We'll read Big Little Lies during the same week.

I've a lot more problems with the "read this book, it's a very important one (= boring classic) and stop reading silly stuff (= adventure, magic, etc)". Most adults don't like reading and prefer watching tv, I think we can blame school and close-minded parents for this.
When I baby-sit, the "if you continue, I won't read a book" is very efficient, even the TV can't win against books :D

I've absolutely no problem with series, but only when they are finished, if the books are not fully independent. I was traumatized by The Dark Tower by Stephen King: I started it in 1994 so there were only 3 books, the 4th came in 1997 and after this I spent 6 years waiting for a potentiel sequel x__x During 6 years, my friends and me were hopping that King won't die so he could finish the series ^^;
I started dystopia by Niourk, when I was maybe 8-9 years old (my mom has strange tastes :p). If you ask me what book I liked the most in school, I can tell you immediately it's Ravage by Barjavel (summary starts by "Paris 2052"). So well, I'm a dystopian freak, it's my fav genre since forever and I'm so happy that dystopian books are raining from everywhere :)
I read some vampire books when I was younger, same for robots with old SF, and there are zombies books in my to-read list. Angels are a no way because I really don't like religion in books, it drives me away from the story.
I watch sometimes popular trends to find new books, but I choose only the ones with a summary which interests me.

With bad books you can have good ratings from people who enjoyed the very well done bad story for example. Choice is not easy.
I found 2 awesome horror books, look at the summaries (and the titles):
The Woods Are Dark
"In the woods are six dead trees. The killing trees. That's where they take them. People like Neala and her friend Sherri, and the Dills family. Innocent travellers on vacation, seized and bound, stripped of their valuables and shackled to the trees to wait. In the woods. In the dark."
Slugs
"They slime, they ooze, they kill..... a novel of mid shattering horror, and a new breed of slime ridden, oozing slugs lurking in the waist-high grass, developing a taste for new things..... for blood, for flesh.. human flesh! "
The 2 are around 200 pages. Slugs is a little old so I'm not sure there is an ebook, The Woods has one.

For the bad reviews week, I want a book which is pretty much like an horror movie. I want stereotyped characters, predictable development and hilarious monster (not like in "funny" but more like cheesy). So I'll do a one chapter at the time and I'll try to predict what will happen next (I like doing that with horror movies :p). I'm not sure I'll succeed to find my book :D

If I'm bored reading a romance book, I'll use your recipe. Maybe the characters will be controlled by aliens or something like this ^^ I'll add some robot voices for the discussions, it could improve them a lot.

If yes, maybe you're allowed to post only one book, but I'm not sure (never used this feature before).
You can create a plan for all your list in 2015 Plans https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
You can create new threads for each of your books on the week folders (if you're reading Windy for 500+ book, you'll add it in the week 1 folder using the "new topic" link you'll find on the right-top corner). Verify if someone didn't add the same book in the same week, before posting a new one (with the "search discussion post" on the right). If it's not the same week, you can create a new one.
I hope this tiny assistance will help you, if you need more, send me a message ;)

We mostly read one book per week, but if it's too challenging for you, you can check several weeks with one book ;)

Maybe you could have a look at the graphic novels by Eric Shanower, the graphics are beautiful and they kept the original stories.

I don't know what to choose for the True Story. I'm not fully interested by the "I tell you all about my life" or depressing stories. In this category, I read Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster which was really interesting with the different points of view. I'll try to find something like this, maybe about racial segregation in the US.
I didn't decided what to read for the book you didn't read in school as I read all of them. I have to look at the classic english books.
Hometown will be impossible, so I'll go for one about the local myths if I can find one or I'll read a story happening in France.
No idea for the book with bad reviews.
I'll add the other books later, I'll choose them just before the weeks as they won't be difficult to find :)
---
I decided to add the cover if I'm reading the book or if I finished it (except cover book week). I'll check the read books and add my rating under the cover.
---
Added: book recommended by a friend, non-fiction (one of my bookcase I've to finish), book by an author under 30, books turned into a tv show (I'll read the series during the year), place I want to visit (I'd to put Peter somewhere as I want to read it in english, it fits very well there :p).
Changed: the funny book.
Moved: Stargirl from "one word" to "high school".

Anyway good idea to read a picture book for this one, it will be short :D

The Darkest Minds (superpowers)
This is Not a Test (zombies + abused hero)
Vicious (superpowers)
Within (short thriller)
Pretty in Black (vampires)
Doors (magical door)
Divergent (dystopia)
Arson (fire superpower)
The Book of Wonders (magic)
Arrival (saving the Earth)
The Becoming (zombies)

Who watch Sherlock on BBC One? I like it a lot :)
