WMD 9/25

Up early again with another 3,452 words on Shrikes.

Morning drop off and then a nice long walk cause this weather? Awesome. I had an appointment at 11:30 so I went into my office and worked on websites until I broke for the appointment.

After lunch I did housework because it was backing up. Then it was pick up and a last minute trip to Office Depot to get stuff for a project due on Friday. Yes…they always leave this crap to the last minute.

After dinner and the news, I went back to cover tweakin...

WMD 9/24

Restarted a new schedule today. We’ll see how long I can maintain it.

Got up 2 hours earlier and wrote on Shrikes. Managed 3,287 words before it was time to start the morning Operation: Get to School routine. I’m hoping to build that number of words back up as I get into this schedule. It’s one I used a year ago and worked. As long as I can get those 7 hours of sleep, I’m good.

Writing Shrikes. And I’m looking at the end of this book hopefully by the end of weekend. *crosses fingers* That’ll be 2 books done, 1 in August and 1 in September, and then Mysterious Times for October… I wonder if I can do 2 books in a month.That would take planning.

After drop off I headed to Office Depot to grab a new mouse. They had a sale going on some Logitech silver. But since they ran out of silver they gave me a blue one for the same price. As long as it works.

WMD 9/22

Back to writing Shrikes.

Just a few groceries after drop off. And some dishes. Got to the computer at 9:30 and wrote 1,882 then took a break. Back again and wrote another 2,110. Stopped to take a walk because…wow…the weather is GREEEEEEAT! Yes!

But when I got back to the writing computer I only managed 881 words before the mouse gave up the ghost. It wasn’t the batteries. It just died. I assumed that was about to happen since it was starting to stick and I’d have to click on something five to a...

Edit: And again…I set this thing to post at 9 tonight and not 9 this morning. argh…

No writing today. Today was spent with my mom. The daughter and I drove out to her house yesterdayand spent the night with her, then today she took daughter shopping for her birthday. I think the daughter unit might have over hugged mom a bit after that shopping trip. But now she knows what her grandma means when she says “Shop till you drop!”

Writing Shrikes. Editing Not Likely.

Got up pretty early and did housework before starting. Got a trip this afternoon so I made sure I had the morning.

Finished editing Not Likely. W00t! So I’ll compile this up and send it to my beta reader before it goes to an editor. This one is close to release!

No new words. But I feel accomplished!

Writing Shrikes. Editing Not Likely.

I did the ultimate no-no today. My plan after drop-off was to go by B&N and pickup a Moleskine for my Bullet Journal. Because I went early there was no one at B&N so I picked one out, bought it and poof done. But… the Container Store was right next door and I’ve been on this Getting Organized binge for a while (ever since tossing 22 bags of crap out of the houseand preparing the daughter unit’s bedroom).

Back to writing Shrikes.

Only I woke to that WFH back in my mailbox again. Sooo…. I got it reviewed AND turned back around to the Editor before morning drop off.

Not writing anything atm. Another day ofEdits on WFH book. And to answer some questions I keep getting—yes this is a Shadowrun book. And it will be published with my name, unlike the Eureka! book was (under Cris Ramsay). I’ll be finished with this one tonight. There werejust a lot of interruptions to my day today.

First up, PICTURE DAY! And here’s the thing… the Daughter Unit hands me an order form. “I need a check.”

I look at the form. “For what?”

“My pictures.”

“But you haven’t taken them yet....

Not writing anything, atm.

The only thing I did all day (except for Car Pool and then hitting Wet Seal for the Daughter for a dress because tomorrow is Picture Day!) was edit this WFH. I got up periodically, I took a walk. Oh and I took a break to watch SoA. But I was working on this until well after midnight.

Which explains my sleepiness today.

And I’m still not quite done.
