Not too many questions listed yet for the author.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Thanks Nancy. I'd read he left a partial manuscript and notes for a couple of other books. I'd also read that rights were unclear and it would be a while if anything came of any of them. Sad.

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Hi to all, near and far,
I'm Ter'e...........a native Californian, living in central Florida. Like an idiot, I am wanting to move back to KC, MO, where my kids are living. Gonna exchange sand for snow!!!!!

I love mysteries, great thrillers, and anything by WEB Griffin. I love Karin Slaughter, Lee Child, Linda castillo (don't discount her books), Chris Mooney, and so many others. I have just read my first Baldacci book- loved it!

I love to tell people I am a "hooker". I hook primitive wool rugs!!!! I also love to cook and clean my house!!!!! Yes, I am a bit old fashioned, I suppose. Have a deep appreciation for "home".

Enjoying this group. Thanks Sean!!!!!

message 324: by Tim The Enchanter (new)

Tim The Enchanter | 397 comments Ter'e, I'm in my second Linda Castillo book. While the books are well written, there certainly is a lot if adult language and it's starting to grate on my nerves.

Hi Katie,

we have 3-4 books we are all reading through February and March, a list is on February Nominations post.

Doing this a little different here, as a few were nominated. In April we are going to let our authors on this site/group nominate a book of their own and again we will choose 3-4 if we can.

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Tim,
I just gloss over them. That fact does not stop me from enjoying the books. I read with blinders on, I think.

I've read Linda Castillo's first three Burkholder books, if memory serves correctly. I like them, they are quite graphic, but that's fine. Like the Amish angle, something a bit different. Got more of hers to read.

message 328: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Janet,
I really enjoyed the Burkholder series.......there are more books coming. Keep reading. Linda is on Goodreads and is very approachable. Such a delightful gal.

I read Jilliane Hoffman too.........so if you can get thru those graphic books, you can get thru anything.

I am ready Chris Moody's books right now and cannot put them down. Am 1/2 way thru Deviant Ways WOW. It sure keeps one on their toes!!!!!

I really liked the first one, but the second seemed to reexplain her past, allegiance to her heritage, reason for leaving, -to me that's the problem with serial books. Retelling what those who have read the first book already know. As far as violence, I have a pretty strong stomach (love Lee Child). I draw the line at animals and kids (view spoiler) too much for me

I don't mind the violence so long as it doesn't drift into "horror gore" territory. The second Burkholder book is a bit too emotional for my tastes. She is reliving her emotion when she was excommunicated. I really enjoy the series but am still put off by the swearing. In my opinion, the excessive use of adult language is a lazy method of expressing emotion. This simply allows the reader to infer emotion through swearing. Here I am complaining about swearing while I am quite fine with the death and torture....

Luca (LucaPesaro) | 8 comments Hi Gang,
I'm Luca, a native Italian who's been living in London for over twenty years. I've always loved thrillers, particularly the Ludlum, Grisham/Baldacci and Child type. Recently I've gotten hooked on Daniel Silva, but I also try and read some of my old loves - Fantasy and Science Fiction.
My debut conspiracy/action thriller Zero Alternative will be published April 25th, wish me luck and keep reading the good stuff!
