Joel Gomez-dossi (JoelGomez-Dossi) | 1 comments Hi everyone!
My name is Joel Gomez-Dossi, and I love thriller and suspense novels. Perhaps that's because I live in upstate New York and have plenty of time to read. I've written two novels that were published by Bold Strokes Books, Pursued and Deadly Cult. My third novel, Lethal Elements will be published in 2015.

message 465: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Updegrove | 9 comments Hello all. For the first 15 years of my reading life, I read fiction (literary, science fiction, you name it). Since then (too many years to want to mention) I've exclusively read non-fiction. But for some reason a couple years ago I decided to write a satirical cybersecurity thriller (called The Alexandria Project), and found that I had a very good time doing it. I'm now working on another one, and figured this would be a good group to join, especially to listen and here what people think makes for a great thriller.

Dawn Whidden (dawn71753) | 8 comments My name is Dawn Kopman Whidden and I am an author and avid reader of mysteries. Also really fond of historical fiction.
Presently reading a new author to me, DOUGLAS BOREN'S Pirates Revenge and really enjoying it.
I am waiting for my third novel to be edited and published.
Thanks for the invite.

Welcome to the 20 new members that have joined today !!

Authors thanks for promoting this great group.

You are ALL welcome

If you would like to vote go to April- May Nominations to vote for one of our "own" member author voted books.

We are different here, and will pick 3 books to read over the next two months.

But regular members will tell you, these three books will be as part of a busy couple of months for this group.

With Q & A authors, we are all rushing to fit in one/two Karin Slaughter books, as she is a guest and member of this site, and is answering questions on April 8th.

Also author Mark Sennen will be here in the next week or two.

And early summer Brian Freeman.

It is a shame so many members missed author Sharon Bolton (SJ Bolton) last week.

regards

Sean

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Welcome Alexandra!

Lorraine (saanichlori) | 33 comments Hello, I'm Lorraine and I just joined today. My preferred read is a mystery but I also like some period novels and some non-fiction.

I live in Victoria, Canada "the city of gardens" but will be moving to a smaller city later this month. I've recently retired, as has my hubby, and we want to be be closer to family and learn new areas to explore. I'm an enthusiastic member of Postcrossing , exchanging postcards with other members around the world - it's fun to receive real mail in your mailbox. But the cost of internartional postage in Canada just increased to $2.50, so it may be too expensive to continue. But luckily libraries are still free.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Carrie...are you sure?

message 481: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Carrie - Imagine if you had the power to flick anyone's nose from a distance. Choose a target and keep flicking his/her nose lightly repeatedly. You get the drift?

message 482: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Carrie - Yup Flick ONLY. You can flick the ears also. That works well too.

message 483: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (autumnmemory80) Hi, everyone! My name is Autumn and I live in Auburn, Alabama. I love the way that sounds... Auburn, Alabama. It has been my dream for over 15 years to live here, and I finally made it. As you can probably guess, I am a HUGE Auburn fan. In the south we eat, sleep, and live for college football. I am no exception. I do have another passion and that is for books. My favorite genre is crime/mysteries/thrillers. For me, the grislier, the better. I have my Masters in Library and Information Sciences, so I love books, I love reading them, collecting them... Lately, I have been trying to read from other genres as well to branch out. I think my passion for reading mysteries began when my maw maw bought me my first Nancy Drews. I have always been an active kid, but I also loved Saturdays where I would stay in and read a whole book in one day. My favorite author is Karin Slaughter and I hope to meet her some day. I want to go to the Decatur Book Festival this year with the hope she will be one of the authors attending.

I look forward to all of the discussions and new suggestions!
