 Morning!
Morning!I am a very new member and am a reader and as of a couple of weeks a debut author.
I live in London and enjoy crime fiction; Simon Kernick, Irvine Welsh (elastically crime fiction, I suppose), John Grisham and Mark Billingham are some favourites, John Le Carre an inspiration and Lee Child a guilty pleasure!
Always happy for feedback on my writing and to join in group discussions.
Thanks for having me.
Hello all! This in my first group on goodreads. I am living on a small island in South Carolina. I love to read, but I don't make enough time to read. I am busy teaching and raising two young daughters. I can't wait to start getting more into books again!!!

Hello Arinn, welcome to the group. Beware of the sharks. I'm sure you haven't heard that before. I'm in MA not far from where Jaws was about. Enjoy reading again.

You can learn a lot about a person by listening to at least ONE of his (or her) YouTube Playlists. I have three main playlists and at least two where I have placed holiday themed videos.

This was a John Wayne movie as well. This was preceded by a video for the Five Satins 1956 song IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT as recorded for the soundtrack of the George Lucas movie AMERICAN GRAFFITI
There are also things on my playlist that will make you think that Classical isn't as boring as you may have once believed when you listen to well executed METAL versions... .

I like those songs too, Amber. I love that move American Graffiti. Thank you for sharing your playlist. I'll have to watch/listen to it soon.
It's good to have Aaron and maybe others introducing themselves every once in a while, so we'll have some serial introductors around.

 Hi everyone-
Hi everyone-My name is Kristin, from Wisconsin. I'm earning a degree in journalism and film studies. (I live for trips to the theater! Books and movies are my jam.)
I fell in love with reading first when I read a simpler version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in elementary school and again when I picked up F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby in seventh grade.
From then on, I've come to know and love the mystery and adventure that can be packed into novels by Harlan Coben, Gillian Flynn and others of the like.
I look forward to hearing some of your reviews and recommendations!
Cheers!
 Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,Usually I don't like to introduce myself but since Sean (or Susan) asked so nicely and it seems to be common in this group:

I have so many different interests I don't even start about I don't wont you sitting tomorrow reading about all this stuff ;-)
I'm a total number freak with a big passion for reading and if in the mood for good movies.
I read almost everything just hate horror and hard core SiFi/Fantasy (with mutants, strange worlds, destruction and that kind of stuff) love mostly Christian romantic suspense, thriller and mystery novels, sometimes romantic or historical novels too.
I you want to know more about me feel free to ask :-)

Hi. I'm 89, finishing 4th mystery novel. First wrote at age 82. An Indie Excellence Finalist. 4th gen. Calif. Oakland native. Books locale: Bay Area, see following:How HELL’S ANGELS influenced CASEY’S SLIP.
Over the years we berthed several of our sailboats at a marina in Oakland where several semi-retired Hell’s Angels were live-a-boards.
Those gents were great neighbors and knew everything there was to know about boats. They had every tool imaginable and were free with lending and advice. On top of that and because of their reputation as “dangerous”, theft was virtually nonexistent at that marina. A very real plus.
I’ve remained friends with one of those “gents” for many years and he eventually became a model for one of the chief characters in Casey’s Slip. At my invitation he has attended a couple of my book signings and more than once was asked to also sign my book.
I refer to him as a “gent” because of an impression he made on my wife early on. We were attending a wake for old time seaman at the marina and my friend, upon meeting my wife for the first time, gallantly bent over from his six foot plus height gently took my wife’s hand and kissed it.
“What a gentleman,” was my wife’s comment. That man became Smitty in my book.

Hi, Kristin, Agnieszka, Richard, Adrian, Stephanie, and everyone else that I have missed! I am so happy to have you here with us and welcome to the group. I also want to say hello and welcome to Aaron who is new to me, and I love how involved he has been with the group! I want you all to do the same and feel free to jump in, participate, start conversation and feel comfortable here. You are all important and your opinions and thoughts are welcomed and wanted. My name is Autumn and I help out Sean however I can. I hope you all check out Book Pals and the games and have fun! Book Pals is a great way to take down that TBR list while getting to know people in the group one on one. You can read the same book, or pick different ones for the other to read. It is a lot of fun!

Hi, all. I'm Aurora. I'm an attorney in Colorado, and reading is my favorite! Especially thrillers. :) I'm writing my first novel but by writing I mean outlining, so I'm quite a ways away from having finished a work. haha
