I hope you and your daughter have a fun, safe trip and you find your parents well!
It's going to be great to be a part of such an active group. I hope down the road I'll have some positive contributions to add to the mix.
Hello Group! My name is Tooter (lifelong nickname) and I hail from Lafayette Indiana, home of Purdue University. I have 2 children and 2 1/2 grandchildren. I love to read, especially literary fiction, mysteries, thrillers (I draw the line at horror), well written young adult and light science fiction. I've met some wonderful people on Goodreads who have been extremely helpful in my search for a good book through their reviews and ratings. This website has helped me expand my reading tastes to genres I never thought I would enjoy.

Hi to all the new folks. To all my friends, I normally HATE this song, but since I know the guy who made the vid I have to say it's a pretty good looking vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67gjS...
To the new people: You may be asking yourselves "What does this have to do with introducing yourself, Amber?" I believe you can learn a lot about a person simply by listening to his or her YouTube playlists and that is video #213 of #217 on my first playlist.
OOPS! Sorry...wrong URL!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2kie... is the proper one for the STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN themed trailer for THE FORCE AWAKENS...and yes, I know the guy who made this video too.
Welcome to all the new faces! Jason, that is so awesome that you are based in Japan! I want to go there so much, but I dream daily of going to China for missions. Hello everyone, my name is Margaret, and I live with my husband and two dogs in Muskoka, Ontario. I work as a librarian, my husband is a butcher, and we are expecting our first child this fall. :) I love to read, and adore a really good thriller.
Welcome Margaret,I just love the Canadian English but don't ask me why - I have no idea - I just realized it's different and set up recently a shelf for books in Canadian English (or refering to Canada) it's still more or less empty but that will change. And if you have any recommendations (I read everything but horror, New Age and hard-core Fantasy/SciFi) I would be more than happy.
Muskoka is also the lake district from one of my long-time favorites books The Blue Castle :-)
An extra warm welcome from Germany :-)

Hi, I'm Dorie and have been on Goodreads for many years. I am a member of NetGalley and am fortunate to be able to read a lot of pre release thrillers. I just got into psychological thrillers this past year. My favorite genres are historical fiction, history, fiction and of course thrillers. I live in Mequon, Wisconsin on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. My husband and I are retired, have four grown daughters and 2 grandkids, soon to be 4! Besides reading I love to quilt, travel, and am a volunteer adult tutor. I've had cats for 43 years and currently have two.

Don't know if I've introduced myself here or not. I'm Steven J. Clark. I have two books under my belt, All The Pretty Dresses, a mystery/thriller set in WV, and Wages of Greed, a John Grisham meets Tony Hillerman legal thriller set in the Four-Corners area. WOG just made the top-ten in Amazon's Native American Fiction category last week, and ATPD earned a top-ten finish in a major international book competition last year.I love interactions with readers and other authors alike.

Hi Fellow Thriller Lovers. I work by day as a hydrogeologist with an environmental consulting firm in Boulder, Colo., and by night as a writer of historical and modern suspense novels. I have a deep and abiding interest in military history and intelligence, specifically related to the Plains Indian Wars, World War II, and the current War on Terror. My current and forthcoming titles in 2015 and 2016 revolve around these subjects and include "The Slush Pile Brigade" (coming Sept. 15, 2015) and "Blind Thrust" (coming Oct. 6, 2015).In addition to my suspense novels, I am the author of numerous peer-reviewed professional papers and book chapters on groundwater contaminant fate and transport and environmental remediation. My second forthcoming novel, "Blind Thrust" (Oct. 2015) was inspired based on my experiences in California and Texas as a Registered Professional Geologist in assessing earthquake hazards and fault classifications in environmental site assessments. My forthcoming novel, "The Cluster"(July 2016), is based on my experience working on the Rosamond cancer cluster case in Southern California. For those interested in learning more about me or my books, please visit my author's website at www.samuelmarquisbooks.com or my Goodreads authors page.
My favorite suspense writers are Daniel Silva, Preston and Child, Ken Follett, Stephen Hunter, Richard North Patterson, Kyle Mills, and Barry Eisler. Glad to be among thriller lovers.
Looks good, Samuel! Blind Thrust really looks good. Do you like Clive Cussler too? He's one of my favorites.

Hi Everyone. I'm Neil. I grew up and spent most of my life in NYC but now live in Tennessee. I am also a musician since I was a child. I play guitar and sing. I have one book published, a thriller called the "The Railroad which incorporates my personal experiences on 911 with a number of other elements including child abuse.
