Terra Nova Antarctic Exploration
Accurate and beautiful images of the last unknown continent.
For more Details click here

Such was the strength of his work Edward Wilson helped to found the tradition of modern wildlife painting. In particular Wilson captured the essence of the flight and motion of Southern Ocean sea-birds on paper. Returning with Captain Scott aboard 'Terra Nova' (1910-1913) as Chief of Scientific Staff, he continued to record the continent and its wildlife with extraordinary deftness. Chosen to accompany Captain Scott to the South Pole, his last drawings are from one of the most famous epic journeys in exploration history. Along with his scientific work, Wilson's pencil recorded the finding of Roald Amundsen's tent at the South Pole by Captain Scott. Wilson died, along with the other members of the British Pole Party, during the return journey, in March 1912. Many of the images in this book are rarely seen or are previously unpublished.

The drawings and paintings were created at considerable personal cost in the freezing conditions in which Wilson worked. He often suffered severely from the cold whilst sketching and also from snow-blindness, or sunburn of the eye.
They provide a remarkable testament to one of the great figures of the heroic age of Antarctic exploration.

Girls playing with themselves is what my Aunt calls it

Girls playing with themselves is what my Aunt calls it ..........
I prefer to call it exercising my fingers ……and sometimes my toes as I am very flexible.
Some girls like to do it laying on the bed while they watch some hot guy on TV, where as when I do it I like to watch a good nature film showing Lions attacking wilder beasts and dragging them down in a mess of blood guts and gore …………. Yes it is normal now shut up …………….
All girls do it and it is good for you, I keep something special hidden under my bed to help and it is so good and hard it will take some time to wear it out.
Mine is made from seasoned oak smooth and polished to stop one getting splinters.
Yes I lay on the bed and placing the block of oak on my tummy I strike it with my clays and when I have a good grip I then bring my toe claws up to try and pull it away or to just lash out with them to create nice score marks in the wood.
Old mature oak I find is good and strong but I can still rip good size chucks out of it and wow does it feel good ……yes I do vacuum up the chippings before I sleep,…...I mean it is such a nice feeling to stretch ones claws in this way, and you will appreciate the exercise next time you are hanging from a ceiling by your finger nails.
And ceiling hanging is so important when you want to surprise you're pray by dropping on them and I can tell you something dropping on you from a height with four sets of very sharp claws is normally a terminal type of surprise.
As I said my Aunt calls it girls playing with themselves and I so wish she would not as one gets some very funny looks on visitor's faces when she tells them what I am doing in my bedroom!

Book Shelf Confessions on teenage girls that bite!
Bookshelf Confessions: Fangs Rule: A Girls Guide to Being a Vampire: Fangs Rule: A Girls Guide to Being a Vampire by Amy Mah My rating: 5 of 5 stars Paperback: 124 pages Publisher: Reardon Publishing...
Fang's Rule is a teenage girls guide to being a Vampire , that said, this a guide from A-Z which is all about a vampire's lifestyle, etc,.
I enjoyed this book a lot, especially nowadays when every talk in town, especially girl's gossips consisted of vampires, romance and gothic, well, this a good take, anew taste of vampirism, since this is light and funny, and surely recommended for all ages, there's no horrid nor goric thoughts in this.
The book is nice since it acts as a way of a teenage vampire girl to help her fellow vampires to cope with their surroundings, everything from fashion, food/blood, rank, covens, family, undead and even boyfriends, dates and romance are tackled in this cute book---a book any girl would want to have.
This guide is well written, it didn't look like the usual printed books but rather as if it's really a journal, but I have no trouble reading..:) with its conversational tone it was easy to follow.
Ms. Amy Mah has a wonderful sense of humor and this book is a masterpiece! There are lots of things in this guide that I have never heard of before. I thought I knew vampires!
In addition to good humor, which in every word made me laugh out loud plus a very gorgeous manga art by Heby Sim, layout and design was done by Nicholas Reardon this book is a must-have for every girl, or those who want to feel-like…:)
I really really love the drawings, vibrant and colorful, especially the cover, so Asian and spells dark..:) I read this in one sitting.
This book is either outrageously funny or awesomely funny, but I'll stick to the latter.
Manga book lovers, vampire lovers, girlish, artist would surely enjoy this… all the while with many laughs throughout the awesome artwork pages. I never thought being a vampire could be this fun!
Try it!

Description
The guide is fully illustrated by manga Artist Heby and is written in an easy to follow A - Z format explaining everything a teenage vampire girl would need to know about living life as a modern Vampire.
* What is fashionable to wear when eating out?
* Fang maintenance & how to keep your claws sharp.
* Should you let a boy bite you on the first date?
Easy to understand clear advice is given to every day problems.
Example: When you get an urge to bite:
We all get those normal urges to bite things, and I must point out it is very normal, Claws are all well and good in a fight but a bite gives the extra advantage of getting a refreshing drink at the same time.
Lots of girls worry about showing their Fangs in public believing that to show your fangs is rude, but don't be shy they can be a girls greatest asset (ok second greatest asset) if a boy is being rude to you, don't just snarl at him, just bite him! You are a vampire why do you think you have sharp teeth if not for sinking them into a boy that is being rude to you. (Goodreads)

Review
I never would have thought I would be reviewing an A to Z guide to anything, as books of that sort normally bore me to death. But, I loved every letter of Amy Mah's Fangs Rule: A Girls Guide to Being a Vampire.
I love the cover! When I tore the package open from the mail and saw the cover for the first time I squealed. The manga artwork that pops up throughout the book is amazing and adds so much to the story.
Fangs Rule is hilarious. Amy Mah has written her guide to girls in a very conversational/journal like style. In this guide I found info about fang care, fashion, and even how far to go on a first date. I really enjoyed Amy's fun character, she was sarcastic and snarky! (Which as most of you know are two of my favorite qualities.) One of my favorite quotes is from letter Z:
Fangs Rule is a quick fun read. I very much enjoyed the new and creative insights into Amy's vampire world.
Happy Reading,

Vampire Vacation and The Hunt by c.j. Ellisson
At times I wonder if people notice I am really a god slumming it down here with you crazy animals called the human race .............. ........but mostly I wonder if you can get cranberries and pecans in dark chocolate jumbo sized bars ...sigh..............I have been busy of late so missed out on telling you all of my latest reads the 1st two books in the VV Inn series by C.J. EllissonYou can pick them up cheap on things like kindle but I went and spent mega bucks on getting the paperbacks ………..and so worth it as they are printed on good paper and are something that will not turn brown ………I so like a nice printed book that one can read again. The books :'Vampire Vacation' and 'the Hunt' are hot steamy and very sexy and you will learn more than from and biology class! The writing is good ..the story is good……the characters are good ……… the sex is …….. well it is a story for over 18s ok.I can't find any book trailers to show you so I will give you some book links and what you will see on the author on places like Amazon.BiographyC.J. Ellisson is the author of the bestselling contemporary fantasy series The V V Inn. Right now there are two of the projected five books published, with the third releasing in early 2012. She also writes erotica with eleven other authors for the Kindle Blog sensation, Everything Erotic.
C.J. lives near Washington DC with her husband, two children aged eleven and nine, two Staffordshire Bull Terriers and a young cat she's newly allergic to. After spending most of her working life dealing with real estate - either as a sales manager, corporate trainer, Realtor, or as a property manager - she's now writing full time and happy for the first time in years. Writing has become her passion and to find people want to read her stories feels like a dream come true.
You can visit C.J. at her website (http://www.cjellisson.com) or search for her on Facebook and visit her author page. She loves hearing from readers!
Vampire VacationMeet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot -- a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.
Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.
Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?
'the Hunt'Vivian thinks she can control every aspect of a deadly game with her usual manipulations... but what if she can't?
Seven vampires and seven werewolves pay to hunt a supernatural criminal across the cold, vast grounds of an Alaskan resort. The one to catch her, and live through the encounter, will increase their power by feasting on hers. The tiny vampire they track is more than she appears, however. To escape a fate of twelve years in silver chains, she'll do anything to survive the weeklong excursion. This time, the darkness holds more than just the stinging bite of the Arctic--it holds death.http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_tc_2_0?rh=i%3Astripbooks%2Ck%3AC.J.+Ellisson&keywords=C.J.+Ellisson&ie=UTF8&qid=1326206471&sr=1-2-ent&field-contributor_id=B0044PMIJI

blood drinking denizens of the night are not nice

I am not in the mood for human stupidity at the best of times, and the best of times do not happen all that often
Someone just messaged me asking why I broadcast the name, link, address and birthday of an idiot that gave a review to a book that has not even been written yet.
Why? Well………….. mostly because I did not have the phone number and his bank details, I do try and make it easy for people to find him.
If I see something I think is stupid I will point it out and let others decide if it is stupid or not, not just with this but with anything I see in life, ridicule and public scorn is so needed today and we need far more of it, hopefully if we can get people to think more and try t be less stupid then perhaps we can stop them from killing in a gods name, if they wish to kill someone kill them in your own name and take the credit or blame for it.
Stupidity can start small and build to an overwhelming stupidity which can border on the verge of a mass form of evil as seen in several types of religions.
So to the world in general I say if you stop doing stupid stuff then I will not blog about it …………………… hell form the way things are going with the so called intelligent human race I expect I will have a few more blogs to do.
I blog and write as a sarcastic and cynical teenage vampire, and my followers do expect me to bite as I'm known for my blogs on race, religion, politics and the stupidity of the human race in general.
It is different commenting on a bad review to pointing out stupidity.
One reviewer I remember saying my vampires were not nice and did not even try to give up drinking human blood.
Ok it's a comment an odd one but at least the person read the book, did I suggest to her that she should read more than just twilight vampires?.......... No I did not! …. People are entitled to their opinions.
What I did do was say nothing but I did add to my publicity that my vampires are blood drinking denizens of the night and not nice at all, just in case people are under the impression that I mine are the vegetarian kind.
