they're so different. they may read BE in Phuket, of all places, and they may be alternatively gifted like this one. but he's an "author," "too confused to continue"

yet he is aware of his own deficiences. sort of. this one isn't: Одно время мне очень нравилась идея, что Сэлинджер теперь пишет под псевдонимом Томас Пинчон, который тоже весь такой загадочный и нигде не появляется. Меня не разубеждало даже то, что проза Пинчона на прозу корнишского затворника совсем не похожа: если начинаешь новую жизнь, можно и манеру сменить. Но в 2013 году Пинчон опубликовал новый роман «Bleeding Edge», вполне в своей манере, а главное — появилось свидетельство Салмана Рушди, который однажды с ним ужинал. Да и другие люди время от времени с ним видятся, он вроде как в последнее время стал открытее. Правда, я прочел его самый толстый роман «Against The Day», он мне сильно понравился, и поскольку главными его героями, связывающими все линии, являются как раз подростки — команда удивительного дирижабля, странствующего по миру на рубеже прошлого и позапрошлого веков, — это вполне мог быть Сэлинджер: но по ряду примет это вполне себе Пинчон, и самая красивая версия, увы, рухнула. guess who is this unselfconscious genius

i see tomatoes. nah, seriously, this has been going on for too long. now, in the spirit of the times, i really see no point in continuing this blog in russian. let's see if anyone cares. the end of the informational announcement. now, back to the business of news reporting.



no more than a year has passed (more, actually), and phantom-press finally decides to unveil the book. which, i believe, is better than the previous "kiddie" one by john boyne. more chamber-like, of sorts, like music

in the meantime, russian publishers are still "snapping their beaks"

Голос его негромок и полон отзвуков, он лукав и горек, но прежде всего он - добр. И очень естественен - как дыхание. Потому что автор не "пишет", не "сочиняет", не принимает позы и не демонстрирует технику, приемы или что еще там свойственно "поетам" - он так дышит. Стихи Казакевича всегда было хорошо читать, когда в окружающей наружности все скверно и гадко, но даже безотносительно к ней тексты Славы даруют силу и внутреннее дзэнское спокойствие. И смех, и слезы на глазах - все это одновременно. Как хайку, только ближе.


я обещал сказать, когда будет. так вот, теперь есть. две книги Вечеслава Казакевича - в предпочитаемом лабазе, можно заказывать отовсюду:



самый известный сборник и самая новая книжка

там же есть и другие книги издательства Николая Филимонова, насколько я понимаю

улетела в "фантом", выйдет когда-нибудь. вполне милая и местами довольно забавная книжка, с некоторой долей познавательной американы и эзотерики, касающейся загадочной южной души. оказывает терапевтическое воздействие - хотя бы тем, что все заканчивается, хорошо, несмотря на то, что многие умирают либо умрут довольно скоро. почему-то вечная жизнь как вариант хэппи-энда литературой никогда не рассматривается. удивительно

это по любви. книжка была некогда куплена в каком-то европейском аэропорту (кажется, пражском), и тот потом довольно долго сотрясался от раскатов нашего хохота. а теперь все получилось, и омнибус с третьей частью (от русских независимых книжных) выйдет, видимо, к концу весны в "додо". вероятно, также будет сопровождаться некоторыми усилиями по краудфандингу, поэтому вы об этом слышите не в последний раз.

when reading it, as well as the first book, you're constantly irritated by the general "customer" humanity yet some things they say still can reconcile you with people, rare and far between as they are. like life, only more compact
