Home Stretch

What Have I been Doing Today?

Formatting like a madwoman. For reals. Having never formatted a book for ebook or print before, I am finding it somewhat challenging. Thankfully, though, the interwebs are AMAZING with tutorials and helpful tips.

Right now, I’m reading through my draft on my Kindle (after all my formatting). Thank goodness for html documents and MobiCreator. I have my draft open in MSWord while I’m reading for when I catch any screwy wordings or mistakes, formatting errors, etc.

Balance: Going on Overdrive

So, this was one of those mornings that I could have slept in for a bazillion hours. I am worn out. It’s a good worn out, though. I am working my heart out on my passion and that makes me happy. Only 8 days left to get this puppy ready to go and I’m gonna do it, I say! Yesterday, I worked until 5:20 or so and then my honey and I went out on a date! It was difficult to keep my mind in the present when I still had forty thousand book and publishing thoughts rolling around in my skull, but someh...

Wednesday Wanderment

Yep. Fall is officially on it’s way at my house. The apple cinnamon scented candles are out on display and I’ve been cooking up fancy fall dishes. The air is much cooler (though still in the 80′s for us Southerners) and we are enjoying the feeling of being able to walk outside without withering in the heat. Again, picture above is from a hike last fall.

This week, I have publishing on the brain. MAJOR. So, most of my posts will concern writing and publishing. (9 days, people! NINE DAYS)

Publishing Jitters

So, in the next few days, I have to get my book completely ready to publish. Then…I get to press the magic button and become a published author! I am crazy excited, but at the same time…I’m starting to get a little…frazzled. For most of the last few months, I’ve been excited and ready to get the ball rolling. Now…I’m sort of like…”AHHHH!
