Release Week Madness! Night Bells Writing Playlist
I’m a big believer in music. All growing up, I loved a variety of styles and musicians. On any given day, I might listen to classic rock, opera, rap, and celtic! Eclectic is the term. So, when you see my playlist from my Night Bellswriting time, don’t be surprised by the variety.
These songs are merely listed below, because I’m not cool enough to have them in a handy dandy widget. However, I think if you go and look them up, you’ll thoroughly enjoy them. Again, don’t be surprised by the eclect...

Release Week Madness! An Indie on Writing a Novel
Though I’ve written many other books in the last two years, it actually took me a little over two years (closer to two and a half) to finish Night Bells. One night in college, while I was sitting and moping in my dorm room over my major, I decided to sit down and indulge my true passion:writing. Littl...

Release Week Madness! Night Bells Fashion
I am nerd like this, but I think it’s fun to draw sketches of my characters and the clothing they wear. When I was a kid, I drew clothes and outfits ALL the time. I think it’s neat to attach cultural clothing forms to my novels. So, today, I’m bringing you examples of what the two main characters of Night Bells might wear on any given day.
First off, we have boy fashion:
Collar designs are often embroidered on special outfits (i.e. for important occasions). Boys tend to wear loose trousers and...

Release Week Madness! Map of Oban
I have always loved drawing maps. When I was younger, for every story I wrote, there would typically be a map drawn for the setting. I was particularly inspired to do this, I think, by J.R.R. Tolkien’s amazingly detailed maps of Middle Earth. In my Tales from Niflheim series, many locations are spoken of and focused on. I thought it would be fun for you to see what I’ve been thinking in my head while writing! Without further ado, here is the map of the country Oban!
Oban is the country in whic...
