Hi Everyone, I am an author (still not used to actually saying that) from West Midlands in England. My partner (Julie) and I have been together for 30 years but are not married as neither of us likes to rush. We have a diva Labrador and a swearing parrot. My First crime book SILENT SCREAM was released in February and the second Kim Stone book EVIL GAMES was released in May. Lovely to be here and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Hello Everyone! Thank you for having me in this group, it seems really a good community. I am a children's books editor with a passion for thrillers, as well as for so many other genres I couldn't sum up.
Among the action thriller books, I think Lee Child is some kind of god. I also appreciate Patricia Cornwell and the Karin Slaughter style, while unfortunately I'm not a big fan of Jeffery Deaver: no matter how good one of his story is, every time I find myself tired of his writing and his staging. And I don't love very much when the culprit pops up in a deus-ex-machina way.
Recently I found interesting The Nightwalker, which I read in Italian (but I think it will be available in English soon). A bit claustrophobic, but interesting. Different.
And I highly recommend Out: not a proper action one, but certainly a great one, in my opinion.
I look forward to reading tons of new thrillers, so I will stay tuned for your recommendations.

      That was quick !!
Welcome Rokovoko, from Italy.
We love thrillers, and Karin Slaughter has done two Q & A for this group, have a lllok through in the authors section.

Yay! I came here on Goodreads just to join groups like this :).

There are so many posts, I'm not sure if I have posted in here.
There are so many posts, I'm not sure if I have posted in here.Oh well, here goes
I am a *cough cough* middle aged woman, and I live in the UK.
I read A LOT, and review A LOT and some of you know me on here. I'm an independent reviewer, reading for Indie/self published authors, I also have a promotion blog where I like to promote authors and share that around the media in cyberland that I am connected to. I also read for Publishing houses, books are always dropping on my front door mat via my letter box! Or widgets for invitations for me to read an ebook. I also belong to Net Galley and have a good ratio. I LOVE reading and when I get a book that I sooooooo love, you can't stop me raving about it :)
I am a care giver for my husband and I am registered disabled myself, so when I do have ME time, guess what I do? yep, read.
Happy to get to know fellow readers, so if you want to befriend me, please do.
Thanks for letting me join. I'm Karen and I live in central Scotland. I read a lot of the authors mentioned in this thread, and while my favourite author is probably Lee Child, followed by Harlan Coben, I have particularly been reading British authors recently.

Does anyone in the UK/Scotland go to the Bloody Scotland crime fiction festival in Stirling in September? I have gone every year since it started (4 years ago), and I'm very much looking forward to hearing Linwood Barclay speak this year.
I'm always interested in getting more reading suggestions, so I will look forward to participating in this group.
Hi all......my name is Josen (pronounced like Jasen, except with an "O") :) I'm (ahem) 40+, from southern California and out of all my hobbies, reading is the top of the list. (I was one of those kids who, in elementary school, waited every month for those scholastic book orders. Lol!) Over the last year I hadn't been able to read as much as I've wanted to so this last month I've been devouring as much as I can. I've always been into thriller/suspense/horror/mystery but I do read other genres as well. I still have to finish putting up my books I've read and I haven't clicked on everything I "want to read" because that list would just go on forever. Lol!

Hi, my name is Kat and I happen to be a week away from turning 30. I live in Oklahoma and graduated college with an Associates and Bachelor degree in Art (focused my body of work in oil painting). I love to read and it is just one of my many interests. This group was introduced to me by a fellow lover of Thriller/Suspense novels. I hope to get some good recommendations on what to read next!

(Oops) learning about new authors and upcoming books. I'm a fan of mysteries and crime fiction. Some of my faves are Joseph Wambaugh, Richard Price, George Pelecanos, Don Winslow, and Charlie Huston.

 Hey everyone!
Hey everyone! My name is Mel, I'm from Australia! I'm absolutely obsessed with Sharon Bolton at the moment after being auto recommended the Lacey Flint series (thanks Goodreads!!). I've just started my own blog, a work in progress. www.booksbabiesbeing.com
I love a good thriller, but I pretty much like every genre. Except historical fiction... Never found one I like!
Nice to meet you all!
Welcome, Mel!! Glad you found your way over here. If you ever want to try a historical fiction book, go for The Nightingale

Hello, I'm Annie and I live a commutable distance to Seattle, Washington (although I am from Southern California). Prior to GoodReads, if you asked my favorite book genre I would not be able to answer. Now in listing everything I read I see that I read predominately mysteries, thrillers and horror (including YA-no romance please, or vampires) and whatever else seems interesting. I love a group like this because I always discover new authors. Already in just this thread I see authors I've not heard of before!

Hi I'm Colin, I live in Tipperary, Ireland.
I like to hike, which is good because we have three great mountain ranges here in Tipperary.
Reading is my stress relief, I'm also a journal writer and film buff.
Writers that I always look out for:
Walley Lamb
Sally Vickers
P D James
Ian Rankin
Ken Follett
To name but a few.

Hello Thrill Seekers. My name is Scott Bell and I'm a virtual newbie to Goodreads and to this group in particular.
Hello Thrill Seekers. My name is Scott Bell and I'm a virtual newbie to Goodreads and to this group in particular. In the Thriller category, I enjoy Stephen Hunter, Robert Crais, and (my latest craze) Jason Matthews.
I look forward to participating, but the sheer size of the group forum is somewhat overwhelming. I may have to pick my spots.
Best,
Scott
