I haven't read that one yet. I read Gone Girl and Dark Places. I'll have to read Sharp Objects soon. Thank you for the suggestion. I often read books other member suggest.
Hello Tammy and welcome,
we love chatting, in fact we have a "Chat Chat Chatter"
thread, but we talk a lot about books as well !!
Top 3, hey number 1 !!

I know the feeling. I really liked Dark Places too. It was much better than Gone Girl. I think I have books in almost every room of the house and then I get more from the library all the time.

Whenever my sister in Virginia visits she brings up boxes of books. My brother and I take turns reading them. My brother lives alone and doesn't watch tv so he is always reading when not working in his garden.

I'm on disability with chronic lower back pain so I pretty much have nothing but time to read.

Helen, if I can get comfortable I can get into the book and not think about the pain for a while. Reading also helps me fall asleep which is something I don't usually get too much of.

I live in Brighton UK and used to work in finance until I quit a few years ago to write thrillers set in the business world. I have two books published and a third in progress, but I will be well-behaved and say no more about them in this thread!
I also love to read thrillers and like Lee Child, John Grisham, Philip Kerr, Linwood Barclay, and Robert Harris to name but a few. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and discovering some great new reads.
Rose

Helen:
Some of my favorites - The Prey Series by John Sanford - don't have to read in order except for Shadow Prey and Eyes of Prey. - Tess Gerritsen - #1 The Surgeon, #2 The Apprentice (nothing like the Angie Harmon tv show), have really been getting into Tana French and S.J. Bolton (Lacey Flint series), John Connolly (Charlie Parker series), Michael Connelly (both Jack McEnvoy and Harry Bosch), Ian Rankin (John Rebus), and James Lee Burke (Dave Robichaux) - who taught briefly at Wichita State when I was there.
Best,
Cameron

Hello everyone,
I am Melissa from the rainy land of Vancouver, Canada.
I have too many favourite series to name - but one of my favourite is the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs.

Perhaps your husband needs a new CPAP/APAP machine. I use a ResMed S9 with a humidifier and it makes no noise at all. My wife and I both sleep right through it with no trouble at all. I cannot sleep without it.

Not a problem, Helen. I only hope that you can enjoy some of them. ; )
