WMD 9/15

Not writing on Shrikes, atm.

Between editing Not Likely and this WFH book, I stayed busy all day. After drop off I got to the computer at 9:00 for a session of editing on Not Likely and ended up adding two chapters at 3,889 words. During that time I broke twice to stretch my legs and then again to take a morning walk. The weather was nice, even it it did look a bit gloomy outside.

Not writing on Shrikes today. Editing Not Likely.

Early this morning, like while I was asleep, I received the editor revised manuscript for that WFH book I wrote in July. 3.5 weeks of writing a 95K novel…though it was kind of a rewrite. Long story.

Anyway…it’s now in my inbox and transferred to my desktop in the folder DO NOW! So for the next few days I’ll be reviewing and looking at this manuscript for as quick a turn around as possible. I’m anxious to see this book released. It’s been in conc...

This was a pretty good day production wise even though I started it out trying to catch up on housework. I tend to think of Housework as that carrot that’s always out in front of me. It’s a metaphor for something unattainable, ’cause there is always going to be housework.

After drop off I cleaned the kitchen and observed the moment of silence for 9/11 before hitting the computer in my office. There I finished up the covers for Not Likely, Dark Frost and Shrikes. (Shrikes is the working title for another pen name project).

After a relatively quiet morning drop off, it was grocery time. I’d already looked at the Bullet Journal to know most of my morning was going to get sucked up. Very productive day! Finished DragonFire!

After drop-off there was exercising. Sort of. Got to the computer at 9:00 and wrote 1,856. Took a break at 10:18 for housework. Then back to the computer at 11:20 for another 2,712 words. Broke for lunch at 12:42. Did some blog reading while I ate. Back to words at 2:00 for 1,914 words. Then it was car pool time.

After last night’s 2 mile walk along the beltline in seriously humid ninety degree weather (yes, even at night!), we got home, showered and fell into bed, which translated into getting up late. So we rolled out of bed closer to 10:00, both of us creaking and muttering, “ow, ow, ow” but thinking, that was fun!

Saturday mornings are always slow going. After some hot tea (I have English Breakfast and Mini-Me has peppermint) with bagels and cream cheese, I went to my computer and got as much writing done as I could before the day got too far into the evening.
