Stacey, first I would need to know what your reading preferences are to recommend just one.

If you like historical romances, then I would recommend A Vote of Confidence (first book in the Sisters of Bethlehem Springs series).

If you like contemporary romances, then I would recommend Love Without End (first book in the Kings Meadow Romance series).

If you like women's fiction, then I would recommend A Promise Kept or Ribbon of Years.

I hope that's some help.

That's a hard question. My characters become very real, very individual people in my mind, so even when they are like me, they are more like themselves, if that makes any sense.

I put a lot of my own experiences into Allison (A Promise Kept) and Deborah (Beyond the Shadows) and Claire (The Forgiving Hour). And I think Cleo (Fit to Be Tied) has some of my quirky sense of humor and stubbornness. And I adore Katie (Catching Katie) because I love her spirit. I hope I have some of that without having some of her tendencies to march headlong into trouble.

I have been a follower of Christ for over 41 years. I was passionate about His written word from Day 1. One wonderful spiritual discipline is to write out Scripture. It seems to go deeper when I take the time to write it down in my own hand.

In June, I saw a YouTube video about the One Book July 2017 challenge. In the planner community, there are more types of books and planners...
