I'm retired and have been reading a lot for the past 60 years. Mysteries and Thrillers are my favorite genres. But I do branch out a little, from time to time. :)
I usually read ebooks purchased from iTunes and Amazon. I'm not a fast reader, I like to read slowly and enjoy the story. However, last year I managed to read about 70 books.
Thanks for this group, I'm always looking for new authors!
Bill

I've been receiving your messages so I'm joining in. I love mysteries and thrillers. I grew up on Agatha Christie. There can never be too many twists and turns for me or dead bodies.
Susanne

A few minutes ago, I looked at Goodreads Recommendations! Wow, there's a lot of good stuff there. Along with advice from members, I'll never wonder who I should start reading next.
The more I see of this site and the people here, the more I like it.

Alex I will look up your books, they sound interesting. My name is Paige and I am a retired woman who loves to read! My favorite books are Mysteries and thrillers. I did just finish reading "Tall Grass" by Sandra Dallas for a local book club it was interesting but I enjoy Stephen King, I am now reading 11-23-2015 and have just finished Mr Mercedes and others by King.

Thanks Malina :) How are you?"
Doing well, except for hating the cold winter in my neck of the woods :)

Susanne"
Yes it does. My favorite is The Hounds of the Baskervilles.

I'm mad about writing novels, watching movies, and anything to do with music. I'm a fourteen year old girl, and my favourite book genres are: Gothic Horror (obviously!) Romantic thrillers, Paranormal, and basically anything that's well-written, romantic, dangerous and action-packed.

Welcome Mary! I am truly very sorry about your son. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to go forward after such a loss. You have joined a wonerful, kind and supportive group to ease back into reading with. You stick with us and reading will be your warm blanket again in no time. Oh, and you will have a "to be read" list 3 miles long.

One of my dearest friends, in Kansas City, lost her oldest son about a month ago. There are no words to convey sadness with a friend loses a child. Or anyone, for that matter. I struggle with what to say to Patti, except to tell her I love her and I support her in whatever she needs.
My heart goes out to you.........and along with that, I offer you (and others) a huge welcome to our diverse group. We are quite a group!!!!!

I hope you enjoy our group. We are friendly, funny, and passionate about books. Feel your way around and do what's comfortable for you. We're here for you.
