Red, White & Royal Blue
A big-hearted romantic comedy in which the First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales after an incident of international proportions forces them to pretend to be best friends...
First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz is the closest thing to a prince this side of the Atlantic. With his intrepid sister and the Veep’s genius granddaughter, they’re the White House Trio, a beau...more

Red, White & Royal Blue is a story lit up like a beacon to the weary and the lost. My heart still swells with so much delight. The notion of memory simply fails to adequately capture the sensation. I know the words but none of them really encompass the feeling of deep contentment, mixed with the kind of frustration one feels at waking from a sweet dream. I promise you that what memories you will keep of this story will warm y ...more

“Is it possible you willfully forgot about the biggest international event of the year because you don’t want to see your arch nemesis?”
I honestly do not think that any book has made me happier than Red, White & Royal Blue, ever. I laughed, I swooned, I cried, but, most importantly, I finished the last page and felt such a powerful amount o ...more

Not gonna lie, I woke up, cried in the shower about this book, cried on the way home from Rosalie's vet appointment, then cried again while filming a vlog clip about how much I loved this book. I don't doubt I'll cry typing this review.
I adored this book. So. Much.

My heart is so entirely full, it's nearly overflowing. This book was in a word; matchless. I laughed, I loved, I cried but mostly loved every beautiful little thing that led up to the last page. Now, having finished, I wish for nothing more but to go all the way back to the beginning and start again. As readers, sometimes -very rarely- you come across a book that quintessentially becomes a mantra, a new sense of hope and a burst of som ...more
To be honest, I wasn't expecting to love Red, White & Royal Blue. I mean, this is Casey McQuiston's first book, and it's written in present tense (ugh), but love it I did. I loved it HARD.
Red, White & Royal Blue was everything I was looking for and more.
My reading experience was simply me laughing, crying, or swooning in a continuous cycle. Sometimes all three at once. It's been a long, long time since I've wanted to melt into a puddle of goo on the floor because the roma ...more
Mis nuevos hijos adoptivos, Alex y Henry.
Pronto intentaré escribir una reseña real, por ahora solo deben saber que fue un libro lleno de esperanza (y que simplemente NO LO PUDE SOLTAR, adictivo af).
But the truth is, also, simply this: love is indomitable.”
It’s been a while since I’ve read a debut novel that was THIS GOOD. I foresee this book being one of my very top favorites of the year, I loved it that much! This is a story about the first son, Alex and the Prince of England, Henry. They aren’t friends, in fact, they hate each other. Enemies to lovers… I’m always here for it! I seriously could not have loved this book more. It was perfection.
Let’s start with Alex. Alex’s mo ...more

Wow, this book was EVEN BETTER than I had dared hope. : )
I'd initially held off on requesting this book until early reviews hit Goodreads because:
1.) Royal*anything* usually bores me to tears.
2.) So do books involving politics of any shape or form.
But this story was a delicious mix of drama, angst, excitement and, most importantly, hope.
I loved both First ...more
Alex, the First Son, has one arch-nemesis: Prince Henry of England, the Crown’s golden boy. After their long-held feud escalates to a disaster at the Royal Wedding, the two are forced to fake a friendship in the spotlight to smooth international relations, and it’s going to be absolutely terrible. After all, Alex hates Henry! … doesn’t he?
Okay, look, I don’t even know how to start this review so I’m just going to apologize in advance for my fangirling, because honestly, it’s really just NOT fa ...more

Oh. My. God. I couldn't have loved this book more.
It was sweet, it was romantic, it made me cry, it made me hopeful, it made me bitter that there weren't books like this when I was growing up, but it made me so happy there are books like this now for those who need it.

OMG. If you're wondering if this book is worth the hype, IT'S WORTH IT. This book is EVERYTHING.
From the loveable, complex, diverse cast of characters, to the heart-stopping enemies-to-lovers romance, to the political aspects that absolutely break your heart because of what could have been, this book stole my heart and ran away with it and got a tattoo of this book cover on it's ass.

Stand back with the pitchforks.
The award for the most over hyped, biggest book disappointment of the year,so far, goes to this book.
Firstly, let's address the fact that this book had over 2000 ratings/reviews before it was made available to buy. What on earth is all that about? Surely that many review copies weren't available? BUT, it certainly worked....I've never been so interested in reading something.I mean I've lost count of this appearing on my feed with so many glowing reviews .And t ...more

[Henry] is definitely not sweaty or disgusting. He is, instead, bathed dramatically in a sweeping and resplendent sunset, wearing a crisp black jacket and riding pants tucked into his boots, looking every inch an actual fairy-tale prince.
