This list is a popularity contest. If the book does not have 100,000 ratings I will eventually delete it. However, I expect there are more nonfiction books on goodreads that I missed - so go forth and find them.

Oddly, that list seems to be incorrect in the number of ratings for several books. It says A Short History of Nearly Everything has 161,018 ratings, but when you go to the book's page, it has 94,468. What gives, Goodreads?

That's because it is actually showing the number of books shelved as the number of books rated. Seeing the number of books shelved AS a shelved number would be an interesting addition.

On the Road and The Shack are not nonfiction.

I checked again and Eat, Pray and Love is a non-fiction memoir. That said, it can be confusing to decide what is and what isn't non-fiction - I've definitely got it wrong at times.

I learn so much here.

I totally agree with On the Road being not non-fiction (haven't read The Shank) but so many people disagree... on other Listopia also.

So am I but I haven't done so, as so many people are convinced it is non-fiction... (I got into a discussion about it once and finally backed off because of the sheer number of people who thought of it as non-fiction). But as you are the creator of this Listopia...

Although I'm personally inclined to agree with you, a lot of people seem to have shelved it as non-fiction and the stories in the Little house series are (if I'm correctly informed) at least to some degree based on the author's own life. So I'm not removing it just now.
The Interestings, however, seems to be labeled as pure fiction, so I removed that one.
