222868 I found a new to me UF series that is worth mentioning, Cunning Devil is the first book, it has a male folkwitch/cunning man in the lead in a world with magic and otherworldly creatures like goblins, hags, vampires. There are three in the series so far and the first two were decent, plus they are KU

222868 Penny Reid fans Kissing Galileo which has been a serial in her newsletter is out now. The book has extra stuff so was worth it - his POV and more development to the friendship:) I liked it - vulnerable smart hot guys are a plus for me - and the heroine has some good lay it on the line moments.

222868 Hilariously Ever After is currently free and has Truth or Beard and Shopping For Billionaire which have been mentioned here before along with several others including Miss Fix It which I thought was cute and which kept me smiling.

222868 Wow, no new posts today? I spent my morning at the DMV, they are swamped now since CA driver licenses didn't meet federal standards or such and everyone has to get a new one if they want to be able to get on a plane next year. I needed to renew before my bday next month. So it was busy, but they were handling things well - going through the lines and making sure people had all the required paperwork without having us find out after standing in line for an hour and a half.

I am still hunting down reality show romance, I am sure I will burn out on them soon. Today's was not as good as some of the others - the contestant hooking up with the judge irritated me even though I liked the cooking show parts Some like It Spicy

222868 Still on my reality show romance kick I've read 5 books in this series
Games series by Jessica Clare (who wrote paranormals I think as Jill Myles ). Some are sexier than others - I tend to skim those parts but all the scheming and challenges are fun. These are all KU.

Did you guys see that the new Keri Arthur book Burn in the Unlit series is out.

222868 I am finally done with the sale of my parent's house, it sold after the first weekend and closed in three weeks - with two stressful last minute snags which fortunately only delayed closing one day. Yay! Now I only have the final taxes at the end of the year and I will be finally free of the trustee job. I am happy with the buyers we chose, we didn't take the highest offer but took the safest one. But i knew we picked the right one when we found out that the wife is an avid gardener - that was my mom's passion, she was always weeding, planting or making new plants from cuttings to give away - I think mom would have liked the new owners.

So now that is done,I have time to read again and I am on a reality show romance kick - it's amazing how many KUs there are with that theme. Seven Exes Are Eight Too Many was a cute one. The heroine thinks she going to be on a show like the Bachelorette, but she discovers that all the guys are ex boyfriends and they will all be with her as a team completing in a Survior-like competition on a deserted island against a team composed of another ex and his ex girlfriends.

Grier growns into her role as time goes on, she is pretty traumatized by her time in prison in the first book. and I like the other side characters who become part of her crew over the next books too.

222868 Arrgh, i want to read Wolf Rain but I hate the kindle price. Normally I'd just do a pricey book like this in audio, but I just don't like her books in audio - she is just so adjective heavy which isn't as noticable in print but is harder to ignore in audio.

Bride Test was in the audible romance package ( so free with the subscription) if you do that.

222868 I just finished listening to two contemp romances and enjoyed them both. The Bride Test - by the kiss quotient author - it had a leading man with autism and a very steamy buildup to the sexy parts, there was a wee bit much insecurity based inner dialog from the Vietnamese country girl heroine, but still good as she turns his life upside down. And Walk of Shame - which pairs a divorce lawyer and a party girl, and references - and seems inspired by the movie enchanted - again a heroine who brings sparkle to a very controlled hero's life.

222868 These were recs on the kindle ad screen Harley Merlin and the Secret Coven and decent YAish mysteries with magic and a team who become friends with some secret crushes among them - after the first book some of the other girls in the group alternate POVs with Harley, which was interesting. These are KU - free is good.

222868 Well I gave The Lies of Locke Lamora one more try and still couldn't get into it, the heist set up was sort of interesting but I couldn't connect with Locke in the role he was playing - I needed to get to know him and his gang first I guess.

I am enjoying Storm Cursed in audio now though
