S.K. Munt (wordwhisperer) Hi I'm Sam I've been silent of late, too busy click-clacking on my next book to actually read anything but I've noticed that this group is getting really active lately from notifications and decided to pop my head in. *Waves* hi. Aussie girl here, mother of 3 girls, Musical theatre part-timer and writer since the first grade when I got my first award.
Not to brag, but I WAS the only kid in class who could write a full sentence so... feel free to bask in my glow ;)

Dean Koontz is my god. Very into King, Cronin, Laymon and Birmingham too.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Welcome Elaine and Sam!!

Thanks so much for contacting me Sean and letting me know about your group. I've written a crime trilogy featuring Alicia Allen an Anglo-Italian lawyer based in London with a passion for solving crime. I come from a legal background so have used that in my novels. As well as writing crime I really enjoy reading the genre too so am delighted to be part of this group.

Mike Meyer | 15 comments I have resided in and have visited many places in the world, all of which have contributed in some way to my own published writing. I have literally traveled throughout the world, on numerous occasions. I have lived in Finland, Germany, Thailand, Saudi Arabia (where COVERT DREAMS - INTERNATIONAL SUSPENSE COLLECTION BOOK ONE - is set), and the U.S. Virgin Islands (where DEADLY EYES - INTERNATIONAL SUSPENSE COLLECTION BOOK TWO - is set). I gained the wanderlust to see the world, to experience other cultures, at an early age, and this desire has never left me. If anything, it has only gained in intensity as I have aged. I try to travel internationally at least once a year. In the interim, I spend lots of time traveling around both my home state of California and other nearby states. I am a retired English professor. I live in Southern California wine country with my wife, Kitty, and our two adorable rescue cats.

message 723: by Martyn (new)

Martyn Halm (amsterdamassassinseries) | 4 comments I'd like to thank Sean for the invite.

I'm Martyn V. Halm, author of the suspense fiction Amsterdam Assassin Series, featuring female freelance assassin Katla Sieltjes and her blind boyfriend, jazz musician Bram Merleyn. I have three books and three short stories out now, and I'm working on the fourth novel. I'm a stickler for verisimilitude, so I tend to be irked by a lack of research.

I checked out some of the threads here, and I think I'll feel right at home here.

Steven Freeman | 40 comments Hi Everyone,

I joined the group a few weeks ago, and I'm enjoying it immensely!

I'm both a fan and author of thrillers. I enjoy classic mysteries (Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) and more contemporary thrillers (a bunch) as well.

I've penned two novels in a romantic thriller/mystery series entitled "The Blackwell Files," and the third book in the series, "T Wave" will come out on May 3rd.

Here are links to the first two books:
Nefarious
Ruthless

I hope you will give them a chance. If you interested in a free copy in exchange for a review, kindly send me a personal message with your preferred format (Kindle, Nook, or good old PDF) and the email to which I should send the file.

Hello everyone!

Steven F. Freeman

Is there a better way to read the current messages? Hey, if I don't ask......and I can't find the ans on my own........how will I know?

message 733: by Lavada (new)

Lavada (kraftyvada) | 436 comments hey Ter'e. I had the same problem. on the website if you click on date it turns the arrow around where current is first. if you are on mobile ap I have to hit my menu button and then hit newest first.

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Ter'e - Do you know where the term "Poker Face" came from? From my usual disposition.

There is a way. It should say newest first on a menu. On my tablet there's an option for this. On the website click on date.

Hi Sean, just had a spending spree buying most of Sharon Bolton's back catalogue on Amazon. Mostly hardbacked, used copies. Hopefully they'll be in decent nick. Know you're a big fan and I've just been approved the latest Lacey Flint on Netgalley, so thought I better read all the previous ones!!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Hi Janet. Do you have access to ABE Books in the UK? It will take a title and scan thousands of used book sto5res giving you the condition and letting you get the best price. I know that I have seen books there I could order from UK suppliers (as well as US and Canada). Just thought I'd mention it as you might save a bit.
