Thank you!
After abandoning two books for this task I got so fed up with I wanted it just done and hoped I could use a book I liked (despite it beeing a genre I really don't like). Now it takes longer than I wish but that's fine (or at least I have to accept a dissapointment from time to time) especially since I'm reading a book I can use for a different gold-task (even if it will take a while) and it's rather likely I find something with a gun on cover even sooner and that will work as well.
Oct 19, 2018 07:36AM

264322 Jan, I thought about Der Marsianer=The Martian by Andy Weir for gold 8. Read a book with a word in the title that refers to the sky in some way (i.e : sky, light, dark, stars, sun, moon, etc.) but wanted to double-check if you'd accept it as well :-)

Thank you and that's what I feared but it gives me more incentive to read the book I originally planned for this task and that I need for some other challenges as well :-)
Oct 03, 2018 04:28AM

264322 I have another question :-)
Read a book tagged ... on its GR Homepage - do you mean the main page genre (MPG) or the tags hidden behind the See top shelves… link as well?

For example: Since the vision and the psychic helping solve the crime have such a prominent role in Tanz mit dem Tod=Visions in Death it's even part of the original title (and it's tagged paranormal (PN) though on the second page only :-( - but not MPG) I would regard this book PN could I use it for the task '...a book tagged PARANORMAL..'?

Thank you for clarification and cover approval :-)

264322 Jen,
I have two questions:

2. SEDLEC OSSUARY, CZECH REPUBLIC
◆ Read a book with a cemetery or bones of any kind on the cover - Would this cover A Deadly Blessing (LAPD Detective Maddie Divine #1) by Kathy Bennett work?

6. MACHINES OF THE ISLE, FRANCE
◆ Read a book with a character who is an inventor or is mechanical (tell us who) - Did you mean mechanic or mechanical artist instead of mechanical? If you meant mechanical - had you a machine/robot character in mind?
Sep 29, 2018 12:46PM

264322 I'll give it a try - I don't like all the spooky and creepy stuff - still the challenge looks doable for me :-)

264322 I have some questions (again *grins*). All three pertain to the TAN part:

2. Read the book on your TBR with the 2nd highest rating. - I have several books with a 5.0 rating (between 1 and 15 ratings) so do I read the second book on my list rated 5.0 or the first below 5.0? Does the 100+ pages rule apply here as well (my first book below 5.0 is 33 pages only)?

3. Read a half step series book (i.e 1.5) or a book with an indigenous character. - Does this task include prequels = #0.5 or other between the numbers books (sometimes they are .4 or .6 or .25 ...) as well?

8. Read a book with double LL in the title or author’s name. - Do they have to be consecutive or would any title/name with two Ls work?
