222868 I finished Wait for It I liked it, but it was a little more standard fare than the others. It was nice to see Diana get her act together (very sad that her brother died) and it was nice to see cameos of Vanessa, Aidan and their babe and of Sal and Rey.

It really was. I think that's what I really like about her books there's always a moment that is just so sweet.

222868 I finished Kulti and the ending, as always was good. He sure was a bipolar little prickly pear though, it is lucky that Sal was so good at reading micro body language and calling him out on his snitiness. I think this one was harder for me though since her relationship with him pulls her life apart until the epilog, where in the other books the relationship pulls the h's life together during the story.

I borrowed another, can't remember which one - though i am interested in the tatoo parlor one cause i am thinking the cameo in Kulti was from that one.

222868 I really enjoyed Wall of Winnepeg. What a sweet ending. Loved that slow burn and the friendship that grew into love.

Thanks LAB and Demi I will definitely check out more from Zapata.

The Starstrucked one looks good too:)

222868 I think that someone (Demi) rec'd From Lukov with Love and I -even with my broken book funny bone - laughed out loud at parts. I thought the slow transition from enemies to friends to lovers was done well, as was the growth in the leading lady. And the figure skating background was timely (olympics). My only nit was that they seemed younger than 26 and 30 but I guess with them growing up on the ice and not havening much time for social interaction between the hours of skating practice, weight training, ballet lessons and such would account for that.

So thanks for the rec, I enjoyed it. i will probably try some of the author's other books since they are KU too.

222868 I feel like Miss Negativity lately, but... I finished Vengeance in Death and it was interesting but I had two major issues. First is that Eve who has been so straight and by the book really bends things in the investigation to try and keep Roarke's secrets and second, it is hard not to change how I am supposed to view Roarke -as the man he has made himself and the man he is with Eve- when there are strong parallels between him and the killer both killing to avenge a wrong and the brutality of the deaths . I have two more to go in my audio marathon.

I also read Gregori first in a series with Russian dragon shifter brothers - this should have been a slam dunk for me --dragon shifters! But I found myself skimming and thought that both the H and h were sort of stupid about quite a few things. Kidnapping, her secret in relation to his people and the book that brings them together. Too bad since there are two more brothers.

I liked it too, the tarot readings were a nice touch and i like that family is so much a theme in this book - my only nit was the kink(view spoiler). Though the rest of the story makes up for it. Its nice that these are KU. I like the new zealand flavor and touches of the NZ cultures in these too

222868 I am continuing my in death listen-athon, i did Rapture in Death and Ceremony in Death and am on to Vengeance in Death they are quite interesting and following an established cast is nice but I am getting kind of depressed - I think I need to do some light and fluffy things with a hea.

222868 I finished two the early "In death" books in audio, they were pretty good. I was cleaning out my audio TBR and they've been there a while since the thought of actually starting a series with 45 books is daunting. I have a few more of the early books on kindle and was surprised when I looked for the whispersyncs (because TBR piles of any kind demand their eqilibrium be maintained) that the audios I do have and the next 20 or so aren't currently available from audible - weird.

222868 Becoming A Vincent was kooky cute, reminded me a bit of Penny Reed's Winston Brothers series - although the Winstons rock their beards:)

I like melissa olsen too - they are good in audio too. I thought she really hit her stride a couple books in and like that she pulls together threads from both series and the shorts, which make the world feel bigger

222868 I discovered i'd missed one of the celta heartmate books Heart Legacy, probably because 9.99 is a price pain point for me for kindle. So i did this in audio which was a mistake. The male reader's performance of the female lead didn't work for me - i did like his voice for her famcat - and the slower pace of audio highlighted the clunkiness of the love scenes and dialog and plodding plot. (view spoiler)
