The 51 Most Read Books of the 2021 Goodreads Reading Challenge

We’ve gathered below the 51 most read books of the 2021 Goodreads Reading Challenge, as determined by which titles readers have marked off as “read.” (We take your word on these things.) These are titles generally categorized as adult books—YA is a whole other interesting story—and it’s amazing to see the sheer variety and range of it all.
This year’s list features old classics like The Great Gatsby and Wuthering Heights, modern classics like Where the Crawdads Sing and Mexican Gothic, and a constellation of literary fiction, mystery, romance and biography. It’s encouraging to see a strong showing this year from books about mindfulness and mutual support. Plus Agatha Christie, of course.

I’ve read 15 on this list and almost all are on my want to read list. Great list and hope to get through most of this list within the next year.
I've read 12, also not all this year. Some read for one of the two book clubs I belong to. I am currently reading The Lost Apothecary.
I am glad I read anxious peopleAnxious Peopleafter that i read Britt-Marie Was Here and was not disappointed.
Backman style of writing is very very interesting.
I have read 5 books on this list but none of them were this year, 2021. In fact most of them were read last year in 2020. There are a number of books on this list that I do want to read, but they will have to wait until I can afford to purchase them.
Some of my favorites this year include: Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind them All, A Christmas Carol, The Hazel Wood, Six of Crows and A Sky Beyond the Storm.
