Since we're talking sports . . .
I grew up in LA watching and loving the Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams (yes, that was a while ago). A few years after we married, I got a high tech job in Silicon Valley and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, thanks to my teenage sons, I like the A's, Giants, Warriors (go dubs! Beat them Cavs!), and the 49ers. But, I still like my LA teams (secretly).

Hey hey everyone! Just discovered Goodreads thanks to a post on a facebook page and can't believe what I've been missing! I'm a massive book worm and although I have only just signed up and have a staggering friends list of 1 I am in love with this site already and am having fun exploring. Starting by joining some interesting groups. I'm sure I'll enjoy interacting witg other book lovers and hope I find my next fave book here... By the way, feel free to friend me because I could do with more than one friend :-)

Hi Mel! I'm here lol Hi, my names Beth and my friend Mel has just kindly directed me to Goodreads. We've always been huge book lovers and can't believe both of us were completely oblivious to this wonderful site. I love thrillers, horror, fantasy and lots of supernatural stuff mostly but am open to reading new things and love to find new writers with great books to read (especially undiscovered indie authors with diamonds in the rough). Mel was actually sent to Goodreads by a new Australia indie author on Facebook and she promptly told me all about it. I look forward to meeting new people and getting lots of recommendations for great new books!

I've just finished Finders Keepers by Stephen King and now just started The Girl On A Train by Paula Hawkins

I just finished The Inner Circle by Brad Meltzer. I found it deceptively good. He writes very short chapters. I found myself repeating, "Just one more chapter." When I finally looked up, I was halfway through the book. I finished it the next day!

It's mostly about her Katherine Ling character but also has Eve Duncan. A drug kingpin is killing people she cares about so she is trying to hunt him down and kill him first. I'm about 2/3 in and it's good. I really like Eve.
