Don't worry, I started this book 2 years ago, so it tells all about how I want to read the next ones ;)I saw the 1st season of the tv show before starting the books, I think it adds a lot to why I like Tyrion.
Asha has a great personality in this book :)
Yes, no problem if you started the book before 2015, several of us are doing the same, it's not easy for everyone to find time to finish a 500+ book in a week :)

Ah interesting! I didn't choose my non-fiction book (week 14) and some London story could be a nice choice as I like this city and the stories which happen in the old London :)
Yes, you have to read a romance. If not, you'll finish the year thinking "oh no, I'm soooo sad, I didn't read the romance, so somehow, I didn't really complete the challenge". I'm sure the guilt and deception will be very heavy to you :pI usually don't read romances, because reading about twinkles and butterflies is a little boring/creepy, but sometimes I jump for one (same for the movies) and find it comforting (like eating chocolate?). Maybe you'll like it and you'll read 200 romances and... ok, I need to stop being scary :D
Choose a short one, so the pain will last quickly.
I was all "ah finally he has posted his plan" and just after "ok, there are only 3 books, I'm overrating this thread" :pHave fun adding/choosing the others :)
I've the books 3 & 4 but I don't think I'll read them this year (Peter just discouraged me more with his "slower and longer", I've enough of that with the 2nd :p).I finished 2 chapters, next one is about Jon, one of my 3 favorite characters, so it will help a little.
I like Jon for the danger and the fantasy, Arya for the adventure and the revenge, and Tyrion for the humor and cleverness.
Who are your favorite characters? :)
Scotland is awesome, green and beautiful. People are really friendly but there are evil midges which are really not friendly :pI like reading (obviously), taking photos, going to the ocean, travelling and exploring green places. I like writing too and I'm not bad at it but for the moment my brain is unable to produce some interesting story.
I cry easily when I watch movies or tv shows, but it doesn't happen a lot with books. My plan is to peel some onion when reading to complete fully this week :p (ok this is the worst suggestion ever! But crying about something is so personal. You have to look to what can touch your sensitive points and find a book with it).
The Disney movie is more about magic and adventure, when the book gives at some point a society analysis (for example, the characters are not all gentle and friendly and there's a price to live in Neverland). The 1924 & 2003 movies are more about the original story, but the Disney is a nice way to discover Neverland (with flat characters...).After reading the book, if you have some time, watch the Disney again and tell me what you think about it :)
I didn't know the writer of How to kill a mockingbird is a woman! It doesn't matter but well, I thought it was a man.Yey Peter Pan, my fav ^^ I hope you'll like it. I'll read it again for sure this year, but in english :)
Luisa, I agree with you about Newt. His personnality made him a sweet character and he's close to what I think a friend must be. I'm not really fan of Minho, but he seems a deep character, so it's interesting to follow him.Bruno, the Ender's game sequels are really not sequels. They are more philosophical essays, so when you're looking for action, you're a little lost. Anyway, they are a solid read on the colonization topic and I thought a lot about how people react when I read them. Maybe 'bad' sequels, but good standalones!
I'm already at 75% for this one as I started it before I saw the reading challenge. You can join the week #3 thread, someone who liked the book is welcomed (I'm more on the hater board, but I'm enjoying to discuss it so far). I'm curious about The Scorch Trials, so I'm happy someone will read it :)
I'm pretty sure I'll choose Jobs, the other will be more difficult to find :)I was happy to find Big Little Lies, it seems a good book. Amanda is reading it for week #4 so we'll know if it's a good choice.
I just added the color book. I hope some people join me, as there is a lot of interest for The Color Purple but not so many other titles :D
Yes, if you like Wool, you'll want to read Shift and Dust for sure. The 2nd explain why silos exist (it's an interesting prequel) and the 3rd is the about Wool/Shift heroes and ends the story :)Haha poor Bruno :D I read them one after another, couldn't resist to learn the why and then!
Feel free to pick all the books you want, it's a pleasure to share book opinions :) (as a friendly advice, you can add The Giver to your reading list :p).
How can the characters be more inconsistent? :OI don't know about the next books, maybe if I'm bored or if the ending of this one is really good (I don't think they all die, so the author already spoiled the end :p), I'll read them.
I agree about the entertaining part, even if The Giver or Ender's Game are a lot more entertaining and have stronger stories and characters.
Luisa > who do you want to save? :)
