Book Tour ~ Sesame Swallow, Private Investigator by D. Scott Meek

Sesame Swallow, Private Investigator
By- D. Scott Meek
Publication Date- November 13, 2013
Genre- Romance/ Mystery/Comedy
~ Blurb ~
Looking for a chance to make a name for herself, Sesame Swallow, wanna-be Baltimore private eye, finds herself in the midst of her first real case and on a slipperier slope than usual to danger.
If Nancy Drew had come of age in the modern world, worn eye-popping short skirts and stilettos and drank Johnny Walker Black with the best of them, she would have been Sesame Swallow, a late-twenties party girl with an oral fetish straight from the not-so-hallowed halls of a local college and looking to make a splash in the shady world of private investigation. After months of questioning her career move, Sesame finally lands her first case: find a missing person, the web-famous wife of a local entrepreneur and wealthy businessman, but she’ll need to get her hands and her knees dirty to do the deed. A raunchy, laugh-out-loud adventure, this first in a series of seductive mysteries finds our sexy heroine doing what she does best: whatever must be done to whomever she must do it.
“I really enjoyed reading Sesame Swallow, there was a dark twist in the story line that just drew you in. The sex scenes were hot, and the connection to the characters was pretty deep. This story also brings to light a global crime that some may not even be aware of—human trafficking. I think it takes talent, like D. Scott Meek’s, to bring a very real problem into a fictional story and make it work.” ~Thom Cahir, author of “911 Avenged”

~Excerpt~
Sesame is in her favorite place doing her first research into the missing person, one Goldie Rains, an almost-famous internet porn star on her own website MakingItRain.com. Looking at porn in a public place can result in all kinds of interesting conversations.
Excerpt #1:
Sitting in Starbutts with my tall, skinny, extra whip, white chocolate mocha and blueberry muffin was always enjoyable, and today was or was not an exception – the jury was still out. I had my favorite jeans on, the ones that hugged my ass just right, my white Towson Tigers Soccer hoodie – the tiger was pink and black like a little stuffed animal – and my hair in a ponytail, except for that one little bit that kept falling in my eyes. Comfortable and presentable, maybe even hot by the way I’d caught a few boys giving me the eye. I even had my tortoise shell-rimmed glasses on, my “academic look”, and I’d found the perfect kicks to go with my hoodie – black with pink swoosh. I gazed down at them and smiled, silently thanking Nike yet again for their outlet up in Lancaster. It was never too early in the day to look cute, and besides, my watch looked vaguely like noon, or was it more like one – I couldn’t quite tell because my vision was a little hazy still. Of course, there were a few downers. My head was on the very edge of exploding – probably accounted for the vision thing, and I’d taken as much extra-strength whatever as was possible without sending me into a coma. The pain was fading entirely too slowly, but there was some progress, and the stomach was not so much growling anymore, most of the muffin having disappeared down some dark hole recently reserved for other tasty snacks. Now, with a little caffeine, I was feeling content, if not fully alive. The patient was going to make it.
I was not raring to go, as my father would say. In fact, I was sure that I was supposed to be still sleeping. Wasn’t there a queen-sized bed with my name on it somewhere? I vaguely remembered being in it, and suddenly I was sure Bea still was. Bitch. I frowned, but the thought of her lying there naked in my bed reminded me of the other part of my body – besides my head – that was throbbing, and I squeezed my legs together. She’d expressly told me not to touch until I had gotten a move on in this case, and I didn’t want to disappoint her. To some degree she was right. I needed to get going on this thing and at least put some effort into earning the money I was looking at: ten grand. Otherwise, without a little forceful hand from a friend, I’d be spending most of my day in my yellow Towson Soccer baby doll t-shirt with my hands on my pussy, wasting the day away in an orgasmic frenzy – if she let me. I thought of the big yellow over-stuffed chair sitting in the sun next to bedroom window, my legs open and feet pressed against the warm glass – a window-washer’s dream come true – and I crossed my legs. Not now. As Bea said, if I was a “good girl” and made some progress, there would be something in it for me later. Double bitch. I was hoping it would be something large and hard, so I was going to be a good girl.
Back to work.
I focused on the muffin and stuffed the rest of it into my mouth, following it up with another swig of the mocha – what a combination! – and glanced down at my iPad again. I’d scrawled a few notes on it with my stylus using a very cool new note-taking app that I’d only downloaded a few days before. I stared at my handwriting, felt my eyes struggle to focus, and read off the notes I must have jotted down when I’d come in and was still operating in semi-sleep mode.
Lindsay Rains, aka, Goldie Showers. 23. MakingItRain.com. I tapped the icon next to the url and pulled up the site. It might give me something; it might not. It certainly gave me an eyeful. After the entrance page and typing in my year of birth – getting carded on the web was at least the stupidest thing ever invented – I was brought to the guest/intro page, and there was Lindsay, her torso anyway – from the top of her head to what looked to be just above her nipples, and her eyes shut as a clear liquid came squirting down onto her, splashing first in her hair and then onto her face. She made a little cooing sound and opened her mouth, where the stream was then directed. Then the clip restarted, and she was smiling at me, great big grey eyes, long eyelashes (piss-proof mascara?), and the tops of her massive jugs. The piss started again, and she took it with a smile.
I took a deep breath. Damn, the bitch really went for it. She figuratively, and literally, I guess, drank it down. I stared at it bewildered, not sure how I felt about it – I hated anything on my hair or face, which is why I always swallowed. But this was piss. Or maybe it was water and looked like piss – there was no way to tell now, but maybe it would be clearer as I went deeper into the site. Still, she smiled and she swallowed, and suddenly I wondered if that’s what I’d look like, and if I’d go for the hot steaming stream like she did.
I shuddered, and I squeezed my legs together. Not sure. Didn’t want to think about it.
Suddenly, from behind me, I heard a chuckle. I spun – too quickly, and my head screamed out in pain; I’m not sure if I screamed or not. Behind me, when my vision cleared, were two stupid boys, staring at my iPad. Jesus! Just what I needed – caught in a Starbutts watching a girl get pissed on and trying to decide if it was hot or not!
“Kinky,” said the douche on the left. He had his hat on backwards – clear douche sign. The other giggled and sipped his iced coffee through a straw. He was cute, but that made no difference to me at the moment; he could be the Crown Prince of CasholaStan, and I’d have kicked him in the balls. After all, they’d both nearly killed me by making me wrench around so quickly. And they both needed to – .
“Fuck off,” I grumbled through a polite-ish smile, keeping my voice low but forceful enough that they’d know what they were getting into. I hoped they could see the murder in my eyes.
“Say, sweetness,” said the one with the hat as he leaned down on the back of the chair, entirely too close for my comfort, making me wish I had a taser, “if you are looking for a little wet work, Bobby and I can probably oblige. Right, Bob?” Bob nodded, and I could see the sudden hope light up his face like a firework display on a dark night. Yeah, it’s early on a Saturday, and we are out sipping coffee and hoping to run into a girl who likes to be pissed on – what the fuck? Was this the real world? And then I realized it was the B, and in the B, stupid assholes were everywhere. They didn’t call it “Charm City” for nothing, right?
I squinched up my face as if I was contemplating it and then set them straight. “I tell you what, boys. If you are down, maybe later I’ll come by and show you what a hot shower is all about, huh?” They seemed to both brighten at the prospect, and if I’d looked, I’m sure I would have seen the hint of a boner in both, but I kept my eyes locked on theirs for the moment. “I have a thing for golden showers, as you can see, so if you boys are game, I can stop by and piss on you both. Is that cool?” The smiles faded away quickly, and I almost wanted to laugh. “Just both of you be naked and laying together, say in the tub, and I’ll pull my panties to the side and make it rain. What do you say? I love pissing on cute little boys like you. And afterward, maybe you can make out or jerk each other off. That shit makes me hot.”
They didn’t hang around. “Fuck you, freak,” said Douche Number One, and he walked off. Bob, the cute one, gave me the once over as they headed out the door, and he looked back again when they got to the door. Maybe he thought that was hot. Maybe he didn’t mind grabbing on his boy’s junk for a hot chick – hell, boys weren’t that bright around here from what I’d seen. As for me, well, I certainly would have enjoyed it – not gone through with it, of course, but the idea of pissing on those two dickheads suddenly made my head feel better. So did the idea of getting a taser. I giggled to myself as I watched them disappear and turned back to my business. Douches defeated; it was time to get serious.
~Book Soundtrack~
D. Scott Meek: ”Sesame, as it states up front, is a party girl. She loves to go out, have fun, and get her drink on, which as we know is Johnny Walker Black. That is, she’s serious. It’s not about going out to impress boys, look for love, or create drama. Sesame is not interested in any of that. Impressing boys is a waste of time; Sesame is confident and happy with herself, so they’ll be impressed or they won’t be – it’s not her problem. She isn’t looking for love; she’s been down enough bad roads to worry about that journey. Sesame wants to play, and boys love when a girl has her own agenda and not only wants what she wants but is not afraid to go get it. And Sesame isn’t about drama. Leave that to the other girls; she has better things to do than point fingers – can result in broken nails and broken noses, pout – causes wrinkles, and play the game – too many people are playing it. Sesame just wants to dance. Her playlist, whether it’s when she’s getting ready to go out or waiting for that perfect song at the club, is pretty solid”
Far East Movement – Like a G6
Justin Timberlake – Mirrors
Justin Timberlake/Jay Z – Suit & Tie
Britney Spears – It’s Britney, Bitch
Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pool
Beyonce – Run The World
Beyonce – Single Ladies
Pitbull – Feel This Moment
Day ‘N Nite – Kid Cudi
Pink – Raise Your Glass
Taio Cruz – Break Your Heart
Ke$ha – We Are Who We Are
Feeling Love – Paula Cole
Every Girl in the World – Young Money
Swedish House Mafia – Miami 2 Ibiza
Commander – Kelly Rowland
Rumor Has It – Adele
Lady Gaga – Applause
Battle Scars – Guy Sebastian & Lupe Fiasco
Let’s Go – Calvin Harris
~Dream Cast~
D. Scott Meek: ”Cool. I do look at pictures for a lot of story ideas, but I don’t usually look up actors and see who might fit the roles. At the same time, I get these questions a lot for my writing, so it was fun to look these folks up and get a sense of who might be playing in the movie. Of course, Sesame Swallow is a raunchy mystery with an emphasis on “raunchy”, so I doubt we’d see any of these folks in any movie based on this character, but that doesn’t mean we can play with the idea, right? So, that said, here’s the list…”
Emma Watson we all know from Harry Potter, etc. – she has the right kind of sophistication and sex appeal to portray a young woman (Sesame Swallow) trying to find her way in the world while trying to save others and herself.
For Howard Rains, the man who puts the story in motion, I thought Tom Wilkinson had the right look. He’s not too old; he’s not sexy. He can play the part of the older lecher and pull it off.
After seeing her in In Time with Justin Timberlake, I thought Amanda Seyfried was perfect as Lindsay Rains, the girl who uses her body to get where she’s going. We need someone who looks a little “wild child” here, and Amanda has that look.
Ian Somerhalder, with his dark hair and icy blue eyes, is the perfect Alex, the guy who gets handed panties while he’s walking down the street. Early thirties, sophisticated, and debonair – just what would sweep an unsuspecting girl off her feet.
Russell Brand’s choice as Carlos was almost too perfect, in my opinion. Carlos, the trouble-making ex, the guy who is a little crazier than everyone else, and the perfect ex-boyfriend of Sesame Swallow, who loves the bad boys at little too much.
I thought for Neal we needed someone who could go nerdy but still have the look at a bad boy underneath it all. Alex Pettyfer has that look. Throw a superhero t-shirt on him, maybe flatten his hair and give him some glasses, and he could be Neal easily.
As for the strippers that co-star in the story, I went mostly for looks; same with Bea. But Bill Murray is Mr. Ages is more just a wishlist kind of joke than anything else. I was looking for an actor over 60, but it’s hard to find B-list actors who you recognize a little but won’t steal the scene. Bill Murray, an A-lister, could totally do it though – stay in the background, just have his little fun moment with Sesame and then be gone.
What’s a mid-40′s divorced man to do after wrapping up twenty years in the US Navy? Why, start a career in teaching and writing, of course. Oh, and explore the world some more. And read everything possible. And go back to school. And enjoy every moment to its fullest.
A teacher for the government by day, I ply my wares at night on my laptop, where I’m cranking out silly blog posts, socio-political commentary, poetry, short stories and novels at an excessive rate. If I was driving, I’d have been pulled over by now. Meanwhile, I have kids to raise, a girlfriend to love, and a spunky wiener dog named Sloppy Joe to goof around with.
Beyond that, I’m busy with life, having fun, working out, going to parties, traveling, etc. When I burn out and die, I want to be able to say that I did everything that was possible for me to do. I want to die like I live: with a smile on my face.

Aunt Lizzie’s thinking cooking, cleaning and looking after a family; Lily wants a career that isn’t home-running. Aunt Lizzie’s not bent on making Lily have her way. So what would Lily do? She’d plot to gain her inheritance. She’d plot to gain her freedom. Her dad’s will says nothing about Mr. Right, neither does it mention an aspiring actress eager to break into Hollywood.
Join Lily in her quest for freedom as she poses as a couple with Clare behind a camouflage of flashy cars and cupcakes in order to get that inheritance. Follow this hilarious recipe of a low self-esteem girl, a sassy self-employed actress, an Aunt whose quotes would get you raising brows and two grannies who are willing to help low self-esteem girl. But watch out, one has a pistol which she stashes in her underwear.
Message From The Author: I’ve had lots of inspiration for writing. But the one that moved me into publishing my very first novel, I Don’t Know How She Will Do It has to go to Allison Pearson. Words can’t describe how much I loved I Don’t Know How She Does It─both the book and the movie. Something about Kate’s struggle and how lovable she was portrayed made me nuts to pen something down. Days and days the title I Don’t Know How She Does It resounded constantly in my sleep, in my wake, every moment in my life (mainly because it was one hell of a funky title). I was practically haunted to put down my baby I Don’t Know How She Will Do It. Though they are both different stories, they both portray that sense of feminism that makes women all around the world proud. And that’s why I penned I Don’t Know How She Will Do It, a short story that would make women rejoice for their womanhood and cheering them for giving men a run for their money. There are points I might make you reach for your Kleenex, but forgive me for you will laugh at so many moments they would make up for all my sins.
Best,
Kobby.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
First of all, Kobby TettehGyampoh, simply Kobby, hates referring to himself in third-person.
I just turned eighteen. I am Ghanaian and have always loved Chick-lit. My Chick-lit role models would be Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes, Janet Evanovich and Sarah Strohmeyer.
I was introduced to the genre when I was thirteen. Sarah Strohmeyer made the introduction with her Bubbles Series. Since I read Bubbles, I quit writing Harlequin-styled romances and have always considered myself-since then, a humor writer.
My biggest dream is to be an EIC to a lifestyle magazine someday like Kate White-for my obsession for Cosmo’s language since she was running as editor. But for now, I am good with studying English to break into Advertising someday.
I am currently working on my next title which is sort of a series like Cupcakes R US, but it’s based on the lives of editors, columnists and freelancers in a Cosmo-lookalike magazine. Which would be available in more formats than kindle. Epub, PDF, Docx, Doc, Mobi, PowerPoint. And oh, Paperback.
If I am not writing something funny, I spend most of my time reviewing something funny on my blog, ChickLit Pad (http://chicklitpad.blogspot.com).
RELEASE DATE IS 3rd Febuary. Please be sure to check it out on Amazon

Fender Bender Blues is on sale for a short time!!!
I’ve been so wrapped up in my new series, that I’ve been neglecting my baby, Fender Bender Blues. To celebrate the 99 cent sale, I thought it’d be nice to have a book tour. There will be some fun spotlights, excerpts, the playlist I listened to while writing Fender Bender Blues, my dream cast if Fender Bender Blues were to be made into a movie, and my song selection for the book soundtrack.

Perhaps I Should Learn to Write Screenplays
I love everything about Romantic Comedy movies and novels.
They’re my addiction when it comes to video and reading… I also have a serious addiction to paranormal movies and novels, sssshhhhh. If you love RomCom as much as me, feel free to chat up Romantic Comedy with me on twitter at #iheartRomCom. I absolutely love to talk about new books and love, love, love to hear about any new RomCom movies that might be out there that I haven’t watched!
Today, I’m writing a scene that I find hilarious and charming, and, as with every book I write, I always see these scenes in my head as something that will eventually be on screen (I hope). I write them this way on purpose, it’s how I’ve always written. I visualize it first, play by play, then I grab a pen and paper and write down what I see before I take it to the laptop. I wonder if a lot of other people write their stories this way? I’m sure they do. Novels are meant to play out in people’s heads.
I’ve discovered that I really, really want to learn to write screenplays. I have no idea where to start! I plan to ask as many writers as possible what to do about this new “must-do” that I have. If any of my friends out there have any suggestions, message me!
I know most of you who follow my blog or read my books must also be RomCom fans. I seriously *heart* RomCom! What’s your favorite RomCom movie or novel? I have so many, it’s so hard to choose, but anything with Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon are must-watch movies for me. As far as RomCom novels, one of my all-time favorite books is Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. If you haven’t read it, get it. Now. *Love*
Hope everyone is having a great weekend I better get back to writing Done With Love!

~ Excerpt ~
On the television set, which was fighting to stay alive, was breaking news. She caught bits and pieces of it as she emptied the bowl of blood-tainted water and threw out the cloth. It was about a high-speed chase that had occurred about a half-hour ago. Beth shook her head. Apparently, Donovan wasn’t the only idiot driving around during a hurricane.
She went back into the living room and began replacing all the medical supplies into the first-aid kit. Behind her, a reporter was explaining that the driver of the car was believed to be a murder suspect.
“The name of the—”
The lights flashed, prompting Beth to snatch up her flashlight.
“Donovan Goldwyn.”
Her fingers went cold around the plastic tube as ice frosted her veins. She straightened her spine and turned stiffly to the television, her heart wasn’t beating in her chest. On the screen was the picture of the man who was right now changing in her bedroom. Above it was a caption in bold letters that read—SUSPECT.
She gripped the flashlight in her frozen fingers. Her heart thudded fearfully. She stared into the immobilized violet eyes through the glass.
“Oh my god,” she gasped.
She had brought a murderer into her home!
~ Bonus ~
What would you find in Beth Kennedy’s purse?
Ziploc bag of jelly beans
SPF 50 Sunscreen
Wallet with a gift card to Bass Pro Shop
Map of Florida’s rivers
Mechanic receipt for her crappy car
The keys to her crappy car
Pepper Spray Keychain
Big sunglasses
Cherry Lip Balm
A few loose Band-aids

My Little Sister’s Wedding Is Ruining My Life…
Okay, okay, that statement seems a bit obnoxious for a romance novelist. But seriously, my little sister is a semi-bridezilla, working her way up to a full-out-bridezilla, and with only five months until the wedding, every conversation is about dresses. Dresses. Dresses. HAHA!!!
And really, she is going to make a beautiful bride. I’m so happy for her My issue is not with this day she swears must be perfect “or else”, but with myself. I. Have. Let. Myself. Go.
I’m a mess after two years of being extremely inactive (I work in a law office and when I’m not on my butt doing the legal thing, I’m at home doing the transcription thing, or doing the writing thing). All three of my jobs require a lot of chair time. Ha!
People keep telling me I really don’t have much to lose, it really won’t take me long… Tell that to the girl panting on the treadmill or killing herself with intense cardio and cursing the bridesmaid’s dress she has to squeeze into. What I have discovered is that I have muscles I didn’t know existed. When I was physically fit and working out all the time, those muscles didn’t ache, that I remember. Now that I’m going from zero to 60, I realize why people should always have some type of workout routine at least two to three days a week! Whoa!
Anyway, I’m doing all sorts of things to try and tone up for this wedding. They include a ReFirm appetite control mix, a Prime Drive energy fat-burning mix, Slim in 6 cardio from BeachBody, treadmill, and hopefully in another four weeks I’ll be ready to try Insanity again. I did that once and blacked out a few times and threw up in the toilet. Haha!!! I suggest never starting that program first if you haven’t exercised in years. Learned my lesson.
It’s just after the New Year, so I’m sure a ton of you have a resolution for 2014 to get fit or healthier. Feel free to give me pointers…I have high expectations and I’m super lazy. HAHA!!!

Why Are People Such Bullies?
I decided to go on a Facebook blackout for the next week. I have my personal reasons; I need to make a writing deadline and social media, especially Facebook, can be so time consuming.
But another reason I was okay with taking a break is because I honestly have gotten tired of seeing so many of the posts that are all over Facebook. It’s like, people have forgotten how to interact with others in a socially acceptable manner now that they can sit in their own homes and browse through other people’s lives. Of course, people put their lives out there for others to see; that’s their choice. But since when was it okay to insult others, or to judge them so harshly, to post bitter, hateful comments when they are in disagreement with something, or to wage snub-this-person wars because of jealousy over another person’s achievements in life?
It’s so easy to forget the power of our words, and they pain they can cause…
As an author, I choose to keep a Facebook page as a public profile. It’s a way for readers to find me, if they want to. There are many celebrities who have public profiles, as well as pages. Posting on them opens their lives up to camaraderie and friendship…or criticism.
I saw reaction t0 a picture posted by a public figure the other day that really disturbed me. He is a face of a nutrition and supplement company, and therefore his body and image are key to their sponsorship. He is a means of motivation for others to see and aspire to reach their own health goals. After he posted an image there was backlash calling into question his role as a spouse to his wife, his integrity and morality. I was really floored by it. Floored, because these are strangers posting, people who do not know him personally, know his wife or his family, or whether anything they say has merit. And, forgetting the fact that him being sponsored by a company who makes nutrition and exercise supplements means he posts pictures to motivate and inspire. It’s his job. I admit after reading some of the comments, I was very disgusted with what Facebook has become.
It’s not just the fact that people feel brave with insulting and passing judgment on social media, but I’ve also seen so many people posting negatively when it comes to themselves. One of my greatest annoyances are the posts that start or end with “FML”. I think we all know what that stands for, but if not, here it is: f@ my life. My news feed often is flooded with these kinds of negative posts. Seeing “FML” makes me cringe…and makes me so sad.
When did we all become zombies???
I think people are so caught up in social media, forgetting that the best social interaction is face to face conversations; those moments that remind us that we are human beings, instead of disconnected robots on the other side of a keyboard, blasting out messages and comments without thinking of the consequences our words might have on others. People are so plugged in, that we can’t even function in the real world any longer. I am one of them. Always with a phone in my hand, a tablet in my lap, or in front of a computer.
It reminds me of a movie I saw not too long ago, starring Bruce Willis, called Surrogates. If you haven’t watched it, you should.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
Smooches,

Paul Walker ~~ My Heart Is Sad :(
No, I didn’t know him personally, but I have always loved him as an actor. And, he wasn’t just an actor, he was a philanthropist. His charity donated to victims of natural disasters around the world. Even that day, he had held a charity event for the survivors of the typhoon that hit the Philippines, a natural disaster that is close to my heart, as I have family there, as my mom’s heart hurts for the pain her country is going through in recovering and healing from that devastation.
So, while I mourn the loss of a man who entertained both my husband and I with his Fast & Furious movies, the world also lost a great man who used his fame for good–to help those less fortunate.
My prayers go out to his surviving family and loved ones. My heart hurts for the pain you must being going through. #RIPPaulWalker
