When I compared the picture and the text passage I have in mind (at one point they mentioned the many different blades and other stuff the knife has - plus my favorite Victorinox looks similar to the picture on the bingo board) it's looking that way to me but wanted to verify with you before I go ahead and shuffle my books :-)

World Landmarks - The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Duration: 7/1/19 - 8/31/19
Compled: 13/7+
100+ pages, re-post when finished
1. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a famous landmark in Italy located in the Tuscan city of Pisa. It is actually the campanile or bell tower for the cathedral it stands next to and part of the Campo dei Miracoli or "Square of Miracles" that includes, the cathedral, the baptistery, the bell tower and cemetery. The entire Square was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
*Read a book with a tower or square object on the cover or read a book that takes place in Italy.
Polargebiete by various authors 3* 7/31 lit. transl: Polar Regions - at the bottom of the page are four square pictures
2. It took two centuries to build the tower. Construction started in 1173 and was not completed until 1372. Construction stopped and restarted twice due to the outbreak of war. Several different groups of engineers and architectures have worked on the tower but the original architect who created the plans has never been verified.
*Read a book in which war is a prominent theme or read a book that was written by more than one author.
Die fünf Menschen, die dir im Himmel begegnen=The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom 4* 8/1 - Vietnam war
Race Against Time by Kimberley Woodhouse & Kayla R. Woodhouse 3* 7/5
3. The tower is world famous for its prominent tilt which began as early as 1178, when construction of the second tier began and only grew worse as construction continued. The tower's foundation was built on soft subsoil which has difficulty supporting the tower's weight, creating its famous lean. To try and compensate for the tilt the engineers in 1272 built the upper floors with one side taller than the other giving the tower a slight curve.
*Read a book with a title that starts with a letter in TILT or read a book you thought was unusually heavy (tell us why).
Tall Man in Ray-Bans by Joseph Flynn 3* 7/3
Das Wunder der Unschuld=Pay It Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde 6* 7/8 - dysfuntional family life, disfigured war veteran, major spoiler (view spoiler)
4. The tower is eight stories high and made mostly of white marble which gives it is striking white color. The top floor is the bell chamber which can be reached by climbing 294 steps. There you will find seven bells, one sitting in each of the seven arches, the largest one weighing in at nearly 8,000 pounds. Each of the seven bells represent a note of the musical major scale.
*Read a book with a white cover or a series book #7 or #8.
Der Tod ist kein Gourmet=Wicked Words by J.G. Goodhind 3* 7/18 Honey Driver (ermittelt) #7

5. In 1990, when the Tower reached the inclination of 5°, engineers warned that its center of gravity was coming dangerously close to the outer edge of the base and the tower was in serious danger of falling. A massive rescue operation was launched and the tower was closed for "straightening works". It took 30 million EUR and an entire decade to correct the Tower’s lean to an acceptable inclination of 3.97°. The tower was reopened to the public in 2001.
*Read a book published between 1990 and 2001 or read a book that featured a major reconstruction project (tell us what it was).
Immortal in Death by J.D. Robb 5* 7/1 - orig. publication: 1996
Memory Man=Memory Man by David Baldacci 5* 7/20 - after a near fatal accident during his first NFL games the MC has to change his life in each area of his life - especially since his brain's working in a different way now
6. There are actually several other towers in Pisa that also lean: the bell towers at both St. Michele dei Scalzi and St. Nicola. The cathedral and baptistery in the square are also slowly sinking. It is no surprise to learn that the city of Pisa got its name in 600 BC from a Greek word meaning "marshy land".
*Read a book with a MC whose first name starts with a letter in PISA or read a book by an author that has the letters ST (intact) found in their name.
Going Once, Going Twice, Dead by Jerri Drennen 4* 7/12 - Simone Preston
ALPHA by Steven Konkoly 4* 8/30 - first name
7. The Italian scientist Galileo Galilei, a professor of mathematics at the University of Pisa, is said to have dropped two spheres of different masses from the tower to demonstrate that their speed of descent was independent of their mass. According to the story, he discovered that both objects fell with the same acceleration, disproving Aristotle's theory of gravity which states that objects fall at speed proportional to their mass. Though there is no evidence that this actually occurred and many call it a legend or wives tale.
*Read a book with a character that is a scientist or professor or read a book tagged NON-FICTION on its GR Homepage.
Rapture in Death by J.D. Robb 4* 7/14 - several scientists
While I'm Waiting: Going from despair to hope while praising God and choosing contentment during trials by Laura Hodges Poole 4* 8/14 (103 pages) - a devotional and per definition (usually Christian) non-fiction

Verführerische Täuschung=Delusion in Death by J.D. Robb 5* 6/1 - NYC

✓✓ 2. Designed by French architect and sculptor, Frederic Bartholdi, Liberty was gifted to the US by France to commemorate the centennial of the American Declaration of Independence. The tablet in her hand reads JULY IV MDCCLXXVI. He created a smaller replica for France which now stands on its own man-made island in the Seine.
*Read a book you received as a gift or read a book whose author's first or last name begins with F or B.
Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough by Kay Warren 6* 5/29

✓✓ 3. Construction of the statue began in France in 1875. It was then disassembled into 350 pieces and brought to the US in September of 1885 where the 89 foot pedestal was ready and waiting for it's lovely lady. A year later, assembly was completed and Lady Liberty was opened to the public on October 28, 1886.
*Read a book that was published in September or October or read a book that has at least 350 pages.
Drive=Drive by James Sallis 4* 5/11 - orig. publication: 9/1/05
Divorced, Desperate And Dating by Christie Craig 4* 5/10 - 369 pages
✓✓ 4. Made of copper sheeting over an iron frame, the statue arrived in the US looking like a shiny new penny. It took roughly 20 years for the oxidation to patina Liberty to the greenish-blue hue she is today.
*Read a book with a green or blue cover or read a book that starts with a letter in COPPER.

✓ 5. The seven spikes radiating from her crown are meant to be a halo of light known as an aureole. The number seven was chosen to represent the world's seven seas and continents. You can access the crown by climbing 354 steps inside the statue but it is strenuous and equivalent to climbing 20 stories.
*Read a series book #7 or read a book with a royal character that could wear a crown (tell us who).
Every Day Is a Holiday by George Mahood 3* 5/21 - Prince Charles visits their town and the author's wife goes to see him
✓✓ 6. The torch in the right hand of the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of enlightenment and was meant to enlighten the path to freedom. The original copper flame was replaced with 24 carat gold plating during a restoration project initiated by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.

The Long Way Home by Andrena Sawyer 4* 5/26 - FMC's self-esteem, relationship with her father, inner healing as well as the building she buys for her community program

For a period of sixteen years, the nine arc lamps originally placed in the torch allowed the Statue of Liberty to function as a lighthouse and during that time the statue was under the operation of the Lighthouse Board. But it wasn't as functional as they hoped and the cost soon outweighed its effectiveness. In 1924 it was declared a National Monument and operation of the statue was transferred to the National Park Service.
