I finished
Dreamer's Pool, i started this in audio but finished it on kindle - the pacing of the story just felt slow in audio so it worked better when I switched. I liked all three of the leads - and I did like all three narrators but I think I would have preferred just one to even out the audio a bit. I bought the next two in audio on sale so I will be giving that another shot.
The story was interesting but the ending for Oran's thread was a bit... Unsatisfying. Do we get just a bit more him in the next book? I loved Grim.

I read the new nocturne falls world christmas collection
Merry & Bright: A Christmas Anthology, 9 stories I think. Most weren't as good as Painter's Nocturnes, but I liked two: one with a fairy and elf playing pranks and another with a Russian werewolf and a winter elf.

Happy bday from me too:) was it yesterday or today? ( yesterday was my hubbies b day, it would be funny if you were both born the exact day/year:)

Laini Taylor wrote it. I did like her Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. I guess what..."Sorry I am late with this. This wasn't super YA, more fantasy. I liked it but definite Cliffhanger and Taylor doesn't make it easy to envision
HEAs for her pairs.

Quiet day here - is everyone already traveling? I started my Thanksgiving prep, cooking for the first time since my mom's stroke five years ago. i decided to do a few side dishes a day to keep things mellow the day of.
I am listening to Dreamer's Pool while I don't mind the different reader for the prince, the switch between Grimm and Blackthorn readers - since they both do the other- is sort of jarring. I love the Grimm reader's voice for Grimm but it is so different from what the other readers do for Grimm.

I started the first blackthorne and grimm in audio - vanessa recd it I think. The multiple readers is sort of intersesting so far.

I am a bit behind you all but I am finally listening to Twelfth Grave - I find these more amusing in audio. (I still wish she'd leave mentions Danger and Will Robinson out of the smexy times, I've watched Lost in Space as a kid and always think of freckled Will and Robot which is a mood killer)
My previous audio was
Dead Man which I got on some sale way back when - resurrected Necromancer, with a bit of voodoo and such, it was very slow to start but got more interesting at the end. Don't know that I'd spend a full credit on another - the reader was more on the okish side

Mindy it might be that you are using the mobile version of good reads - only the comment box appears at the bottom of the post as you described. You can switch to the desktop version by clicking the menu which is three horizontal lines in the upper left of the top of the page and then choosing mobile. From desktop you can get back to mobile by clicking the go back mobile in the bottom right in the page footer.

Lulu - that was the one. It will be nice to see a bit of everyone's HEA. She said it would probably be a newsletter thing. I like all three of her series. And I am looking forward to the spin off to the Bound series, she said another trilogy - I am guessing the incubus will be the next lead after the magician.

I just finished
Midnight Labyrinth, it's the start of a Ben and Tenzin series, I liked it a lot. Ben has really grown up and I like his interplay with Tenzin - actually I liked Tenzin's interactions with just about everyone, she's weirdly violently great. There was a good addition to the cast in Ben's former high school girl friend and a nice budding romance on the side. This one was the search for a missing painting and the next a hunt for pirate treasure, which should be fun.

I just finished the last Hellequin book ( it's the end of an ARC not the end of the Nate books) I liked the split narration between Nate and he who can't be mentioned without spoilers to earlier books. These books are all KU and good if you like wisecracking UF guys like, Dresden, John Charming or Alex Verus. These are good in audio too.

I picked
The Turn: The Hollows Begins with Death back up, I'd set the audio aside because I was looking for an escape and it was stressing me out waiting for the bad thing any Hollows fan knew was coming. I am enjoying it now, but it is sad now tgat the shoe has dropped.

So far I finished bk one Burn for Me and am on White Hot.
I found I had forgotten ..."Andrews' books are great for that:)

I saw Grace Draven's new novella mentioned on Ilona Andrew's blog -
Sunday's Child So of course clicked. It's a lovely holiday story and there's an additional bonus short that I am off to read now. Happy weekend all:)

ha ha so you do know me...." yep:)
Did it work?

To add a shelf (and be able to change to exclusive at the same time) go to "my books" and click edit near bookshelves on the top left

Soulbound, it was a good wrap up to the trilogy and a good handling of the final brother Sebastien - his move toward being able to finally handle a little hope was good, a d his herione was surprisingly strong despite her sweetness. The ending leaves room for an upcoming spinoff - both future leads are promising. My only nit with this one was a sex scene shoehorned into the epilog - which would have been stronger without it.

I just finished an ARC of
Shades of Memory it's book 4 or so of Diana Pharoah Francis' Diamond City series. It's not stand alone but it was really good, lots of action and twists and turns and a ending that has me looking forward to the next. It's Uf. You guys got me to give the series a try because of all your recs for her Horngate Witches books. I may have to go back and dig those out of the pile now.
I am also really liking
Perdition in audio, apparently one of the main characters was from the Syrantha Jax series but I only read the first book a really long time ago so I don't remember him.
Since I finished my kindle book I am going to start the new McMaster book
Soulbound.
