We had that International one and I think Insiyah covered it. Unless this is a general thing because they do have sections within the Booker. I'm not fussed about mine if that's the case. Plenty more books to get through hahaha

I took that to be The Booker Prize. It's for English language novels not translations. The GR Booker list has books that aren't winners. I went to the Booker Prize website which is where I found The Sellout which won in 2016 and which I can read. Post 1955.

Chipmunks: Book 11 of a series. Poirot mystery series

Eldarwen has the free Chipmunk tasks on p1 of our thread. She only puts the completed books on the spreadsheet.
Dates don't matter for Chipmunks as long as they're started after the May 1st.

Talking to my husband about the Booker prize and how I’ve read quite a few and he produced
The Sellout
from one of our bookcases, which won in 2016. I’ll give it a shot for the Chipmunk task. Not an easy read he said.

Oh good! It’s been on my radar for ages and then last week it came up in discussion at my book group and one of those friends loaned it to me.

My planned upcoming July reads:
Jude the Obscure
Not Quite Straight: A Memoir
Wild Mountain Thyme
Rain Music
The Dictionary of Lost Words
A Darkness More Than Night

Not keen on the style and the start was patchy and a bit messy but the second half focussed itself, picked up and raced along.

Here I was planning to slow this down to finish in July but today is wet and cold so what else is there to do except read?

The square probably won't be as tricky as the end group of letters connection.
I'm planning on finishing Escape on July 1st so a title starting Escape From... or Cape of.... , or Ape of... would work hahaha

I wonder how we should kick off the Ladder and Square tasks that start with a book and connect with letters to another? No doubt Eldarwen will have it covered.

Oh well. I read a lot today. Too cold for my tennis friends to play today.

It was odd, wasn’t it? Was it just Aus do you think? Maybe the team missed it because they were asleep.

Who knew the cover art is a collectors thing?

All the Agatha Christie books have similar edition counts. Lots of translations.

Yes,
Three Act Tragedy no cover but this seems right. 418 editions to school through and not my cover.

I could read Harry Bosch series no 11 for the Chipmunks but it will be a little while before I get to it.
I'll check to see if I have Poirot no 11.
