222868 I dont know if anyone else reads this series, but A Reflection of Shadows stands alone pretty well and has a bit of a London Steampunk vibe. I thought this one was good, a lady cat burglar and a spy who is also a doctor - the author has a medical researcher background so there is a bit of science in the background story that goes with the romance.

222868 Wow, the new chronicle of St Mary's Hope for the Best is quite a rollicking ride! I really loved these in audio.

222868 I just finished an ARC of The Austen Playbook - I quite enjoy this series - some of you here turned me on to London Celebrities. I just adored how hard the icy hero fell for the cheery heroine, the depth of his feelings was quite sweet.

222868 Happy - glad you're not needing the blacklight anymore - have to tell you that after dealing with everything I am rethinking my position of being a cat person, or a pet person at all - so I can't imagine how you managed.

Thanks for the good wishes, we are so close - the house is staged and goes on the market this week, fingers crossed that it goes quickly. The kids are doing good, both of them should have a year left after finishing their terms and the youngest who is a Computer Science major has a summer internship in town.

If you are mopping take care not to spread the mess under cabinets, which is what out tenant did in their "attempt" to clean up.

If you end up having to remove flooring or repairing cabinets, once you get down to the last faint bit of smell, seal the underlayment or cabinet with a shellac based finish or paint with shellac in it - this will encapsulate the odor.

It is important when using the odor killing products to get all the mess out, to help find it and check your progress, use a black light at night time it makes the mess glow.

222868 I've been super busy getting my parent's house ready to sell. With renters who left behind major damage due to a pet they weren't supposed to have on top of the normal wear and tear, this month has been testing all of my handyman skills at the side of my hubby who can fix anything. I am going to be so happy to close out the trust - if we can ever pull everything together to get it on the market - my sisters haven't been bad but the trustee job is a real pain in the you know where.

My reading has been very light fare New Orleans Rush a cute romance between a grumpy stage magician and a quirky ray of sunshine artist and in audio Gimme Some Sugar - Molly Harper books are always fun.

222868 I finished Grave Destiny in audio and quite enjoyed it, I hope the next book isn't such a long wait. The series is heading in a different direction from where it began, but I am ok with it.

I also read all three parts of the latest Penny Reid Laws of Physics and also enjoyed them - though I thought the jump into the smexy stuff didn't happen quite right. There are bunches of references to characters from the author's other series (Marie from knitting in the city is the H's sister) - so that was fun

222868 I am still enjoying this series, i just read Demon Magic and a Martini- lots of action, and I like the friendship foursome and am quite glad it is not a reverse harem which doesnt appeal to me (though I am shipping one of the friend for a love interest)

222868 I've been reading this and that
The Dark of Twilight - was set in new orleans at the time of Katrina and was pretty good - though the resolution was quick

Currently working through London Celebrities Collection - it was on sale and others here mentioned it, turns out I'd read the first already and didn't realize until the end, but still liked it. And also enjoyed the second, so on to number three

222868 I finished Wild Country in audio, I liked it better than the last one too, I wished the wrap up at the end had been a little less abrupt though - especially if this is the last book.

I also finished A Darkness Absolute, the second in Kelley Armstrong's Rockton series, it is set in an off the grid alaskan town where all the citizens are hiding from something in the real world, including the lead who was formerly a big city homicide detective and who now plies her skills in the town. I liked this and her love interest is a another one of the author's interesting, off center males, which adds an interesting dynamic to the relationship and a vulnerability to the grumpy, tough male lead.

The next two have Sarah - the cuckoo - in the lead. I really can't imagine what is going to be like having her in the lead.

222868 I just finished That Ain’t Witchcraft Incryptid book 8(?). It was a good one- Annie in the lead again. And there was a short Alex and Shelby story included in the Kindle version as well.
