No, it isn't :). You'd think people who were interested in Slavic lit wouldn't want to limit themselves to the north. Hopefully my comment will prompt someone to add Southern authors. No need to take it as criticism.
Lucky Teapot: I didn't take it as a criticism:) On the contrary, I admit you have a point there. Just a little provocation:) Let me know if you find something interesting from South. Good luck.
Ivo Andric, Mesa Selimovic, Dervis Susic, Radoje Domanovic, Milos Crnjanski, Danilo Kis, Miljenko Jergovic, Miroslav Krleza, Ranko Marinkovic, August Senoa.....
Just wondering: Lolita is considered one of the finest works of English language literature, can we really consider it 'Slavic' based on the author's birth place?
*looks at the tags* Czech, Russian, Polish? *goes to add the rest*eta: I got bored and didn't add all slavs.
How are Kafka's works Slavic? He was born in Prague but he was Jewish and wrote in German and as far as I know, his writing doesn't owe any particularities to Slavic literary tradition, AND Prague was at the time in the Austro-Hungarian empire.

Those who think Lolita is pro-pedophilia can't read
