entertaining book, The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty. 4★s from me.Here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Not that I ever thought I knew all about the thalidomide tragedy, but I am learning sooo much reading this Silent Shock: The Men Behind the Thalidomide Scandal and an Australian Family's Long Road to Justice. Think this could be a 5 ★ read....
I'm currently reading 'You're The Kind Of Girl I Write Songs About' by Australian author Daniel Herborn. so far its pretty good

I'm reading Nevil Shute's The Far Country which I'm really enjoying. I've read and enjoyed one of his before, but I was a bit hesitant to pick this one up because I (rashly) was judging it by its cover (plain red) and its font (a boring, old-fashionedy, kind of dense-looking style) but I'm really enjoying it. It's easier to read than the font indicated and the storyline (at least so far) is good!
I finished The Alloy of Law by the brilliant Brandon Sanderson. Five stars!

I can't believe you've been listening to this! What a great book, and I said to myself, I wonder how much better it would be 'listening' to it. I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I did :)

Hey Suzanne, the link goes to your review for Me Before You, not The Girl You Left Behind. Is that what you meant?
