Victoria..."Thanks so much for the
Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating rec - this was a great friends to lovers story and I loved loved Hazel, she was a bundle of wacky vibrant awesome sauce.
I also really enjoyed
Love and Other Words which calmer but also really good.

I got a fintie case for my fire and I do not recommend it. the corners which hold the bottom of the cover to the kindle cracked off within a week or so - I didn't still have the packing to return it so I had to use duct tape across the corners to keep the kindle in the cover (and i had already pitched my old one) on top of that, the old kindle cover caused the fire to sleep when the cover closed and the fintie doesn't

The JT Geissinger recs lead me to this other book by her that has a bit of woo woo to it
Midnight Valentine - it's free on KU

I liked Melt For You, but the next one was tougher for me - the heroine was just so verbally nasty to the leading man from the very first time they met that it was hard to see why he would fall for her - she is sympathetic despite that somehow because of just how bad the series of unfortunate events that is her life was.

Thanks doug and shannon to for your recs. I appreciated everyone taking the time to post.

I was thinking they might be sexier than the others you mentioned.

Melt for You a shot and quite liked it. I added the book after Bittersweet to try as well.

Hey everybody:)
I am in need of a romance fix, I am looking for a good contemporary romance with a hero that is not an overbearing alpha type - i love friends to lovers or other such where the balance of power is not skewed - preferrably with more story than sex. I am not fond of historicals in general, but historical to mean me those regencies with lengthy descriptions of clothing and giving into passion risks utter ruin.

I finished the last Charlie Davidson in audio, I agree the ending was odd.. I look forward to Beep's army books
Just started the new Elantra book in audio.

I just read a great short for a new Bec McMaster's trilogy - Thief of Dreams - its in a fantasy anthology
Of Thrones and Crowns: An Anthology of Fantasy Standalones. If any of the other stories are good it will just be icing on the cake

I finally finished
Muse of Nightmares in audio - not that it wasn't good but it took me a long time because parts were stressful and work and non work is hectic lately. There are a few places in the story where I didn't see how the characters were going to make it through. I am pretty sure this finishes off the series, but a thread was spun at the end that could easily be a spin off. Laini Taylor's writing is very beautiful at times -the images she paints ...

The other series sounded creepy though - maybe a bit of Horror...?

HappyBookWorm2020 wrote: "I can't remember if I posted about this contemporary book I read earlier this week..."I like this series too - set in New Zealand with rugby players in the lead - in Just Come Over the kids and the adults were all great.

I finally finished all the St Mary's books and shorts - almost all in audio, they are fun in audio. liked all of them but the last christmas short was odd. I am going to miss being immersed in the world. Now what? I guess Charlie.

I hope whatever everyone is reading is grand:) I am now working my way through the Chronicle's of St. Mary's in audio - which should also be known as Max and Markham's misadventures through history - I am getting quite a kick out them.
I have completely lost track of new releases am doing series binges.

Here's the place to look for or offer up kindle lendable ebooks. As a suggestion, you might want to us the private message feature to directly provide your email to the lender.

I finished my Haley Edwards Black Dog and spinoffs and short stories marathon, I thought they were a pretty decent KU find. I wish she'd write stories for two characters she left in need of HEAs, but she has two newer series going so that ship may have sailed.
So now I need to find my next 'fix' :)
