Goodbye, summer…

Autumn has caught us in our summer wear. – Philip Larkin, British poet (1922-1986)

Love reading in the fall? Perhaps consider reading Night Bells! If you love mysterious, magical fantasies, then this is the book for you! You...

Title: The Emperor’s Edge

Author:Lindsay Buroker

My Rating: 5/5 Stars

I discovered Lindsay Buroker’s website while I was researching self-publishing tips. My Favorite Young Adult Books!

Though I don’t tend to think of classifying books as YA or Adult, there are many books that I adore that fall within the Young Adult category. I typically just devour a book if I know it’s Fantasy//Science Fiction. I don’t really pay attention to whether it’s YA or not. Still, I thought it would be fun to dig around my shelves and take out my favorites from this category. These Young Adult books pictured above all happen to be fantasies. If I’d remembered, I’d have grabbedEnder’s Game by Orso...

Reasons I’m Convinced I’m a Hobbit

So, I readThe HobbitandThe Lord of the Rings when I was in high school and ever since, I’ve been obsessed with Tolkien and his magnificent world! I read the books. I watch the movie. I’m one of those nerds who tries to learn Elvish (both Quenya and Sindarin varieties). I also play LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online). My race of choice in that game? Hobbit. No question. However, as I’m growing older, I’m finding myself more drawn to Hobbit-y life.

Things that make me convinced I’m a hobbit at hear...
