Wellness for Writers: Getting Started
Wellness is a hot topic in the media these days. Well, it hasreallybeen a hot topic forever. Who doesn’t want to be healthy, strong, and vibrant? I charge you to find one person that would rather be tired, unfit, and sedentary. While people might make choices that lead them to be tired, unfit, and sedentary, most folks don’t want to be that way forever. Most people I know are trying to live a healthy lifestyle. If they’re not, they wouldliketo be living one. I, personally, have had a very lon...

My Winter Must-Reads!
So, my to-read list of books is CRAZY long. I have a ton of books that I have my eye on and would love to devour when I have a spare afternoon. With Christmas quickly approaching, there aren’t many free days available for such things! So sad. I’m sure, however, throughout the busyness that I’ll somehow squeeze in plenty of short reading sessions. Though I have probably a bazillion books to choose from during the wintry days ahead, the following books are at the top of my list! Take a look at...

What You Might Have Missed This Week
I’m pretty proud of this picture. I took it last Christmas Eve at our church’s Christmas Eve service! That was such a special night. I can’t wait until Christmas Eve this year to celebrate with my brothers and sisters the birth of Our Lord.
Everything is starting to feel all “Christmas-y” despite the fact that it is still pretty warm outside (for my taste). In all the excitement of the Christmas season, it’s hard to keep up with all of our favorite blogs, so I’m making it easy for ya! Here are...

A Christmas Tale: “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”
I’ve always loved the poem “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”. When I was little, though, I often mixed up the words. For instance, I would say, “Not a stirrin’ was creaturin’” (instead of “not a creature was stirring”)…It was all fun for the adults, but I have no idea how I mixed that up…
As a part of our “A Christmas Tale” Blog Event, I must post about 3 Christmas reading traditions I either do already or would like to start one day. When the Philosopher and I have little ones of...

Leaves Talk: Snow Angels
They’re dreaming, I can tell you that right now! It was in the SEVENTIES this week in my little corner of the world. I’m a bit sad about it. I love the snow! I want it to snow! Okay…temper tantrum is over now. *Calm*
Are you stuck with a warm Christmas season, too? Looking for some snow? (WARNING: Shameless self-promotion to ensue!) Well, as it happens, both my published books take place on a planet that has snow-covered landscapes 100% of the year! I’ve always loved snow and when I wrote my...

Wednesday Wanderment
Oh…how I wish this is what my neighborhood looked like today! I ADORE snow. A-D-O-R-E it. This is a picture from two years ago. We haven’t seen a good snow since then. Living in the south is not the best place to experience snow, I know, but I can still dream about it, right? If you’ve readNight BellsandSilent Shades, you’ll know that I like writing about snow. It’s always so quiet and tranquil when it has snowed all night and in the morning, you wake up to a gorgeous, wintry wonderland!
Okay....
Christmas Tale: Book Review on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens
Title: A Christmas Carol
Author:Charles Dickens
Length:Novella//Short Story
Genre:Holiday//Classic//Fantasy
My Rating:4/5 Stars
This is the first book review for the “A Christmas Tale” Blog Event! I’m so excited to share my review of this classic story with you today. Don’t throw rocks at me for giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. I know most people out there think this book is printed gold–and it is quite amazing–but I had some irritations with it. Let’s get all the good out of the way first, though.
Dic...
