Hi , my name is Gilli and I live in Hampshire England. I'm a retired teacher and, when not reading, enjoy looking after my grandson and scrap booking. I also enjoy writing poetry and prose though just for pleasure. Favourite thriller and crime writers are Lee Childs, P.D. James, Ruth Rendell, Deborah Crombie and so many more. I'm looking forward to hearing others' views and recommendations.

Hi Mike,I've just glanced at you reading list and it's huge. If you haven't read it already I can thoroughly recommend the Black Magician Triology by Trudi Canavan. It's not really a thriller though.
Kevin

Welcome, Julia. I live in the Finger Lakes of New York. Dark and wet here. Agree with Brenda, good reading weather.
Thank you, Martha, it is nice to be here. We live in the Mid-Hudson Valley. I suspect your weather is colder than ours, but it's cold and dreary here today. Good reading and knitting weather. :))j
Tongue in cheek comment so please do not take offence but is there anyone apart from me on this site not in the USA. Now don't get me wrong - 5* feedback in the USA is great but let's face it your book lists are a lot longer than ours so getting seen needs many more. Now seriously: I've only been to the USA three times - 1. 1977 with HMS Tiger. We visited Fort Laurderdale, went to Disneyworld, and had a great time. (I was 17). 2. 2005 a 2 week holiday inSedina Arizona. We also visited the Grand Canyon and Toombstone. What wonderful places. Last was 2007. Another 2 week holiday. We stopped over in Detriot, spent the main holiday in Branson Missouri and also stayed a night in Springfield Missouri. Branson was too Blackpool like for us. The area around and was beautiful. The main reason for this last holiday was to satisfy my wifes obsession with Laura Ingles Wilder and visit the museum in Manson. Everywhere we went we had a warm welcome from friendly people. Hopefully well be back in the USA in about 5 years on our yacht.
So if there are no British on this sit I'm relying on yer all Americans ta push ma up on yer own site.
All the best and thanks for great holidays,
Kevin and Sandy Chilvers
